Thanks for sharing the video! Yeah, it was definitely the wrong ride in the graphic. I didn't see it until it was too late - hopefully people don't look into it too much. But hey, if there weren't so many darn rides named GOLIATH we wouldn't have this problem! Haha.

Thanks again for sharing. Look for another construction tour in about a month.

That's such a cool news report! I love that he is an enthusiast! I wish there were more enthusiasts in the media!

Today's webcam image. Looks like they're going to keep on going with the overbank, and hopefully put more stacks of supports on top of the ones that are currently up.

Here is a link to Marcus Leshock's report from the Goliath Construction tour, taken from the WGN website!

I was trying to stay out of the camera's way, and I end up on channel 9 taking a picture of a coaster. I feel like a total nerd. And proud of it I'll be a coaster nerd to the end!

I'm surprised they used a picture of a same-name ride that clearly looks completely different. A picture of Texas Cyclone would have been closer. But I'm sure it has more to do with the Goliath logo?

I am so happy of Goliath's progress! Sorry if this is a dumb question because I know nothing about the actual physical construction of rides, but how is the construction crane-like car going to get out of the ride?

So that's what that's for! I've seen that on other coaster and wondered what it's for. Thanks!

Has anyone tried to mock up what the rollercoaster will eventually look like from the web cam angle? Seems like there's always some great Photoshop ninjas around, and I'd love to see it superimposed on top of what they've gotten constructed so far.

What a great upgrade from Iron Wolf!

I just checked the webcam, and I have to say its the warmest temperature I've seen on there in months! A blistering 20 degrees!

Looking at the construction, I see that the bridge will be good for stuff going under the "lift half" of the ride, but not good for where the crane currently is. The crane is now inside the first turn, so when a good part of that is done, I would imagine they'll drive the crane out and build the rest of that high curve from the outside of the curve.

Wow, they are really trucking along. And in this weather too! This project is easily getting more exciting for me as progress moves along. I was a little sceptical at first as to whether or not I woul like the way it would come out but as construction progresses I'm getting more and more eager to see the finished result.
