Coaster Palooza
I agree with Robb as well. If you don't like a thread, or person, don't read it. Friends will be your friends no matter what, otherwise they are acquaintances. No, bring back the ducky game!!!

holyblakbelt
Big Mike's TR of Valleyfair is going to be epic! Keep up what you're doing, it is awesome that one person has gone to over 100 theme parks in the span of a year.
Big Mike
Personally, I feel that Big Mike is a PERFECT example of what we promote here at Theme Park Review. He goes out and visits tons of parks and comes here to share his experiences with everyone else. He asks for nothing yet gives a ton. He's got personality and "Big Mike" has certainly become one of the many TPR "characters." Many times when I introduce the site to parks I actually introduce it as a "cast of characters" that love to travel to parks and report back to inform and entertain. Why do you think we do our videos and trip reports in the matter that we do? My personal background is in entertainment and I really do look at TPR as much of an "entertainment piece" as I do an informative website. So bottom line, if someone on TPR has managed to create something that so many people find interesting that it cracks the top 20 of all time read posts, I give that person a *LOT* of credit and even more so, tons of *THANKS!* I can only think of a few people on TPR who have managed this, and I encourage more people to try. BIG MIKE IS EXACTLY WHAT TPR IS ALL ABOUT!!! --Robb "This post comes from the heart!" Alvey Hi Friends!!!! Great news for all the Valuable Big Mike Readers!!! With Robb's blessings, The Big Mike Road Show 2008 has been renewed for another fun and exciting season on Theme Park Review!!! First off, I would like to thank Robb for the words of encouragement, that was very kind and very much appreciated!!! Secondly, I would like to thank all the Valuable Big Mike Readers for all their support and loyalty towards the negative comments that a few people throw our way. Third, The Big Mike Reader of the Year Find the Ducky Contest for a Free Season Pass Round #4 is fast approaching now!! Only 4 more trip reports to go!!!! Now, on to Valleyfair!!! This was a totally unexpected stop on The Heart of America Tour, but it wound up being a great move! Sometimes the GPS system works in mysterious ways For everyone just finding out about The Big Mike Road Show 2008 since it hit both Top 20 standings, here is an overview: Big Mike goes to parks, takes pictures of all the coasters for everyone to see, meets up with any friends that can attend and inserts them into the report, throws in his own brand of humor to the thread, and tries to inform and entertain everyone at the same time. I hope everyone enjoys the trip report! Peace, Big Mike Sticky Nicky checks off Minnesota on The Official Big Mike Road Show T-Shirt! Hope everyone enjoyed! Peace, Big Mike Big Mike's "favorite picture" of the report! Overview. Steel Venom! Lift. The train. Excalibur! Thanks Nick! Corkscrew! Good pop of air. Your typical layout. Mad Mouse! No big deal, there was not an open seat for Big Mike anyway. The kids enjoyed coming out of this house. Well Nick was right this time, no Mild Thing for me. Nick has me pose with the "I'm with Stupid" sign on his shirt for thinking I have ANY chance of getting on this coaster. Uh Oh, a 54 inch max height! Time to break out The Big Mike Charm once again. Mild Thing! Big Mike looks afraid as it looks like they are shoving something in Big Mike's mouth! The lift. Overview. Big Mike's special enterance. Wild Thing! These guys in the front seat figure they can flirt with the girls behind them since they can't get away since they are strapped in. The drop. Hills. Aerial shot. Thanks Nick! The lift! High Roller! Nick brought along his friend and we spent a great deal of time together during the day. They were both VERY COOL! Thanks for riding the ferris wheel with me so I would be able to bring the readers some aerial shots in this report To my surprise and pleasure, Nick (Sticky Nicky) read my LIVE post from the road about the change in plans and visit to Minnesota and traveled far to come say hello! ... and a buffet for dinner! Just in case you were interested in the food options, here is a buffet for lunch... Credit # 701 for Big Mike! A good ride which I enjoyed, especially the ERT part! This coaster flies along. Not the easiest coaster to get pictures of. The lift. Big Mike EXCLUSIVE ERT!!! The train. Renegade! In a Big Mike Road Show FIRST, the security, a guy and gal who liked my shirt and conversation of the tour, let me under the rope drop early and I was allowed to go to the coaster before the public!!! Thanks!!! The park map. The prices. Valleyfair! Some quick adjustments were needed on The Official Big Mike Road Show 2008 T-Shirt! Traveling along on the Road Show, the GPS took the crew into Minnesota, at which point we amended the schedule and added 3 new parks!
printersdevil78
I really do look at TPR as much of an "entertainment piece" as I do an informative website. Wow, that's really something to think about. Before this comment, I never, ever thought about TPR's primary goal as being informative. I mean, obviously it is VERY informative--it was a web search for unbiased information about an event I was considering attending at Walt Disney World that led me to discover the site almost two years ago. But since that magical, magical day, I've always seen it as strictly an entertainment venue (and a free one at that!). Now, in the Big Mike thread of all places, I find out that all this time I thought I was being entertained, I was actually learning. Well screw that! If I wanted infotainment, I'd watch "Sesame Street"!* Now I'm going to have to be extra careful about which threads I read to make sure I don't contract anything "informative."* Jason "Why Won't You Let My Brain Just Laugh?" Purplepills
BIG MIKE ERT! How cool is that? I haven't posted since a long time ago, when you offered us custom photos of bikini babes. Some might say that was all I was interested in, but, thanks for all your trip reports through the year. They are all great and we appreciate the effort put in by you! Good stuff =]
Big Mike
Thanks for the compliments!! You can be sure that you are not alone by a long shot wishing the hot bikini babes ban would be lifted, Big Mike included! Imagine how much higher we would be in the Top 20 if we could still post bikini pictures. LOL Maybe one day. Peace, Big Mike
montezooma
Well you now have the BIG THREE: Coasters, Boobs and controversy. There is no way my thread will be able to compete. Game Over BTW. I can't wait for the 2009 road trip. This is a great thread that is informative and fun to read. I can do without the bikinis...

spaceace12
Well Mike, it looks like your visit to SFSTL was my last visit to a theme park for the year. What started out as a potential year of doubling my coaster count just added 2. Oh well, bring on 2009 and the 2009 BMRS. Hopefully next year, mother nature won't detour any of my plans. Big Mike
Hello Friends!!!!!!!! The Big Mike Road Show 2008 continued through Minnesota with a stop at The Mall of America to visit Nickelodeon Universe!! This would be my 2nd trip to the MOA, collecting 2 existing credits last time, and getting denied because I could not fit on a 3rd. It's rematch time once again!!! Plus, 2 more new credits!! Also, this was the debut and test run for an additional Big Mike Road Show contest in 2009 to join the overwhelmingly popular Find the Ducky Contest! I hope you enjoy!!! Peace, Big Mike Valuable Big Mike Reader "JoJo19799" found the Mikestery prize a few weeks later! Awesome job Jo The test was a success! Details, rules, and prizes to be announced in 2009. Hope you enjoyed! Peace, Big Mike Big Mike announced the mystery (Mikestery) hiding spot earlier in the year and challenged everyone to go find it. The game is going to be called The Mikestery Treasure Hunt Game and we did a sneak preview hiding a specially coded dollar bill under the letter "C" in America. The Mall of America was the initial test area for a future Big Mike Road Show Contest debuting in 2009! That's right ladies and gentlemen, the off season workout sessions paid off! Credit #704 for Big Mike! If this whole train load of kids had no problem fitting on, then Big Mike should have no problems either. Theming! Back at the Barnyard Hayride! Big Mike is back also after getting denied once before! It is time for the rematch.. Let's get it on! A picture with all four coaster tracks in the shot! Big Mike technology. Your as high as the ceiling and can also almost touch the floor. This thing motors through the course. Bonus loop coverage. A loop. Straight down. Tippy top. The lift has you staring at the sky through the glass roof! A car. Reverse opposite view. Overview! Great addition to the park. Rock Bottom Plunge! Credit #703 for Big Mike! Big Mike had to step on home plate after scoring a new credit. Exclusive view. The seats. This side shoots you up to the rafters. This side shoots you up to the sky. I have seen these on coasters before, so I guess it is! The credit bell rings Ka Ching! I guess it kind of looks like a coaster. I spent a few minutes looking for this "coaster" before being told that this was the coaster. Avatar Airbender! Credit #702 for Big Mike! Get to know Big Mike Fact #23 - Big Mike is not fond of spinny rides. Pretty high towards the ceiling. The lift. This takes up a fair amount of space in the park. The Fairly Odd Coaster! (Some would say that the fairly odd coaster fits a fairly odd Big Mike). Now the coaster is on the total opposite side than where it started. There is even a tunnel. The coaster winds through all the rides in the park. This coaster climbs the lift all the way on one side of the park. Pepsi Orange Streak! There is more greenery inside here than at some parks outside. Big Mike is all loaded up with credits and ready to roll. The prices. Nickelodeon Universe inside the Mall of America! This is no Jeepers inside the mall either!! The Mall of America in Minnesota!

