Six Flags Fiesta Texas (SFFT) Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

I'm figuring somewhere left of the wave pool.

Looks like it'll be a nice little addition according to Ducky's post of the advertisement with the extra lagoon with smaller fun slides for smaller kids and bar. The Cabana Village is going to be a nice little touch as well. I guess they're trying to keep up with Aquatica.

So I have been doing some research and there is a lot of talk for Fiesta Texas to get a new coaster in 2015. I found Jeffrey Siebert posted this on his twitter as well. Makes me very curious. I guess we can all assume that wooden coaster could be it. Any other early observations/guesses?

^And Schlitterbahn for that matter, though it's next to impossible to beat Schlitterbahn.

I have never been to a better water park in the USA better than Schlitterbahn.

I do not think these new slides are the "worlds most existing". Clearly they did not know what Kansas City is getting this year.

I pretty sure is just meaning to say he can't wait to be able to go to the event next year to announce the new ride since this year he couldn't. I do not believe he was trying to hint at anything big. You guys just got iRat

It could be the BoardWalk woodie that's been rumored with the GCI video and stuff. I could see it happening but then again it said "see everyone in 2015 to share our Sixtastic news". If announcements are made a year in advance, then maybe he's talking about news for 2016. I guess we're just gonna have to wait and see.

I agree with this assessment, I see no clues or hints.

If a new coaster is coming to this park in the coming years, the earliest it will be will be 2016. I can think of a bunch of other Six Flags parks that should receive a new coaster first. (cough cough the great escape)

Yeh but how many times has Six Flags followed that "rule"?

If that be the case, SFStL would have gotten a new coaster 3 years ago.

I have a question. During the week of Spring Break, SFOT is a nightmare. I mean, don't waste your time coming unless you just enjoy standing around all day surrounded by a bajillion people. My husband goes down there to San Antonio for work a lot, and if he does during Spring Break we were considering meeting him down there and hitting SFFT.

Is it as flipping crowded an crazy as SFOT during Spring Break, or is it possible to squeeze in more than one ride in a visit? My boys are dying to ride the Iron Rattler. We went down twice last summer. Once with the kids and once without. It was closed during the visit with the kids. They were really disappointed. We've been promising to take them back.

Oh geez. I guess we'll pass. It's not worth a 5 hour drive to stand all day and put up with crowds. And we don't have the money to plunk down on flash passes right now. Guess they'll just have to wait till summer when it's open daily. We tried to come up during HIP, but my husband had an unexpected medical emergency that nearly killed him, so we were stuck like chuck during the week of Christmas. He's only barely gone back to work this afternoon. It stunk, as that was part of our Christmas surprise for the kids. We were going to surprise them with a trip down to ride IRAT. We're just glad he's alive. There'll be other chances to ride it. Thanks for the heads up!

I went on a crowded day last season and iRat was a 45 minute wait. SFFT unlike SFOT put their best employees on iRat. They really do a great job of moving the line. I'm sure the park will overall be busy but if you should still be able to ride iRat since they really move the line quick. Also don't forget if you use Gold Pass to get in early and just haul to iRat.

Ohhh, I didn't even think about the Gold Pass early entry thing. We have Gold Passes. We've only used them once, and they let us in all of 15 minutes early. How early to they let you in over there?
