cal1br3tto Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 ^Yeah, I think it has a lot more theming than your stereotypical chain park, but a lot less theming than a "theme park." It is very pleasant and attractive in parts...especially for a Six Flags.
beatle11 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 It's one of the nicest looking parks in the chain for sure. It's just such a unique setting.

You also have to remember that it was acquired before the Premier buyout in 98 when they were legitimate Six Flags parks and not SFINO parks.
Woodie Warrior Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I've seen lots of other pictures and I'm always shocked as to the amount of theming in the park (for a Six Flags park at least). Plus the rock quarry is beautiful.
ArizonaGuy Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Here are some pics from last years HiP. Not the greatest since they were taken with my iPhone but needless to say you get an idea of what the park looks like during HiP.
GigaG Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Just a little question, what restraints are worse on larger people - the NTAG/iRat restraints with seatbelts and new safety rules or El Toro's restraints?
Woodie Warrior Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 After seeing Silver Dollar City's Christmas event, SFFT looks good lit up but SDC's light display is just so much more impressive. But I'm not complaining, considering most parks don't put ANY effort into having a Christmas festival.
ArizonaGuy Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I have noticed j. The past several years SFFT has scaled back a bit on the lights. 2008 was awesome compared to what it was in 2012. Anyone got 2013 pics to share?
ArizonaGuy Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Does SFFT have a Dark Ride? Yes, it has a Scooby Doo Ghostblasters dark ride over on the BoardWalk.
Rollercoaster Rider Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 They must sell great Merchandise cause I haven't heard anything of that ride getting re-themed.
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 This poster: ^^Where did that come from? Wants to know what you meant by this: They must sell great Merchandise cause I haven't heard anything of that ride getting re-themed. The comment seemd unrelated to ANYTHING anyone was talking about.
Rollercoaster Rider Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Both Six Flags St. Louis and Six Flags Fiesta Texas have Scooby Doo themed interactive Dark Rides yet SFStL is rumored to get re-themed while as the SFFT one has not gotten rumors about their Scooby Doo getting re-themed.

Don't tell me that Six Flags dumped Scooby-Doo is going to retheme the Scooby-Doo ride to something like "Boo Blasters" or something along the lines!
Ducky dude Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Nothing will happen to Scooby-doo! But actually, they closed the merchandise shop.

Don't tell me that Six Flags dumped Scooby-Doo is going to retheme the Scooby-Doo ride to something like "Boo Blasters" or something along the lines! The rumor for SFStL is a Justice League Theme. One reason being is because of its placement in the DC Comics area.
Rollercoaster Rider Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Nothing will happen to Scooby-doo! But actually, they closed the merchandise shop. Maybe they could re-theme it into another Monster Mansion?
Vonni Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 ^ That's a good idea, but I don't expect it. I'm honestly surprised SFOG have not rethemed away from Monster Mansion.
GwaziBSRider1 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 ^ Monster Mansion is an amazing dark ride. I couldn't see SFOG retheming it.
Ducky dude Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I highly doubt Scooby will get a re-theme. Everyone seems to like it as is. On the other hand, does anyone know when Bahama Blaster construction will start?

Vonni Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 I'm really curious about that GCI that was designed for SFFT. Is it still a future project? Did plans fall through? Was it over turned for the renovation for The Rattler? Its just a very odd situation to me.... I know a lot of Rides and Attractions are planned and discussed for all Parks that never come to fruition, but for GCI to complete an animated rendering, and post it for everyone to see, that just doesn't happen for a preliminary process. I don't know, I may be breathing too much into this. I just cant help but be curious about it.
