KPfreak519
5 unanswered goals for the Pens to overcome a 3-0 deficit=pure awesomeness GO PENS!!!
Yamez
Holy crap that Alexander Ovechkin goal was awesome. Â Â I'm just happy we figured out how to play as a team! We tied the series 3-3, game 7 on Tuesday! GO CAPS!! Today it looked like Kozlov was channeling Ovie, backhander into the net and taking Lundqvist in after it! Plus we've got someone solid in goal now (20 year old rookie > 30 year old vet??) so its going to be a fun game 7 and hopefully rest of the playoffs! FeelTheFORCE
Go Pens! Yeah, keep yelling Crosby sucks, Cryer fans, he'll just score 2 goals on your sorry asses! Woo!
BeemerBoy
Somebody in New Jersey needs to do something to seriously piss off Marty again. I don't want to see the Whalers win.
Hercules
I just sent him 10,000 pieces of hate mail, with a snap shot of each time a "Whaler" has beaten him so far this post season. Hopefully that will piss him off enough.
BeemerBoy
^ Awesome. I'm going to call him and tell him he couldn't hold Patrick Roy's jock, and that he's not even in the same league as Roy. Hopefully that'll be the overkill we need.
Hercules
Please. In my letter I told him he couldn't even hold Nikolai Khabibulin's, Mike Richter's, or Cam Ward's jock. Don't even both messing with Roy, go down to guys that are 3 levels down from Roy and Marty B.
Carnage
^^ Tell him that Roy can't hear him complain because his two stanley cup rings are plugging his years.
BeemerBoy
^ AWESOME! That was easily one of my favorite sports quotes of all time. I always hated Roy when he was with the Habs (for obvious reasons), but Roenick annoyed me just as much. Thinking of that burn still makes me laugh. AllenA07
^^Agreed that is the best sports quote ever.
Hercules
Just as I thought........ Devils are done.
AllenA07
^I thought the Devils would have made it further. My big shock is that the Sharks are gone so quickly. I was expecting a 2nd or 3rd round exit, but the Ducks (though it pains me to say) are a decent team despite their record.
Hercules
^ I thought the Ducks were going to pull it out from the beginning. They are a very good team and just didn't get it rolling through the regular season.
FeelTheFORCE
Hopefully the Ducks can beat the Red Wings also.
Carnage
My big shock is that the Sharks are gone so quickly. I was expecting a 2nd or 3rd round exit, Â I'm not surprised at all. Although I thought they had a chance this year. Â They've gotten a reputation of being a team that does great in the regular season, but gives up in the playoffs. They're alot like some past Ottawa Senators teams. Teams that dominate during the season, but come April they can't perform.
carolinacaniac
Carolina had an awesome series against the Devils!!!!!! Â Too bad that they have to face Boston now, after going winless against them during the regular season, and last night I think showed how outmatched they may be, but hey, I can still hope for another good run! KPfreak519
The Pens have certainly managed to turn this series around. These next 3 games should be interesting.
KPfreak519
Wow. I had faith the Pens would win, but...not THIS awesomely!
Top Thrill Dragster
Pens murdered the Caps!! Â 6-2 baby! Â Â GO PENS!!!!
bigstevet07
Last night's games were the perfect examples of why Hockey Game 7's are the best. What great games. Sorry Scott, I was hoping Boston could have played Pittsburgh and physically manhandle them all series. Ah well Carolina is a pretty physical team too. carolinacaniac
All I can say is that I really wish I called in sick to watch the Canes/Bruins game last night, It seems like Carolina has this trend of either going to the cup finals or not making the playoffs at all (at least since 2002). I just hope they get their crap together, cause the Pens will be tough! Â I am also pulling for Chicago in the west. Â -Gary T.
BeemerBoy
Year after year, I'm learning more and more what it's like to be a Cubs fan. The Dolphins and Bruins continue to deliver me heartbreak.
bigstevet07
^^ I think its a given if you aren't a Wings fan, you are puling for Chicago. Although I'm sure the NHL wants Detroit in the Cup finals. Ratings are bad enough as it is. Red Wings Vs Penguins would be the ideal matchup for the NHL. But I can't stand either team.
BeemerBoy
My order of allegiance now: Â 1. Hawks 2. Wings 3. Pens 4. the effing Burger King Whalers. Grrr, still frustrated since Samsonov used to be my favorite Bruin.
FeelTheFORCE
I was hoping Boston could have played Pittsburgh and physically manhandle them all series. Ah well Carolina is a pretty physical team too. Â Just like they were supposed to "manhandle" the entire Eastern conference and cake walk to the Stanley Cup Finals? Please, you act like the Penguins have never thrown a hit. The Philly series that's all there was, hitting and fighting. Hell, Max Talbot got in a fight against Dan Carcillo in game 6, when the Pens were down 0-3, to trigger a comeback to take the series. Also, what about when Chris Kunitz blasted Kimmo Timonen? Not to mention taking hits from and trying to compete with a player who leaves his feet every time he throws one (Ovechkin). Watch highlights of Kunitz, Orpik, Scuderi, Gill, Malkin, Cooke, Guerin, Eaton, Boucher, Letang, Staal, Adams, Kennedy, etc. (not to mention the grinders that are regular scratches, but played all season long, like Godard for example), and I assure you that you will see physical play and hitting, and a lot of it. Â Red Wings Vs Penguins would be the ideal matchup for the NHL. Â I disagree. I think that would deter people from watching because it's the exactly the same as last year. The ideal matchup out of the four remaining teams, in my opinion, would be Chicago and Pittsburgh. It would be the battle of the young stars, with Gary Bettman's "golden boy," Patrick Kane, being one of them.
