ArizonaGuy Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 ^^ Yup I agree. Great attention to detail from the design team. Anyone seen anymore testing this past week(end)????
BigBomer Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 ^^Yup I agree. Great attention to detail from the design team. Anyone seen anymore testing this past week(end)???? On Friday the train was sitting in the station with dummies but they were working on the track.
SFFTfan Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 the same with last Saturday 3/23 and they were welding on the 2nd over bank.
SFFTfan Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 IRAt was testing this afternoon. I was on my way home on 1604 and looked over in time to see the train crest the lift hill.
Meangreen16 Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 IRAt was testing this afternoon. I was on my way home on 1604 and looked over in time to see the train crest the lift hill. YEA! Great news! Did u happen to see if it was going at a more realistic speed up the lift?
TyRush Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Oh how i love that potentially insane airtime on the last hill into the quarry
vacoaster09 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 YES! Full of WIN! I will make my first trip to this park and ride this monster!!!!
rcjp Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 That looks awesome! I love how those airtime hills seem to provide some serious negative Gs.
B&MIntaminGCI Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 That hill from the quarry to the tunnel is going to be like El Toro's crossover hill, if not better This ride looks insane, and those over banks on the quarry look awesome.
hippidude Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I love how even with the test dummies, they still look like they are being pushed out of their seat. I'm so excited for this ride!
Tmcdllr Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Looked like it slowed after it came out of the quarry.
Wes Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 The lift slowing kinda sucks but it's already hauling ass.
Ccron10 Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I'm calling back seat on this one! I'm kind of content with what's being shown here as far as the lift slowing down once the train is at the top. It already looks like it delivers a kick-a$$ ride, but if the train went over the top at a constant speed, it does make me wonder if it could make it too intense (especially on the cliff dive).
ArizonaGuy Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Holy mother of crackwhores!!! Experiencing that first drop from the back seat is going to be freakin intense as heck!!! Usually I've seen coasters with some hang time before the chain releases but there's not going to be any hang time for anyone sitting from about the 4th row back so it's going to be a full force first drop. Link goes straight to 2:37 where the train is headed up the lift hill at normal speed. This thing is going to epic!
Randomman295 Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I didn't even think it was possible, but the double-up on iRat looks even more insane than the one on nTag. I really think RMC has done it again.
TyRush Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Recreating Marvelous Coasters Pretty please redo or build a woody on the east coast!
vacoaster09 Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I didn't even think it was possible, but the double-up on iRat looks even more insane than the one on nTag.I really think RMC has done it again. Probably because the drop is higher and the element is taken with greater speed...
rcjp Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 The lift slowing kinda sucks but it's already hauling A$$. Yeah, I hope this is just part of the testing (or maybe it isn't). Anyway, it does look like it will kick some serious ass.
ernierocker Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I don't think it is out of the ordinary for them to test coasters at varying lift hill speeds. I'd guess that it will operate at a faster speed when it opens.
boardwalkbullet91507 Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I didn't even think it was possible, but the double-up on iRat looks even more insane than the one on nTag.I really think RMC has done it again. Probably because the drop is higher and the element is taken with greater speed... I also noticed it appeared the double up on NTAG is more gradual than on IRAT; IRAT's looks a tad sharper. I could be completely wrong, though. I haven't seen IRAT in person yet.
Aceattack52 Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I don't think it is out of the ordinary for them to test coasters at varying lift hill speeds. I'd guess that it will operate at a faster speed when it opens. It probably is a good idea to test at different other than operational speed. I would have never thought to do that.
SFFTfan Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 It's probably the normal speed and then slows at the top for the suspense factor and you get to look down the 81 degree drop longer.
