FeelTheFORCE
Down here in Pittsburgh, Starbucks is selling a new coffee. It is called the Hossa, but from what I hear, bring some gloves, because apparently it doesn't come with a cup....
chemical_echo
For anyone following the Phoenix Coyotes possible move to Ontario, it's not happening...at least not yet. Â Â This really sucks. Lots of people are hoping a team can come back up to Canada, since we can actually support teams. Why anyone would want to keep a team in Arizona, where they have been losing $36million a season for three seasons (and probably will continue), is beyond me; it makes no economic sense. Â I hope Balsillie doesn't give up and keeps fighting to bring the team to Canada. Arizona obviously doesn't care about the sport.Judge rules in bid to Move NHL's Coyotes

dammie16@vt.edu
Only a month or so til' preseason and then a few weeks until the best sport starts up again!  Thoughts on the season?  My Preseason playoff picture:  East 1. Capitals (They added a bunch they needed and didn't lose much plus they will have a capable season long goalie) 2. Flyers (This team is STACKED and will be very good) 3. Canadians (They should fall into a great place this year) 4. Penguins (Close to Flyers but not there 5. Devils (As long as Brodeur (SP?) stays healthy 6. Hurricanes (Same as last year) 7. Rangers (They made some strange pick-ups but didn't lose much) 8. Isles (FINALLY! With a injury ridden team they scraped up last place but in the mean time got a lot of young players some valueable experience and if Tavares lives up to his hype this will be an 8 seed out in the first round kinda team! I can hope right?)  I left the Bruins out because I wanted so badly to put the Isles in and just picked one random team from last year to leave out  West 1. Detroit (Same team really minus Conklin which isn't a bad thing) 2. Sharks (No choking this year though) 3. Canucks (Made some moves for defense will add up nicely) 4. Flames (Kiprusoff enough said) 5. Chicago (Young last year experienced this year its a lock, well if Kane stops beating peoples a**es lol) 6. Columbus 7. Wild 8. Coyotes (Only because this spot is usually contested between 3-4 teams and I have to add one random team to come out of the blue!)  Go Isles, EFF the Rangers
Hercules
If Broduer stays healthy? He wasn't healthy for most of the season last year and they were still a top tier team in the East.

Yeh I do remember that he was out last year now. Thanks. Just change that to, since they are usually a good team lol.  ^Didn't the Kings have some young prospect that was playing really well, is he still around doing well?
Carnage
3. Canadians (They should fall into a great place this year) Â I don't have all that high expectations for the Habs. They've pretty much turned over their entire roster, not to mention letting Koviu and Kovalev go. I think they'll suffer with team chemistry. Â I think the Leafs are a long shot at best to make the playoffs, although they should be a very different team to watch. Burke has made their defense huge compared to last year. So at very least we should give opposing teams some serious punishment.
dammie16@vt.edu
^Yes I do see the possibility of the Bruins slipping in over the Canadians and the Leafs will more likely make it then the Isles but I can't count my own team out in preseason! FeelTheFORCE
East 2. Flyers (This team is STACKED and will be very good)  7. Rangers (They made some strange pick-ups but didn't lose much)  West 1. Detroit (Same team really minus Conklin which isn't a bad thing)  East 2. As good as their team is, they aren't going anywhere if their goaltending doesn't hold up. They have a lot riding on Emery, and he could just as easily fail. If that happens they literally have practically NOTHING left to spend on a replacement goalie and will just have to hope a youngster for the Phantoms is ready. A team can be great, but without decent goaltending, they won't last long.  7. Are you kidding? The Rangers lost their top 3 scorers from last year. Gomez, Antropov, and Zherdev are all gone. Who did they sign as a replacement? The forever injury-plagued Marian Gaborik. If anything the Rangers took a step back. I see them MAYBE (and that's a HUGE maybe) squeeking in at the 8th spot come playoff time...that's if they're lucky, and things go their way this upcoming year.  West 1. Also minus Hossa, Kopecky, Samuelsson, and Hudler....  If Broduer stays healthy? He wasn't healthy for most of the season last year and they were still a top tier team in the East.  Yeah but they had Clemmensen last year. He's gone. Who's going to step in if Brodeur gets hurt? Yann Danis? Kevin Weekes? Please. Not to mention Gionta is gone as well.  Another year of suffering for Kings fans... On the bright side, at least glass seats will be cheap again!  Are you kidding? I'd be ecstatic if I were a Kings fan. All that young talent. Kopitar, Stoll, Brown, Frolov, Doughty, Johnson, Quick, Bernier, etc....the Kings are LOADED with young talent. Not to mention signing Scuderi and trading for Smyth.
AllenA07
For the first time in years I actually think the Kings might have a chance at the playoffs. While I'm not predicting anything much, I think we'll sneak into the playoffs this year in the west.

BUT they consistently have made the playoffs riding on Lundquist. I mean when was the last time they actually played good defense? No I don't think losing the scorers will keep them out of the playoffs, but I will say that I hope you are right because I ******* *** ***** ******** hate the ****** Rangers
