I definitely felt it! At first it just sounded like a truck was driving down the street...Then the rumbling noise turning into the house actually shaking. I grabbed the puppy and ran out the front door! Lol. It freaked me out cause it just kept getting worse and I had no idea how bad it was going to get...

Nothing even fell over, but it shook a lot!

I felt it pretty good. It was so strange because I swear it started, slowed down and then then whole building slammed really hard and then it shook a while longer. Scary stuff!!!! I hope everyone's ok!!!!

I picked a fine time to make use of a urinal---11:42am PDT...what WAS I thinking...

Anyway, we felt it up here in Ventura County. Rolled a bit, but otherwise...not a biggie compared to some I've been through.

But it was the first one for my boss. She's from Michigan, where the ground doesn't shake much.

Came home from work this afternoon to find this on CNN. I was wondering if you guys (R&E) felt it when they said it was felt, albeit minor, as far away as Vegas. Kinda figured Valencia had a slightly greater chance at that point!

Glad everyone's OK. I remember doing our earthquake unit in geography last year on Halloween, the same day the last "major" quake happened. "What a twist!"

P.S. Personally I'm actually pretty worried for Bill; the Juan de Fuca off of Vancouver's been building for a long time... major subduction + tsunami = potential for greatest Canadian disaster in history.

I actually didn't feel a thing. I didn't even know about until I saw reports about it on CNN.

I was actually near the epicenter! I just came home from vacation at DLR, and we were visiting family that lives in Chino. We didn't feel it in the car, but the family felt it, they were surprised.

I don't know if anyone else felt it, but here in Vegas we felt just a slight shaking. Ever since we have been in Vegas since 1991 I've only felt 4 quakes out here. It was just noticeable because the light in our dining room was swaying just a bit.

I had just gotten out of the shower, stuff started moving around, Elissa started yelling "OH GOD! OH GOD!", stuff shook even more, I threw on a towel, opened the door to Robb yelling "YOU'RE GOING THROUGH AN EARTHQUAKE", closed the door, put on clothes, brushed my teeth, and watched the breaking news for like 3 hours while doing East Coast stuff.

It was a blasty blast.

This is why I'd rather have hurricanes. At least I have at "least" a week to watch and then run for the hills. I've been through one small quake when I lived in West Lake Village as a kid, and that was scary enough. A hurricane, I can drive a few hundred miles and be out of the worst part of it.

After a while you get used to it and become a pro. Yesterdays was fun and actually lasted a good 30 seconds. Enough for me to go couch surfing.

What part of town were you in? I was here at work on the strip and I didn't feel anything.

I was on the far east side. Near Sunrise Mountain. It was just a very very weak movement, but it was noticeable.

I sure felt it! I happened to be at Disneyland that day & I was waiting in line by the front entrance to the Haunted Mansion! They had us leave the line then I found out they stopped all the rides in the park so inspectors could come check them out. They started w/the big rides first. By 4:00 everything was up & running again.

I was at Perilous Plunge when that happened. We were trying to dispatch a boat, but couldn't, were trying to figure out what was going up when I felt the ground shake. I thought it was Riptide and thought nothing of it, but then the shaking got more intense. I looked at my coworkers, then at the structure of Plunge, it was rocking about five feet in each direction! @_@ When I got home dishes were crashed onto the ground. And those people were running away, for some reason it makes me laugh. Yes of course you try to get to safety, but seriously, you have no where to run... D:
