I would love to see a Wingrider at GRAm, and it's something I have mentioned in the past, BUT, I really hope that if we get one it's just a Wingrider, not a 4D. Looking at the layouts for Gardalands and Thorpes Wingrider, I just can't imagine they'd be better with flipping seats.

 

I agree. It looks awesome as is, with the legchoppers and inversions. I have been hoping this would be what we get. I hope it's accurate.

I'm hoping IW spot will be used for the next coaster. I think the SWF spot could be better used for some flat rides, or maybe a smaller sized coaster and a flat ride. There is always the old Magic-Quest building, is that used for anything? I heard it was going to be a Season Pass processing, but every time I went past it was just empty with no signs of life. If there tore down the building they could fit a flat(s) in it's spot and leave both the IW and SWF areas open for coasters.

^ I agree, that building space could be used for so much more, a shooting dark ride would be great there. That type of ride is certainly something the park lacks in.

Demon, as beloved as it is, is aging- and while the ride still has it's cheesy 70s charm to it... the mention in the FB campaign is this: Red White and Blue...

 

Could we be seeing the return of the Turn Of The Century? Or a repaint into those Colours? (I could wish for something magnificent like the removal of the loops, and the re-insertion of the airtime hills, but the odds of that happening are pretty low- as in zero.)

Leaked. Thanks WGN. American Eagle Blue side will run backwards again starting August 8th. Really don't get the timing here. As many of you may know, the Read To Succeed tickets expire August 7th, and in the days leading up to that date, the park will be absolutely packed. Not a time I would choose to have Blue side closed or open running only one train while maintenance turns cars around and moves brake fins and chain dogs.

You'd think they'd be smart enough to wait until its actually announced. Hopefully the announcement will have a few other surprises we can look forward to. About the Read to Succed..when does the park start getting busy from that? I was thinking of going within the next few days, mainly for IW, V2 and YC, but I'll wait a while if it'll be super busy.

That's not good. I was planning on going tomorrow as the only other time I've been to this park was the second Saturday it was open(not counting my visit when the park closed after I was only there for an hour), but if it is going to be packed, I guess I'll just go the next time I can in two weeks. I still might go as I won't have many more chances to visit this year, but that's not cool. I know summer is a bad time to visit the park, but I thought crowds were light this year.

Kind of sad that the video was leaked, considering that the Riptide Bay announcement was leaked before it's announcement too, but AE Blue will still be fun!

The video was gone within a couple hours, too. Hard to keep secrets in the digital age, but this one is on WGN as far as I can tell. Oh well. I think we had figured it out. Maybe there's more to the announcement.

The final clue. There's still a fair amount of stuff that hasn't been unblurred, but considering the clues stretch out over the whole page, I don't think they'll announce anything tomorrow, just backwards Eagle.

Just got back. I don't have any pictures, but a few things.

 

Trees have been planted by the go-karts. While still pretty open, the area continues to look better.

 

The Crazy Buffet-Lo was used as a cooling station with free water. Great to see Six Flags put guest comfort over income.

 

The park was packed, but Iron Wolf still didn't have a line. The ride will not be missed.

 

Someone in the car next to me on Giant Drop learned why you shouldn't try to sneak a phone on to film a POV. Gravity always wins.

 

Despite the crowds, the park was still very clean and operations were great.

Just a thought; Steve Miller's song "Fly Like an Eagle" makes no reference to anything about backwards, but it does contain the word, "Revolution" more then once. Something to chew on.

The oft-malfunctioning Revolution was placed in a pretty bold spot. I'm not acknowledging your hint, but I hope it either gets ripped out or moved, because it sucks. Take it out and replace it with a wild mouse.
