Quick question for L.A. Kings fans---would you consider seats in Section 114 at Staples Center to be good seats? I've never been and I have a chance to pick up two seats there for a game next month. This will be a Christmas gift for a rabid hockey fan.

Thrashers just took over first place in the Southeast again. Its funny how the SE went from being the laughingstock of all the divisions, yet now we have 3 teams in the top 8 and a fourth one in 9th place.

I don't see anyone in that division having a legitimate shot at making any noise in the playoffs, aside from Washington (and even that's pushing it at this point). There's no way Atlanta or Tampa can compete in a playoff series with Philly, Pittsburgh, Vancouver, Detroit, Montreal, NYR, or even Boston. I'd put all of those teams ahead of them at this point.

Well out of all the teams you mentioned, Atlanta has won against Detroit, Montreal, and Boston. They only lost to Pittsbugh, and haven't played Vancouver or Philladelphia. This is Atlanta's best team yet, and you really may be surprised. They aren't one to take lightly. They are in second place...

"Eric, I'd jump all over those seats!" (BeemerBoy)

Well, I didn't jump all over them, as with my lack of coordination, I'd fall and get hurt. But I did talk to my friend and purchased two of them. Section 114, Row 18. $73 apiece. The game is January 15 against Edmonton. I think she'll enjoy the heck out of that game.

Funny how everything is much better now that Kovalchuk is gone. I thought they were making a huge mistake putting Byfuglien back on D but I was clearly wrong. Point per game pace as a D is crazy. Ladd is finally showing some more offensive ability. And come playoff time along with Sopel, they have some cup experience. I don't think they will be a cup contender but don't be surprised if they get past the first round.

I didn't see it because I was at the Steelers game, but from what I heard the Caps caught quite a few lucky breaks. From Malkin missing a penalty shot, to Goligoski turning it over on a PP, to Sid getting mauled on a breakaway and nothing being called.

Watching the replays, it looks like the Pens are the ones who got lucky. Fleury had a great game, he stopped a lot of shots including the one that went to replay. The Crosby breakaway probably should have been called, but the Malkin penalty probably not. At any rate, a good precursor for the Winter Classic. Makes me look forward to it!

You have no idea. I watched it live. So many times the Pens screwed up and we *just* missed the mark. Great game all around though, can't wait for the classic!

Beautiful goal from last nights game.

Saw that live, that was fantastic. Possibly the best goal I've seen this year. The Flyers are in a little lull, but I'm really looking forward to them taking on the Kings tomorrow, two strong teams trying to keep and reverse their luck, should be exciting!

What annoys me is that everyone calls Crosby a cry baby or a wimp, but he is neither of them. He'll scrap if he needs to and he'll take charge. Sure he argues penalties but he wants that powerplay or that penalty checked. Anyway Crosby has 2 of some of the longest point streaks and I both think they are longer then Ovechkin.
