THE BIG MIKE ROAD SHOW - 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PICS ON PG 769

Recommended Posts

I post a hearty no thank you, Mike.

Your ridiculous self promotion and inflated sense of self worth is not something I need to see repeated in 2009. As a casual lurker/reader of this forum, I honestly wonder if you have no gauge on how creepy and odd you come off as (most of the time). Evidently, you don't.

In any case, YOU asked for votes ... theres mine.

But something tells me that we'll all be treated to reading about your road trips in '09, how many great friends you have, how your thread is HUGE, and how hilarious your "tongue in cheek" references to yourself are.

Mazel Tov to you, Sir. Perhaps in the next update to this forum they can figure out a way to block, from view, any thread started by Big Mike.

^^Wow, was that really necessary? I think a simple "no" would have sufficed. To answer your question, you click on someone, find and click on that. I don't know how effective it is, though.

I vote YES for an '09 roadshow. Even if it's a rehash of the same parks. Obviously, new parks would be ideal, and I'm sure Big Mike would make them his main focus. Also, maybe posting more pics of women and showing us his credits of a different kind.

He does have some valid points and this is why I am asking, just trying to get a pulse on ALL the board readers and their views on my thread.

I am open to all complaints and negative feedback.

All would not be right in this world if we did not have some people that hate this thread

Feel free to let me have it if you so choose!

Everyone else, thanks for the votes of confidence so far!

Peace, Big Mike

Yeah dude for sure. I never post in your thread but I've read a lot of the trip reports and pictures are very good. You're name is listed at the top of coaster-count because of the parentheses in your username on there so I always see your coaster count going up and it's pretty hard to compete.

I say Yes because this is Theme Park Review!!! Its in the name even if its the same park you constantly review the park with new changes good or bad. Your reports are also enjoyable to read and look at and help pass the time. For the many out there living near parks he visits or might visit, its fun to go meet him and ride with him for the day. I would love for him to come back to Cedar Point in 09 possibly for Coastermania or even to Kings Island.

Believe it or not, I really do not usually go to parks unless I need a credit at them, excluding going to Great Adventure to ride El Toro a bunch!

CoasterMania was soooo fun, that is a great possibility.

Kings Island almost has to be a given as that is or may be the only Cedar Fair park I did not hit this year and I have a handful of unattained credits there

So far, the responses are looking good!

Peace, Big Mike

Yes, I would love to see the Big Mike Road Show in 2009, I think the Big Mike Road Show has been a great addition to the TPR forums and would like to see it continue.

If the funds are their and I can get off work I will try to meet up with you more in 09.

Coaster Mania 08 was a blast, and I wish I could have spent more time with you guys. I had my cousin from Corpus Christi Texas with me and my wife. She's not into ridding coasters, she's terrified of them but she goes with me to all the parks. I could not ask for a better wife really I have it pretty good.

Hope to see you in 2009 Mike.

Most of what Im trying to say was said by CTU Agent and RIP Cyclone but the site disclaimer pretty much says we are not very serious and if you take offense to what we do then why bother. This is an awesome site and defiantly the only site I could ever have posted more than 500 times. There are so many awesome people on this site but what really sets us apart from ace and stuff like that is that we have a sense of humor.

BY THE WAY I HOPE TO FINALLY SEE MIKE FOR THE 2009 ROADSHOW

in other words ROADSHOW 09 FTW

Of course Big Mike.

Depending on how long the TPR trips will be, I'm actually considering of joining either the Scandinavia or West Coast trip next year and hope to see you there.

If I'm not able to join on of the trips next year, I'm anyway looking forward to the BM 2009 roadtrip.

1 suggestion : I wouldn't make a new thread. Just continue in the 2008 one. That's good for the all time statistics

Sure why not, I'm always up for a day trip with you Big Mike! Maybe we'll be able to hit SFGA next year since we didn't get to do it this season. By viewing this thread and other threads PTR I can determine whether or not a park is actually worth visiting. To Big Mike and every one else who gives us a trip report on TPR, I salute you! Keep up the great work.

Definitely yes Big Mike, I'd be shattered not to get my "speaking in the first person" fix in 2009. But what is your goal for next year? You set the 2008 bar to Beijing gold medal heights (if only your drug test didn't come back negative you would have been on the podium), what have you left yourself to achieve in 2009?

My fingers hurt from being FORCED TO CLICK ON AND READ A THREAD. I have been forced to click on threads that I do not want to read.

Damn you TPR with your mind control tricks.

Oh wait, No I have not been, but apparently somehow someone has been forced to read Big Mike's thread.

I, who had one heck of a fun day with Mike at Coastermania at CP would love to see the thread continue for 2009. Perhaps people should not bash what they do not know. If you do not like the thread DO NOT READ IT.

Mike, you are a lot of fun and I always look forward to reading your updates, please continue.

Some people, sheesh.

And Mike, if you decide to come to Coastermania 2009, we can put you up for the 2 nights.

Hey Mike,

Kings Island is about 2.5 hours away from me so that's a good opportunity to meet you and get to experience the tallest, the fastest, and the meanest coaster in the park together! Indiana Beach is small but pack full of fun as well. Easily 1 ride session at Indiana Beach along with maybe a stop at small family coaster in Indianapolis Zoo... Kombo. Lame and cute but it was a credit! Also "That Fun Place" in Greenfield, IN. Has another family coaster... Sea Serpent. It doesn't make sense with the name since we are noooooo where near the sea. If they called it the Corn Serpent then it would be fine... Random! I know.

Anyway, just throwing ideas for 2009 in 3 hours radius from Indianapolis if you plan to hit the road again and if you're heading toward to this area.

If you did that trip on a weekend... I would most def. join in. I have never been to KI, but I might visit IB if it was with someone (maybe next year will be better), I already got the Kombo credit at the zoo, but don't have the Sea Serpent in Greenfield. Also up in northern Indiana is a another FEC with a coaster. The place is called Paige's crossing.

Finally, you have an emphatic YES from me, Mike! Don't ever listen to the haters. Keep up the great work! Shannon and I are anxious to meet up with the Road Show again at some point next season!!

Scott,

Mike asked for votes and thoughts. That's what he got. We don't need to bash the guy over it. Trust me, there are others that feel the same way.

Definite a head chopper right there!

I was thinking about heading up to Paige's crossing this year since that's about an hour from me but over the summer with gas price and internship... just never made it that far. If it is still running now in the cold, I may head up for the credit. Another spot to check out that I forgot is Fun Spot! I heard many bad reviews about them but I'm still planning to check them out anyway!
