jedimaster1227 Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 New additions like these, while small for other parks, are big for a place like Conneaut, and a positive sign that they continue to invest in the long term success of the place. I'm curious to see what comes next!
Michael S Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 This was Coasterbash last night in Pittsburgh, pa. Announcement of the Ferris wheel coming into the park this season. Also mentioned a kiddie Ferris wheel being installed in Kiddieland. New merchandise will be in the Gift Shop for sale. A new Marina is going to be available. Not sure on pricing. Call 814 382 5115 for more info. 2019 is going to be a great year. The park is adding more to offer guest. And also A big announcement will be in the spring sometime. The park is improving each year and keeps getting brighter for the lake as it keeps making progress. If you never Been to Conneaut lake park come out and visit an Americana landmark. One hundred twenty seven years old this season.
djcoastermark Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 ^ The best accidental theming of any park in the world. The park has excelled, no where else will you find this level of theming. ( BTW, I did enjoy the park, scars and all, and will go back)
ytterbiumanalyst Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 ^ The funny thing is this is very true. I want very badly for them to do well, even though I spent a grand total of like an hour there. I would gladly buy their $10 all day wristband again.
grsupercity Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 I really regret not stopping here when we did a Waldameer Kennywood trip
Canobie Coaster Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 I tried going there a few years ago but they were closed due to weather. Then again, I think any reasonable park would have been closed for weather on that day but Waldameer still opened in a monsoon.
djcoastermark Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 If you are a budget conscious person, ( read, really really super super cheap skate) there is always 2nd Sundays. Wristbands are half price. A whopping 5 bucks ! Even at full price, 10 bucks, it is a must go to place if you're nearby. It will be an unforgettable experience, trust me.
Canobie Coaster Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Aren't the $5 days crazy busy? I'd rather pay double for a visit where I can ride things much more easily.
Taylor Finn Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 In a backwards kind of way, I enjoyed going during the park after dark event in 2017. It was nice to see the park fairly crowded. But yeah, some of the pictures from the $5 days showed actual lines for rides. And Blue Streak’s capacity is.. questionable, obviously.
ytterbiumanalyst Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Yeah, just go when it fits your schedule. Give them $10 for a wristband and buy something in the gift shop too. They actually have some pretty cool souvenirs. This is one place where for sure your money isn't just going to line someone's pocket. They're investing back in the park as best as they can, and every little bit helps. Then go to Waldemeer. It's a better park an hour away.
operative_me Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 The water park, while small is decent for $10. The waterslides are the good old school kind and the lazy river has a surprisingly strong current. The water was clean too, unlike a few years ago when they just put lake water in and said have fun.
pryonisys Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Is the tunnel actually going to be fully covered now! I'm glad to see them giving this ride some TLC and I look forward to making it out there this summer for a few rides.
djcoastermark Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Impressive. That tunnel looks very professional and fancy for Conneaut. Nice to see things are looking up for the park. I'll have to make a stop there this summer.
grsupercity Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 I really regret not stopping at this park when we did Waldameer and Kennywood last year
Canobie Coaster Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 I really regret not stopping at this park when we did Waldameer and Kennywood last year I tried two years ago but a day of heavy rain kept them closed and basically every park in the region...except Waldameer because they're awesome. I think I was one of like 10 people in the park all day and they apologized for closing early at 8 pm. This is definitely on my radar when I make it out for Steel Curtain.
ytterbiumanalyst Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 Oh that looks great! Yeah, everyone going to Pittsburgh this year should be stopping by this place. It's $10 and about an hour. Completely worth it. Buy a hat in the gift shop. They turn it into Tilt a Whirl paint jobs.
Michael S Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Productive weekend working on the Bug. The foundations were pressure washed, the area under the deck was cleaned, the center was painted, and the green and yellow sweeps were painted.
PennStater Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Everything is looking great!! I can't wait to visit this weekend. How's trackwork on Blue Streak coming along?
Michael S Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 This season's retracking was completed about a month ago. I believe all the track now is 2010 or newer from the top of the lift to the end of the turnaround.
