Vffreak07 Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I just got back from target. I got a vault ICEE and I'm drinking right now. It's amazing. You can do it man! Just keep workin out and eating right and it'll all be good.
sixflagsguy5 Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 I think that using your site as a reminder everyday is a very good method. Good luck losing the rest of your weight. The healthier you are, the longer you live. The longer you live, the more coasters you get to ride!!
ElToroExtreme Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 keep it up Robb!!! Im setting my final weight loss goal now. by the time the east coast trip comes around i wanna be down to 150 lbs! thats only 30 lbs! and that will be a total weight loss of 120 lbs in 2 years!
TheRapidsNerd Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Robb, if it makes you feel better, with all the chaos this week at work, I didn't have the right mind or energy for my usual wednesday workout. Â As they say in the computer biz "Shift Happens". You're still doing great from when you started and many are proud of you for working so hard at your goals.
robbalvey Posted December 6, 2007 Author Posted December 6, 2007 Day 24 - Â FRUSTRATING! Â Another day where I didn't eat much, worked out for an hour, and gained a pound. Â *sigh* Â I was really hoping to do better by now since this weekend I have a dinner, a day at Disney, and a Christmas party to go to. Â It's going to be tough to eat *light* this whole weekend. Â Anyway - Â Today's weigh in - 243.5 Total weight lost - 20.5 pounds in 24 days. Frustrated.
ginzo Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 ^Chin up. Your weight loss performance so far has been really impressive. You're a lot better at this than most people.
Mr.Six Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Stay with it Robb, even if you don't make the 30/30 day thing. Already over 20 pounds in under a month! That's impressive. You ever seen those commercials where they show something like, "20 pounds in the first 6 weeks". And that's just what they're advertising! In reality I bet on average its less. Â _Mike
coasterdude5 Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Hey Robb (and anybody else for that matter), saw this today, thought it might help a bit. Not that you're making any mistakes on the diet, just thought it was an interesting read. Most of it is common sense but there were a few that surprised me. Â Don't lose focus, they'll start coming off again soon.
downunder Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Hang in there Robb, just think you won't get stapled in as badly on coasters with that new svelte physique. Â I guess you can always sell a kidney on the organ black market to get those last few pounds off.
thefitness Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Good luck this weekend! Â I still can't believe you've lost that much so fast!
QuakerOaties Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Hey Robb, Â Good job so far. We're going over weight maintenance in my animal physiology class and the whole process is a lot more complicated than one might think... Just hang in there and you will be able to lose more weight!
robbalvey Posted December 7, 2007 Author Posted December 7, 2007 Day 25 - Â Oh what a glorious day! Â Actually dropped a bit of weight. Ate very little, played DDR for about an hour and took a dump the size of a Volkswagon Beetle. It was beautiful!!! Â This weekend will be REALLY tough. Tonight we have dinner with friends, tomorrow we're at Disney all day then Cheesecake factory for dinner, then Sunday we have a Christmas party. I'm thinking I might put this thread on hold over the weekend just because I'm actually not sure I'll have the time to update over the weekend, and it might depress me knowing that no matter what, there is no way I can make progress with all that. Â So if it's ok with everyone, I'm going to take the "Weekend off!" Â Anyway, on to today's stats! Â Today's weigh in - 241.5 Total weight loss - 22.5 pounds in 25 days. Wave hello to matching socks!
SharkTums Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Good job sweetie! You looked damn sexy in your Kentucky Rumbler shirt today!
Scaparri Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Dude, don't you just love those dumps? The ones where you feel like you dropped 10 lbs? Those are the best. Â Seriously, Robb, this weight loss has been beyond impressive. I never doubted your ability to lose it, but I doubted the possibility of losing weight that fast. I lost 55 lbs in 9 months once and everybody thought THAT was ridiculously fast. Well, you've already lost almost half the weight I did in less than a month. That's so awesome dude. Keep up the good work!
65skylark Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Yay, for socks!!! Â Oh, and tell all your loser friends hello for me this weekend, too!
Jayjay719 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Go ahead Robb you deserve a weekend off! Great job thus far and try not to gain much this weekend! My socks never match....so its cool.
Mr. Volcano Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Congratulations Robb! That takes alot of self determination to be able to do what you have accomplished already! I wish I could do that as well, but sometimes I feel like I'm too lazy! Â -Justin
printersdevil78 Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 I lost 50 pounds in four months during my freshman year of college, but that's nothing compared to this! Â You da man, Robb! Â Da man with the socks.
TheRapidsNerd Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 While it is past 30 days, this thread was kinda like my coffee in the morning. I looked forward to it each day and will miss it. Â Win or lose, Robb did move mountains during this journey and influenced others to better themselves. This of it'self, is a worthy accomplishment.
robbalvey Posted December 13, 2007 Author Posted December 13, 2007 I'm not done. Â While I feel I kind of have to put this thread on hold for a bit. Not something I wanted to do, but this week has been insane at work because we're leaving for our Florida trip on Friday for 3 weeks, I *will* be picking it back up when we come back from Florida. Â And perhaps we'll "reset the clock" when I get back? Â This thread has been a fantastic incentive to me, and I don't want to lose that. But the reality of "life" getting in the way of me being able to do a daily update has occured. Â So I'll start again when we get back from Florida when I know I'll have 30 days in a row to get back to this! Â I hope that's ok with everyone else! Â --Robb
TheRapidsNerd Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Hey, that's good news that this is going forward after the holiday craziness. Â Well, I feel sheepish... Sorry Robb.
Zen Coaster Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Well done Robb. You're doing brilliantly so far ... keep it up!! Â Time off for good behaviour I think! But stay away from the turkey legs and Dole Whips
zippo123 Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Hey Robb (and anybody else for that matter), saw this today, thought it might help a bit. Not that you're making any mistakes on the diet, just thought it was an interesting read. Most of it is common sense but there were a few that surprised me. Don't lose focus, they'll start coming off again soon.    I also find this diet interesting too!
Team Thriller Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 You have worked so hard, that you need a break! Â Have a great time in Florida! And be sure to not let the diet get in the way of anything. Â --James
Ccron10 Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Keep up the good work! I plan on loosing around 45 lbs by March to get ready for summer. Maybe I should do a weight loss thread too once I start into a rutine. Have any words of advice?
