Airtime&Gravity
1. Corn Hole for Geagua Lake-It is kind of hard to beat this, and Cedar Fair demolished it(both the park and the game) at the end of the year. 2. Poseidon's Rage-Yeah it's a cool wave pool, but it takes up so much space that there isn't any room to expand the ride side. If this was built back where the rest of the water park is, then it wouldn't be as bad. 3. Wiggles World(SFGAM)-I'm glad that SFGAM got another kiddieland, but it could have gone in a better place other than under the old circus tent.(I'm amazed they crammed so many rides under it) The old Looney Tunes National Park is dead, and it could have gone perfectly there. There isn't much there, and even if they kept the participatory play area, they still would have been able to add the new rides. While there are some rides, there is also a lot of concrete, and they could merge Camp Cartoon Network with it. Camp Cartoon Network even has some little different themed areas, so if this one large kiddieland was built, it would be possible for it not to be entirely themed to the Wiggles. It just seems out of place where it is now, and if it was moved just a short distance away, it would not be so out of place.
sam06pr
JTA at SFFT. They Have 2 water rides already, enough coaster for a park like that. But I think a better themed and longer water coaster would of been better.
sixflagsguy5
Wiggle's World at SFGAM. I like marathoning the big red planes when all of the good stuff in the park has long lines, but besides that it was a total waste of money IMO and it ruined the Eagle tent. downunder
2007: Mick Doohan's Motocoaster - Dreamworld Australia 2008 potential: The Dark Knight's at SFGAm and SFNE are puzzling additions considering both parks already have spinners.
coolhandluke
Maverick (Cedar Point)--This park has enough coasters as it is, did they really need an all-encompassing, multi-dimensional ride that combines several ride experiences into one? And with some THEMING?? Come on, CF... Griffon (Busch Gardens Europe)--Why open a ride just like another one at a sister park? This forced them to alter ShieKra just to maintain popularity and compete, and does anyone actually LIKE vertical drop coasters? Mystery Mine (Dollywood)--I thought Dollywood was a park the entire family could enjoy. But then they go and release a crazy woodie, a Topple Tower, and this intense Euro-fighter. They are forgetting what is important to its visitors--family atmosphere. In reality, though, I didn't fully understand the Wiggles World changes (I guess I'm not alone either). I realize they are popular, but will they be for a long time (especially after their lead singer transition)?
YoshiFan
Boardwalk At Hershey, it's way too small with not enough activities and slides which cause very long lines. Plus East Coast Waterworks is run horribly, with people lining up in the structure with no actual queue lines for the slides which causes congestion and tons of line cutting. On top of that, the rumors are they are going to remove the Canyon River Rapids, to add more Boardwalk attractions. They should have made a seperate waterpark, either seperate gate or away from the rides but included with admission like at Dorney Not quite as bad but Wiggles World at Great Adventure. The park already had 3 kids areas so a 4th wasn't needed even though it was mostly a retheme of part of Looney Tunes Seaport. We also lost the Arrow Hydroflume because of it. I would have rather seen them spend money on family rides (not kiddie stuff) such as an interactive dark ride.

I realize they are popular, but will they be for a long time (especially after their lead singer transition)? LMAO! I like how what is arguabley some of the best coasters of the year are someone's pick for "worst additions." 99% of the people who ride Griffon will never have ridden SheiKra or vice versa. So it makes perfect sense. And Yes, I like vertical drop coasters. I personally think SheiKra is one of the best B&M's built in a long time. Dollywood, even with the addition of those thrill rides, has more atmosphere than most other parks in the USA. And you're forgetting that they also added a bunch of family stuff in addition to the rides you mentioned. And Maverick, while I wasn't totally blown away with it, is a very solid ride. And the park is called "America's Roller Coast" so what exactly did you expect them to build? I agree with Wiggle's World at SFGam. That was pretty bad to be honest. I really liked Posieden's Rage. That wave pool was OMFG awesome! Better than most rides they could have put there. --Robb
BarryH
What's wrong with Mystery Mine? It's intense, but families can still ride it together. The theming rivals anything at Disney or Universal.
coolhandluke
^ & ^^ Wow, my apologies--looking back I see I failed to include any indication of sarcasm in those first ones. I guess I haven't been around here enough to post a gag comment properly yet. That's why I put "in reality, though" by the Wiggles World, as that was my true vote. Those first ones were not my worst picks (I am in love with Maverick, I am trying to persuade a family vacation to BGE next summer, and Mystery Mine made my "top 45" wish list). From here on, I will be sure to articulate better between serious and sarcastic remarks. I like how what is arguabley some of the best coasters of the year are someone's pick for "worst additions."--Robb This still rings true, though, as I do have several friends who despise Maverick because the restraints allegedly "nearly decapitate them", and they refuse to ride it again. --Cool Hand "I gotta remember text doesn't have sarcastic inflections like spoken word" Luke

bdstrom
That depends on what you mean by "addition." I'd say King's Dominion's reduced admission price for 2007. That attracted so many trailer trashes and low income creatures. Exactly why I could NOT ride Hypersonic XLC this summer, just too many of them in the line. Now Hypersonic might go away without adding this credit to my list.

Swimace
Any addition is a good addition.Should Six Flags send their Deja Vus to your home park then? I think Deja Vu is a really fun ride. I'm sad that Georgia is losing theirs, it was one of the more thrilling rides in the park. Sure it wasn't as good as Goliath or as smooth as the park's other B&M's, but the vertical spikes sure were fun. and on that note I'd like to cast a vote for the Thomas area for SFOG. Not that I'm protesting a new family addition, but the area doesn't seem to really consist of much.

BeemerBoy
I'm not saying some people didn't like Deja Vu. I'm saying there's a good reason why you can't consider them good additions, and why they're currently being removed.

Glitches happen. That doesn't make them bad additions. Maverick had bugs. Dragster had (and still has) bugs.
sixflagsguy5
Griffon (Busch Gardens Europe)--Why open a ride just like another one at a sister park? This forced them to alter ShieKra just to maintain popularity and compete, and does anyone actually LIKE vertical drop coasters? Griffon is a great ride. I was VERY suprised that Griffon was as good as it was. For some reason I didn't like Sheikra as much. I rode sheikra in 2005, so my memory is probably just off a bit and I probably let the busy park that day interfere with my opinion. I agree with Wiggle's World at SFGam. That was pretty bad to be honest. And this is coming from a guy with a kid!! Shows how bad of an addition it was. I think that the wiggle's "fad" will die out in a few years and they're going to be stuck with an area that nobody likes.