I will eventually finish my TR from that trip. We ended up going to Valleyfair and Little Americka that weekend. I'm still trying to figure out how Casey and Robb fit in the tobaggan of death..... Big Mike
Hello great friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mid November and I am already craving more coasters! Some really good news, The Big Mike Hotel has already had reservations for 2009 starting to come in There are still a few dates left in 2008 with openings at the Big Mike Hotel for the Thanksgiving Day Parade, Christmas time in NYC, and New Years Eve in Times Square! Get your reservations in early! The next stop on The Big Mike Road Show 2008 was Como Town in Minnesota! Big Mike Productions will also throw in some bonus features this time, The Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village!! Hope you enjoy! Peace, Big Mike Thank goodness there was a nurse there to take real good care of me Hope you enjoyed! Peace, Big Mike Now definately getting sick. Starting to feel a little queezy at the sight of most of the costumes! Some new type of Super Hero. Even the doggies get dressed up. Next year Lucky Dog is there for sure! Jammin to the Halloween music. The Halloween Parade in Greenich Village, an annual event that brings out the crazies and the whackos, and a whole bunch of awesome and bizarre costumes! Since most are X-Rated, there are only a few that I can show you. Before we get to the Halloween pictures, just thought we could throw this Broadway show in that I saw last night to keep The Valuable Big Mike Readers up to date by the minute! Mexican! Between shows, it is always time to eat! I got a cookie from this famous cookie place in the Village. I could not ruin my appetite though as dinner approached. I was on a corner that had a mexican place, a five guys burger place, and a pizza place voted for having the best pizza in NYC! Time to guess which one Big Mike chose??? Right around the corner from Fault Lines, I was able to take in an evening show of She's Black, He's Jewish, They're Married, Oy Vey! Last weekend I saw Fault Lines, which was directed by David Schwimmer from Friends. Hey, look Scott! I told you it was a jersey and not a sweater Madison Square Garden is also home to the New York Rangers and this big display. The event was held in the theater at the World Famous Madison Square Garden. Some events attended by Big Mike since coaster season include The Cirque du Soleil, one of Guy's favorites. This has been a Big Mike tradition dating way back. This statue of Ralph Cramdon from the Honeymooners sits outside Port Authority in NYC. Big Mike slaps his ass every trip into NYC. Most of all though, more time in NYC is the result of the coaster off season. The Empire State Building in red, white and blue! BONUS COVERAGE! The coaster off-season has let me spend more time with Lucky Dog! Big Mike Shot of the Day! Nope, it is going to be a new polar bear exhibit! Clearing land maybe for a new coaster next year???? "Ohhhh, Big Mike is looking at me." Giraffes. Likes to tan in the sun like Big Mike. Throw some glasses, a smile, and an Official Big Mike Road Show T-Shirt on him and we could be twins! Como Town also has a zoo! Other rides at Como Town: Credit #705 for Big Mike! I am not sure if this girl is afraid because: A. The dragon screaming B. The invisible track C. Big Mike You could hear the dragon screaming sitting all the way back here. Then again, the huge coasters don't have the invisible track either! Where did this coaster just come from? The drop. (These shots are not as dramatic as the huge coasters lifts and drops) The lift. The train. Second stop, The Screaming Dragon! First stop, the potties. There is a deal after 4pm, thus the line when The Big Mike Road Show pulled in at 4:05. The prices. Como Town in right down the street from the Minnesota State Fair, which I missed by a week. Como Town!
STR8FXXXINEDGE
Haha... awesome update once again Big Mike! I wish I would have had time to visit the zoo when I was at Como Town. Was it free to get in? I saw that there was a donation taker at the park entrance, but I didn't see any separate entrance for the zoo when I was there. I just assumed it was free. I'm curious as to what the costumes that couldn't be shown were like. They must be pretty risque, cause a couple of the ones that you posted are pretty... non existent, haha!
