Nisshoku
Termination Day was outstanding. We had an excellent time. Thank you again!
sfmmrules!
Robb & Elissa next year have TPR rule SFMM(SFMM will only be open for TPR!) for a whole day with ERT on every single coaster including the new one. That is something I deffinately will not miss!!! Please try to do it for next summer!!!

packfanlv
^^That might be a bit expensive. Although this year at WCB because of poor weather in the morning, the park was really empty and it felt like we almost had it to ourselves!
robbalvey
Robb & Elissa next year have TPR rule SFMM(SFMM will only be open for TPR!) for a whole day with ERT on every single coaster including the new one. I have really mixed feelings about something like this. Â I've been to quite a few park buyouts, and to be honest, they don't feel as "special" as if you do something a bit more "out of the ordinary." Â Getting late and early ERT or a backstage tour, presentations, or something a normal guest can't do is quite "special" IMO. Â But a park buy out usually just feels like a non-busy day at the park. You might as well get a group of friends together and go on a mid-week day in May. Â You're so spread out that the camaraderie of the group is kind of lost. But you get 200 people together for ERT on Terminator and you've got something that has a LOT more energy than your typical day. Â That's just my thoughts on that... but having said that, if they offered us "whole park ERT" I certainly wouldn't turn it down! Â --Robb
ghost007jas
^ I think one positive of having an event so large is that you would be able to allow more people to attend, whereas you had to cap the attendees for the Termination Day. But I agree, that something a bit more "beyond the norm" is a lot more interesting, for me anyway.
FitchCoaster
You're so spread out that the camaraderie of the group is kind of lost. But you get 200 people together for ERT on Terminator and you've got something that has a LOT more energy than your typical day. Â I think that's exactly what made morning and night ERT so fun, is that bringing everyone together really generated a lot fun energy. Since we didn't attend the party, we spent the whole day at the park. The time in between the two ERT sessions was still fun, but it lacked the excitement of doing something special with a group of people. In fact, one of the major reasons why I fell in love with our ERT sessions was not only the rides on Terminator but how energetic and excited everyone was to be there. Â In my opinion, a park buyout would be cool if there were also extra things planned. Otherwise it would just feel like a normal, slow day at the park. I always thought buying out a park for a whole day would be awesome, but after finally doing a TPR event, I'd much rather take a few really "special perks" throughout the day. metrock
Â Bonus Pic #2: See!? Everybody really was dancing around. Â LMFAO!!!! So, you were the one with the camera. I didn't even know I could make such a face. Amazing! Where there any others of me that you didn't post? I'd love to see 'em. Â Thanks.
Jew
Pictures of Kobe at the park: Click here  Corey Maggette too!  I love how the captions call him a "sports personality" while calling Kobe the MVP.  Glad to see everyone had a great time!
Erik Johnson
Essentially TPR does have the entire park for around 90 minutes or a little more at the end of West Coast Bash with all the coasters in ERT mode.

cosmic hearse
Chiming in a bit late but thanks for a great event Robb and Elissa! It was my first time getting on Terminator and I was kind of concerned about it living up to the reviews that everyone had been posting. It far exceeded my expectations and definitely lived up to what everyone had said about the ride. It is possibly in a tie for my favorite ride in the park. The night rides were insanely fun and the coaster is even better at night! Hopefully management has no plans to add anymore lights than are on it at the moment because it is awesome in the dark. The ride operator was awesome during night ERT, that is the kind of enthusiasm that the rest of the parks ride operators should have. The only bad part about night ERT was the short stocky employee that was checking restraints on the right side of the train, as he checked he'd shove your restraint into your stomach. I don't know if any of you guys experienced this as well but it felt like you were getting socked in the stomach. Aside from that we had a blast! Can't wait to get back to the park to get some more rides in on Terminator. Overall we got about 15 rides in that day. Â Thanks for the break from the heat too Robb, it was exactly what was needed to make it through the day. I think I was talking to Chris Higgins while eating your infamous wings and he was disappointed because he'd been wanting to see some funny reactions but there had been none. Well he missed out. After I had some of your hot wings my lips were on fire! They were literally numb for a good 15 minutes! The odd thing was that my mouth was fine it was just my lips! I had to ice them down for quite some time. Next time I'll be sure to try the mild ones instead. Thanks again for everything you guys do.
SuperShawn
^ I've noticed a lot of the ride ops on Terminator shove the lap bars in when checking them. And there's really no way to prepare for it as the run down the rows. I guess it's a small price to pay for such a fun ride.
dino
^^ Yeah, me & my nephew definitely felt them shove the lapbar when securing it. It was during both ERTs' though not just at night. All we could do was brace ourselves, but it was totally worth it .

