For me, neither of the versions of the video lagged or stalled at all. They both played perfectly. And both loaded at roughly the same speed.

 

I also didn't notice much of a difference in quality, but I'm rubbish at that anyway, I'm the guy who stands in a shop looking at a HD TV going "I just don't see the difference, damn it!".

The large video looked clearer, not significantly, but I did notice a difference.

 

The large one lagged a couple of times and the small one only once. The small one loaded much quicker on my computer.

The large video stalled on 9, 18, 26 and 30 seconds, and keeps stalling about every 8 seconds.

The small video kept stalling at roughly the same times.

The visual quality of both videos were pretty much equal.

They both played perfectly for me. The larger one certainly looked better, but the smaller still looked really clean to me.

I think the larger file has a better picture.

 

As far as loading and streaming goes all went well for me, no problems with that.

 

Edit: I didn't notice you had that website link to test my internet speed, but my city isn't on there so i'm guessing it wouldn't be very accurate.

Streaming - Did you have any problems streaming either version of video? Did it lag? Did it stall?

 

Both of the videos stalled a lot, and they stalled about the same.

 

Visual Quality - Did you notice a significant difference between the two versions?

 

I couldn't tell hardly any difference in quality between the two.

Robb - I noticed very little difference between the 2 videos. The larger appeared a bit clearer, but I thought they were both pretty good. I noticed a bit of stuttering when I played the large file full screen, but only at the beginning and it was very slight. Overall - no complaints!

Ok, I have just made a change to the player that I think will help the lag. All videos should now pre-buffer 10 seconds of the video (start time will vary on your connection speed) but in theory all videos should now buffer at least 10 seconds aheaad of your player.

 

Can you all check to see if this is true?

The 10 second buffer showed on both files, but didn't help much. Both of the files stopped and tried to reload near the top of the lift, and I had to just keep restarting the video.

 

The large file was alos a little laggy throughout the video, but the small wasn't.

Please let me know if this one lags for anyone. For me, I was able to play the entire video without it stopping once where the other large version stalled at least 3 times.

For those of you having lag problems - do you have lag problems on other sites that stream videos? YouTube, MySpace, YouPorn, etc?

The "pre-buffer" (which took longer than 10 seconds for me) helped a lot. Both versions ran quite well (with only a momentary "stall"). At about 1:10 in the smaller version, the audio seemed to get ahead of the video (which skipped a bit to catch up--but this could have more to do with my old, piece-of-crap cpmputer than the player).

I had no problem with ether video. The second one did look better. At least to me nether video had amazing quality. I would say the first one was decent and the second one was good.

 

Then again my mac has a really good quality monitor and working with video and graphics have made me picky.

Both videos ran smoothly for me with the larger version showing a little more clarity (but the small version wasn't too far behind). I had no lag for either video, so that wasn't a problem either.

 

Here are my computer speedtest stats:

Download Speed: 3140 kbps (392.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 362 kbps (45.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

The newer video stalled less times, although the stoppages were much longer. By the time it got to 1:39, it had stopped 4 times to load up the next bits.

 

Also, for other streaming sites like Youtube, I use SpeedBit Video Accelerator, which make the videos load in no time at all.

No issues on either video. Neither stalled or lagged.

 

The difference in quality was not significant, but the larger file looked slightly better.

 

Same here, no problems loading or playing either, but slightly better visual quality on larger file. I watched the small file with headphones and heard excellent sound quality, like KidTum hooting like a monkey while the train is coming around to the station!

 

My favorite part of both versions was around 2:44.

No problems with either video, actually they were fully loaded about halfway through each vid. Both looked great!!!

Absolutely no problem loading any of the videos. I do have a few issues though, for one, the largest file (on the page 13) loaded a lot faster then the other two, not that I'm complaining, it's just weird.

 

Another thing is all three play terrible on fullscreen while I have no issues with them on the normal player. They all play very choppy on fullscreen. I also don't have any problems with any of the other flash player sites.

I can definitely see the difference in the two videos. The larger one is infinitely clearer. There is distinct pixilation in the track as well as the background (sky, clouds, water)while the coaster is passing (over, beneath) them in the smaller version. I had no problem with lag or delay in any of the three I watched.
