netdvn
I saw a video of this coaster on the S&S main website and it looks incredible.
SharkTums
A few pics are now up on rcdb.comI hope they'll have it finished within 2 months. Tranan Well, we have ERT on it, so I guess the park feels pretty confident that it will open! (I'm still a bit unsure myself though...silly prototypes!) Stealth Assassin
Yeah i'm really hoping that this is going to be open, they haven't got much time and its a prototype, lets hope they don't have any problems.
Olov
As with all new rides, they must have a construction blog Here's Tranan's blog (in swedish) where there will be updates on the state of construction and development. Construction blog
Olov
A new picture is up on rcdb which gives a nice comparison opportunity with the concept renderings. IRL It's going up in a nice pace so I'm begginning to feel pretty confident it'll be up and running in june (if the testing goes well). coaster_dude2002
Thanks for the update Olov! I'm really excited for this, and keeping my fingers crossed it will be up and running for us in June. They are certainly building this at a fast past.
Loefet
^ I think that the opening day for the ride (and the park for that matter) is on the 30:th of may, so they still have over a month to complete it, and it shouldn't be too hard by the look of it. It looks so much more massive than I believed it to be, I like it.
thrillerman1
Thanks Olov...keeping my fingers crossed too. RCDB lists the opening date as May 30. Miracles do happen.
cfc
I'm not holding my breath for this one (although keeping my fingers crossed is not out of the question). It looks like it could be a great family coaster if it works.
eBen
I proberbly shouldnt but my hopes are way up for the ride as a whole, and getting to go on it myself when we get there. Especially given construction is on the go and they have already knocked up a prototype On a side note it sounds like Robb has a lot to add to that thread! Loefet
A picture of a model of the cars have been released. The seat pods will hang between the wings and the tail plane. The themeing will be done in Sweden, since it's easier and cheaper that way. From: http://www.sommarland.se/trananblog/?p=
FirstDropJ
There are a couple of photos that show the progress of the cars...just follow the link. http://www.sommarland.se/trananblog/?p=
Loefet
Giant update today: The themeing of the cars is underway, the track is now done and work is underway to complete the station, controls and surroundings. And at the moment at least then they are on schedule to have the ride done for the opening of Skara Sommarland. Looks really ace!! Can't wait until I get to ride it, looks really open. Completed track. Station is under way. These and more pictures are available at: http://www.sommarland.se/trananblog/?p=152 http://www.sommarland.se/trananblog/?p=160 http://www.sommarland.se/trananblog/?p=
SharkTums
Wow, so it's looking more and more like we will get to ride it! Has a height restriction been announced yet?
thrillerman1
It might be time to call the Guinness Book people for what looks like the world's fastest erection lol. Seriously I'm amazed at how fast this is being built!

Loefet
^^^^ By the reply I got from the "Crane" then it's on track for completion so that it will be ready when the park opens on the 30:th this month, so unless some giant problem occurs then it should be running when you go there, we will try and head up there in early June and make a report of the ride. I have asked them about the height restriction because of my 4 year old nephew (that will be joining us when we meet you), and the reply I got was that S&S recommend a limit of 110 cm (43.3"), but when they are testing it it may get another limit for safety reasons... So it looks like Kristen and our nephew (unless he grow 2 inches since I last met him a couple of weeks ago) won't be allowed to ride ^^^ Yeah it just "flew" up ^^ ROFL!! netdvn
The train looks absolutely incredible, however knowing S&S and their prototypes, I don't really see this as the most reliable coaster in the world. The coaster also went up pretty fast. It looks like Terminator might have some competition for the fastest construction.
Loefet
About S&S Prototypes... How reliable have Steel Hawg been? I haven't heard anything about it since it opened.
_Joel_
I live about an hour's drive from Skara Sommarland. When you quit school here in this region, usually held a closing party. I hope I can go on the June 12. Special this year when Tranan is new!
paintballer
^ Lemme Translate: When you graduate from school (guessing because I wouldn't be celebrating for dropping out) they have a party at the park.