I've never noticed that happening, but then again, there may have been supervisors watching them a little closer than on a normal operating day.  I know that yesterday I was getting some non-stapled rides on it (not too much room, but a little room to move)... everyone is right, it is completely awesome right now. Best it's ever run since it opened. Ride has worn in completely perfectly in my opinion.  Sincerely, R.C.
Jhcbiinoc
I still can't get over how awesome the night ERT was.....that coaster was out of control in a very good way! Another thing I am really impressed with is just to overall ride design; while it is shorter than many wood coasters, it seems like just enough to pack the punch it's supposed to. I thought the way they synchronized the dispatches where the train returning to the station is crossed over by the one going up the lift hill was a great touch as well. Â Please don't consider this blasphemy, but I would not be unhappy if Knott's decided to replace Ghostrider with a wild GCI like this.....while Ghostrider is undoubtedly a great coaster, lack of proper maintenance has really diminished and created a detriment to the ride experience. Here's hoping SFMM maintains Terminator with care to keep it running this good for many years to come!
metrock
There was one ride operator who was pushing down a bit hard on my lapbar, making one of my rides a tad uncomfortable. Though, I don't think anyone was trying to staple people. They were all working quite fast wen checking. Some like to push, some like to pull. I just avoided the side the op was working. Didn't have a problem with anyone else.
Mechanic
Terminator is definitely a great addition to the park. One of my favorite parts of the ride is in the first tunnel where the radius of the curve changes in such a way that it gives the sensation of the train "fish-tailing". There's another example of that later in the ride as well, but the effect is much more noticeable in the first tunnel. Â The theming is exceptional for Six Flags, but even with no theming at all this ride would still hold its own, and then some. I still almost can't believe how quickly last Sunday went by and how fun it was despite it being brutally hot. I really do hope we can fit another trip to the mountain into our schedule before summer is over.
WFChris
Regarding the restraints, I do recall being stapled a few times. However, the ride seemed to do a good job of doing that on its own anyway, so I really didn't care!!! Â Chris.
SuperShawn
I've never felt stapled while riding terminator. But I have been jabbed a lot when the restraints are being checked by the ops. I wish more of the ops would learn to pull when checking the restraints. Â The part that got me at night was always the small dip before going up into the first tunnel, and every time I was still a bit blinded from the on ride photo flash. It made for a great surprise each ride.
metrock
I wish more of the ops would learn to pull when checking the restraints. Â Yeah, you would think it would be important to check and make sure the restraint is locked. If you only push down, you're not fully "checking" the restraints. In a perfect world, they should be lightly pushing down to make sure there isn't a big gap and then pull up hard to make sure it is locked. The Bebes
The Bebes were stapled our first few ride (before Termination Day) and learned to lean our weight up into the restraints, so when they push down, it doesn't click to the very last possible notch. Â ^^SuperShawn, I got blinded too, and it's cool because you just start to regain your vision as you hit the first tunnel! Â -Mr. Bebe

Jhcbiinoc
To me, the best part about the night rides other than the overall out of control feeling (which still had a sense of smoothness to it IMHO) was how you would come out of the turn, get temporarily blinded by the fire effect and hit the first tunnel a bit disoriented. I still cannot decide whether my favorite part of the coaster is the unique first drop (I like the way it comes down the small drop and turn just after the lift and then picks up speed before hitting the main drop) or that heavily banked turn in between the first tunnel and the station fly through. All of it is good but those two parts really stood out to me. Â I can understand why it is that GCI sells so many coasters, they really seem to know how to pace their rides. They also seem to understand that when you're building a wooden coaster, layout matters the most, more than trying to go taller or break records. I think that with wooden coasters, once you start to go over 100-125 feet in height, there is a possibility that the ride can get rough as a result. Â (That being said, I would like to try out El Toro at Great Adventure someday, as from all I have heard, they managed to build an extreme wooden coaster that still provides a comparatively smooth ride.)
