Is there still decent airtime on the sections that were redone this year? I understand it wont be as strong if its still there.

There's a trim break coming out of the first turn which kills the airtime on the hill going through the lift. Some air after helix. Though there never was much air to begin with on TW once Cedar Fair got hold of the ride.

There was never much air on Timber Wolf? Once the brakes were added in August of 1995, the air was reduced, some days more than others. But Timber Wolf most certainly did have airtime and a lot of it and that is precisely why the ride was so highly regarded in its early life. Most of of the airtime has been removed on the "re-engineered" sections that have been done over the last year. The brakes at the top of the second hill, remove ANY airtime from the new stretch of track done this season, if there is any there to be had. The second drop doesn't even feel like a drop, at least with the brakes on.

BTW, the Bob's Turn is the turn through the lift and not the turn before the second drop.

Airtime aside, the average guest will love the new Timber Wolf, especially once the remainder of the ride is re-tracked. It's very smooth and I heard people laughing last night riding it and really didn't hear any complaints of roughness, compared to previous seasons. For many, it is a new Timber Wolf to be enjoyed and for some, the real Timber Wolf is lost to history and will be missed.

A Bobs turn is an unbanked turn, so no that would not be the turn through the lift hill. Correct terminology aside, the TimberWolf has not really had any airtime since Cedar Fair took over the park and trimmed the crap out of the coaster.

This is the location of the Bobs turn. It is the lower of the two turns on this side of the course

It was a very good opening day for the park of you ask me. Other than prowler only having one train functional and Timberwolf throwing fits with its restraints all day, everything was flawless! Mamba looks beautiful now. They really did paint a lot on it. One thing I would like to mention were operations. There was vey little stacking on the coasters other than Timberwolf. When rides did stack, it was for a very short time. I really interested to see how they do later in the season.

The part of Timber Wolf nicknamed the "Bobs Turn" IS the turn through the lift. People were calling it that from very early in the ride's life.

Here is a comment by someone else about Timber Wolf posted yesterday (on facebook) that even refers to it:

This season, the second drop, third (Bobs) hill, and fourth hill have been reprofiled.

And the description of Timber Wolf on the unofficial WOF site refers to the turn through the lift as the Bobs Turn.

From what I saw, some of the bunny hops, the final brake run, station to the lift, and the lower part of the helix. It looks really good.

I had a really fun time on the WoodStock Gliders too. I was able to snap it very easy, probably due to the higher winds. You can check it out here

I was wondering if it was possible. Is it bad for me to be a coaster enthusiast and not know the technique to snap flyers? How do you do that really?

For me, I pretty much learned how to do it yesterday. It's really not that hard.

Same here. Yesterday was the first time I had ever snapped a flyer, and I managed to do it 3 times in a single cycle. WoF does not have a rule against snapping. They do have a rule against sudden or erratic movement on the flyers, but with high winds yesterday, you didn't have to move it very suddenly at all for it to snap. My son and I rode it together, and he loved it when it snapped. Profuse giggling each time.

Did anyone else see the object in the back of the Oceans of Fun parking lot? I couldn't get any pictures, but it almost looked like a purple ufo. I have no clue what it could go to.

I saw that and some new red objects in the storage lot by prowler. Wonder if the red objects could be pieces for the condor or troika?

It's the top of Linus Launcher. I guess they just haven't put it on yet.

Notice the object that Snoopy is sitting on.

Worlds of Fun Dot Org has shared this interesting photo of a timeline that shows what additions the park has had overtime and in the center says "whats new for 2017?" and WOF We Own Fun. Could this be a teaser for the two new flats or something bigger?

I really hope for something bigger. They wouldn't start teasing in April for 2 flats, would they?
