It pains me that this took this ride away from me.

This was my first ever adult steel coaster and first looping coaster.

I'm glad it has a new home (or traveling home, I guess) That paint job looks just gorgeous.

What a beauty!

For a second there when I first read the title of this thread, I thought it was saying that Laser was being built inside of an IKEA.

Not that there would be anything wrong with that. I love IKEA, and I love Laser too!

^If that was the case I don't care how out of the way it would be, that's the only Ikea I would shop at!

The ride looks great and I love it when Schwarzkopf keep living on!

I just went to Dorney on July 4, and it killed me to see the vacant lot where Laser once stood. I'm gonna miss this ride, one of my first "big" coasters as a kid...

Awesome! What a great sight. A beautiful Schwarzy looking ready to roll again.

Lots of Germans are about to experience a delightful grey-out on that second loop.

Does anyone know where it is right now? Where in Germany?

It is in Hamburg.... like i wrote in the first post

Did the coaster come packed flat and was it assembled with one of those small hex tools??

Ok, it was going to be said, so I just took care of the obligatory IKEA joke

It cannot be verified as an IKEA coaster until they have almost finished building it and noticed the last screw is missing, therefore using a random old screw lying around that is slightly too long or short

Kooky (Kooky, lend me a comb), thanks for posting these pics. I'm so glad this lovely Schwrzy is getting a new lease on life--I know it sounds lame, but it's true. I wonder if the obligatory, CF seatbelts have been removed...

It looks brand new! They really fixed it up good. I'm glad to see Lazer is being put to good use.

Also IKEA is awesome, and that makes Lazer even awesomer now.

Hopefully, what made no sense was Laser ran at Dorney from 1986 - 2008 and CF owned the park from 1993 yet seatbelts were added in 2007. What I mean is why all of the sudden did CF add seatbelts especially since under their ownership of the park it ran without seatbelts for 14 seasons.

Hmmm you say this is the first IKEA coaster, but have you seen Montana Infinitum, AKA Dreier Looping?

I think, in the future, all Schwarzkopfs are going to be all blue and yellow and semi-crappily assembled

Laser looks great. No more faded Medusa wannabe colors and grease streaks. I'm glad this ride is refurbished and being assembled in Deutschland.

Knowing the Germans they probably laughed at zee stupid added seatbelts.

I've never ridden a looping Schwarzy, and even I know they shouldn't have seatbelts. Then again, with CF, they had seatbelts to lock their Arrow OTSRs... Go figure...
