coastb2 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I am currently rehauling my old Sphinx jet coaster. It showed how poor my track straightening skills were back then. Sphinx-090618140735000.bmp Starting from the station again with better trackwork.
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Interesting start to the ride. Cant quite figure out how the track moves at the top yet though, lol. Â Looks cool though, cant wait to see more. Â Thanks. Though I don't get what you mean. Do you mean the banking at the top of the lift hill? If so, it's just like a bit of track that twists one way then the other before the drop. Â See pic below: Â That is exactly what I was talking about, lol. Is the lift hill launched?
rollerboy Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 ^ Yeah it is. Just like Maverick's. I haven't finished a project for ages so let's hope that I get this one done.
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Seeing as you have previewed it to all of us, I hope you do too. Its a real bummer when someone announces a project and then it doesn't get finished or a download is never put up. Even a download of the unfinished track would be better than no download at all, lol. Cant wait to see more!
BelgianGuy Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Have some more eyecandy for you guys, this is supposed to look like an entrance area for a new park I'm just messing around with to try some new stuff and architecture  Enjoy
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I like it, it looks really nice. Its looks, to me anyway, they way a real park entrance would look.
CP_RULES Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Rollerboy, your shaping at the top of the lift looks really odd, maybe something parabolic or with a constant radius would work better?
DBru Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 Looks great, BelgianGuy! Great mix of old and new styles.
jarmor Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 More progress shots of my wario/mario cart themed coaster. I dont know much about wario but im thinking you are test subjects on warios ride but he really doesnt want you to survive in first place so he "picks up the pace" so to speak as the course goes thru. Once I research him and get more info I will have a clearer theme. But for nnow here are some pictures... An overview... Whiplash...and he has no insurance coverage lol Heres where he will try to "eject" you from the car...
DBru Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 Looks great! Â How did you get those 'connectors' between the track and supports?
PaulMartz37 Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Your ride is looks amazing! I love the ejector seat element! It would be totally awesome to see Wario throw a banana peel like in Mario Cart  Many kudos for the theme
Airtime&Gravity Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Well I've finally reinstalled the game after I had to uninstall a few months ago because a critical file was corrupted. Â I'll post a topic when I get more work on the main park underway, but the park will consist of: Â - amusement park -camp ground -hotel/casino -small hotel -golf course -mixed use (commercial/residential) area SCR3.BMP Town homes in what will be a mixed use, commercial/residential, area SCR1.BMP The main hotel/casino
coasterfreak101 Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 WIP: the world's longest roller coaster. (It's currently at about 7,000 feet. I actually didn't start out with any goals other than to create a kickarse hyper and to get better at custom supporting, but it's a pretty darn long ride!) SCR1.BMP My favorite part of the ride support-wise, with the train in my favorite part ride-wise in the window (just to the left of the screen).
BelgianGuy Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Well I've been messing around with RCT2 a lot lately and I think its turning out quite nice. I'm considering making another solo park out of it wich schould even top BGSA, currently I'm in the works with a eurofighter and this is the first part of the coaster  NOTE: this is still unfinished
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Awesome job Jarmor! The new element is interesting looking. How are the G's going through it?
Thelegendarymatthew Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 You RCT2 Guys, looking good. Â Airtime&Gravity - wacky worlds . Oh wells it looks decent, seems like a park made for the fun of it. coasterfreak101 Diamondback looking. BelgianGuy - *here it comes* OMG, WOW, AMAZING Â -Matthew K.
BelgianGuy Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Hope you like this one, Just got the supports finished, layout works fine with excellent and realistic pacing and the foliage is coming toghether quite well, I'm trying not to cram it up with a bunch of trees and I like it alittle more minimalistic in the aspect of foliage, Â NOTE: this will turn into a full blown park once get a decent name for the park and the rides so anyone with any suggestions feel free to tell me
dr.gumbo Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 ^ Crashed trains? lol  Looks good (still), when you think it'll be finished?
jarmor Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 lol yep! Â well...the track work is being worked as I get a new idea lol. I want a themed station (as you see the gray beams) but I dont know crap about 3ds. the thrn before the launch, im gonna try to use less tracks because its messing with the blocking so I need it to get to the block quicker than it is now. Â updated with a progress video... [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=wario_0vmc[/coastertube]
PaulMartz37 Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 It all felt a lil slow but then I realized there's a launch right after @.@ Awesome way to make the launch feel INTENSE
