I wouldn't say that was the case against Boston. They seemed to not really have trouble pressuring them offensively and scoring, they just couldn't play the full 60 minutes defensively, and went into full-out turtle mode in the 3rd period only getting 2 shots.

Even going down 3 goals early in the second period last night we were lucky to get a point out of it. We need to get our heads out of our @$$es and play like the Caps again.
ebl Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Picked up the tickets for the January 15 Kings-Oilers game. Due to a little last minute seat shuffling, the tickets are in Section 118, not 114. But I checked out the seat viewer and it looks like they should still be good seats. But I'm not going to complain about getting $117 seats for $73 each. Eric

I really hope they become the 3rd jerseys once the switch to the black and white jerseys. World Famous Staples Center. Kings in their "Forum" Blue and gold. Love the pads! Double crown mask paying tribute to Rogie Vachon. Kings 18th sell out of the year. 18,118. Kings end the dismal home stand on a positive note by beating the Oilers.

We were skating much harder, had better forecheck, and Neuvy made some awesome saves. The best thing was not allowing a single shot on the Flyers power play. Looks like things are finally starting to turn around for us, let's get a 7 game win streak and get us back to first in the East.

We had to kill off six or seven power plays last night, only one of which was legit. The rest were pitty-pat taps and light touches and obvious dives. Not to mention the MANY times our players were interfered with and cross-checked. And when Ovechkin was grabbed by his shoulder and pulled down to the ice when he was going after the puck and when his skates were taken out from underneath him. And that's not even the half of it. Hendricks through a clean hit on one of the Islanders, and that person grabbed Hendricks by the throat, NO CALL! And early in the game Ovechkin got called for hooking, it was a tap. The other guy still had possession of the puck and did not hold him back at all. It's something me and my family wouldn't even notice if a guy on another team did it to our guy.Going back to a game earlier this year, Oveckin had a breakaway and he got taken down from behind. Not only did he not get a penalty shot, he got two minutes for goalie interference. There was nothing he could do about it, he was sliding on the ice and he had no chance of missing the goalie. So if you think you have it bad, think about what I just said.
