coolhandluke Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 9. Dodonpa (I don't know what it is, but I like it.) I read about its name on RCDB a while ago. It's percussion's musical notes, like "do, re, mi" for drums. Apparently it is also chanted in the station and/or queue line of the ride.

reissecup Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 9. Dodonpa (I don't know what it is, but I like it.) I read about its name on RCDB a while ago. It's percussion's musical notes, like "do, re, mi" for drums. Apparently it is also chanted in the station and/or queue line of the ride. it's because there's a drum sound played in the queue and it sounds like that (at least from what I heard)
supertrooper Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 I don't think anything will ever surpass Hellevator.
jzoole Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 There are so many that I like, and I agree with the general sentiment that Busch parks give their coasters awesome names. I will say thought that I've always been a fan of clever names, especially if they are a play on words. Ie: Rock'n'Rollercoaster Mr. Twister Steel Eel California Screamin' Psyclone Shivering Timbers
DarienLaker Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 (edited) Like 10. Goliath (Six Flags parks) (sure, Six Flags uses the Heck out of this name, but I still like it!) 9. DanM64 Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 ^^^This. Hellevator is the greatest name for a drop tower by far.

Woodie Warrior Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) My top two are Raging Bull and Manta. I like Raging Bull because it sounds like a phrase you'd say in place of a bad word, such as "Who in the raging bull took my burger?!" I like Manta because it suits the ride perfectly. And the themeing is top notch. Edited December 9, 2013 by Woodie Warrior
djboss302 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Raptor is my favorite ride name because it sounds so awesome.
Tropical7 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Here are just a few in no explicit order. Goliath Expedition Everest Flight of Fear Gwazi
