DJeXeL Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 ^Correct. Magnetic braking does not have the means to physically stop a ride vehicle. At some point a device will need to physically make contact with the ride vehicles to bring them to a complete stop. IE: Drive tire, brake caliper, pinch wheels.
BDG Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 The first (indoor) track pieces have arrived: As well as the first outdoor supports: source: Hansa-Park
gerstlaueringvar Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Please release the layout during IAAPA! I can't wait anymore!
lewis97 Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Please release the layout during IAAPA! I can't wait anymore! Awkward... It was released back in September on Hapa Forum... (I added the enlarged section)
KarlaKoaster Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 If the chain snaps, the train will slowly get down with the fin magnets. Sorry, I misunderstood you - when you said 'anti-rollback' I thought you meant ANY anti-rollback device (including the anti-rollback magnets)
gerstlaueringvar Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Please release the layout during IAAPA! I can't wait anymore! Awkward... It was released back in September on Hapa Forum... (I added the enlarged section) That's a fan made one, I posted it on this thread before.
rcjp Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Some lift pieces. Looks like it really is going to use magnetic anti-rollbacks. Source.
gerstlaueringvar Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 These photos were posted on Facebook.
flaffstar99 Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 There are already new supports in the tower ^^ Source Kärnan Blog
gerstlaueringvar Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 That's a seriously impressive structure! Looks like it's an underground space shuttle launch pad.
_koppen Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 This and Cannibal are my favorite projects for 2015, and I still can't pick a favorite!
gerstlaueringvar Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Any news on this project lately? Has the layout been announced yet?
KingRCT3 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 No layout annoucement yet, but a new recap video of the lift's supports being installed:
rcjp Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Apparently some first drop supports have been installed. Source.
Adervus Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Nothing about the layout, but the maximum speed of Kaernan has been revelead. It's going to be 127 km/h (79 mp/h). So it's going to be the second fastest roller coaster in Germany. The fastest is Silver Star at Europa-Park. Source
Nrthwnd Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 That single tower looks so ominous, in any photo I have seen.
jedimaster1227 Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 That lift tower is simply huge! I'm very curious to see what kind of show element goes on inside as rides are lifted to the top.
BDG Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 New official photos: http://www.xn--krnan-gra.de/de/baublog/bilder/
K1ngdaKa88 Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 It looks cool and I can't wait to see it finished and operating!
