imawesome1124
Well thanks a lot refs, you really screwed us this time didn't you. The officiating was TERRIBLE. They were getting away with interference left and right, forward and backward, up and down, and side to side. Not to mention stepping on our goalie's stick and breaking it in half. But yes, Holtby was at fault for our loss in the shootout because clearly he has no experience in the big leagues. But really the game shouldn't have even gone to OT because the refs let the Rangers have a goal that SHOULD NOT have counted. Last time I checked you can't punch it out of midair into the net with your hand, but they let them have it anyway. The officiating has been horrible all around the league, and we have lost at least 10 games this year thanks to crappy officiating.

FeelTheFORCE
LOL, DiPietro gave Matt Cooke a cheap shot with 17 seconds left, down 3-0, and who else but Brent Johnson skates across the ice to fight him! Johnson knocked his a$$ down in one punch square on the chin.
Top Thrill Dragster
Bad ass. I really, really wish the 24/7 show was still filming. The l-0-c-k-e-r room conversations have to be quite entertaining after this one.

imawesome1124
Ouch, just thinking about that makes me cringe. So we'll see just how well your team plays without its top players. And if we play ANYTHING like we did against Tampa, you guys will have a tough fight on your hands. We'll see just how complete your team is. I am so pumped for this game. Philrad71
Sabres have a decent run going, but choked the other night in Pittsburgh (even though Cooke was offides on the gw goal). I just don't think this team has what it takes to compete with Boston, Philly, Pittsburgh or Washington...if they even make the playoffs. On the plus side, having a new owner with a great passion for the sport might (hopefully) mean better chances at bringing in some key players to try and push for a Cup next year. While I respect what Golisano did in rescuing the team from the Rigas disaster, buying the team was more of a financial investment for him. He met his goals, made millions and is now intent on spending the rest of his days in Florida...can't say I blame him! Smart businessman right there...even though we didn't get that Cup while he was here, we certainly came close a couple times. Best of luck, Tommy! Top Thrill Dragster
3-0 Caps. Well, that was disappointing.
imawesome1124
What a well-played game by the Caps. They played aggressively in both the defensive and offensive zones. The forechecking was great, the PK was perfect, and Neuvy was outstanding. Johansson's backhander past Fleury was so slick, he didn't even know Johansson shot it until it was right over his shoulder. The officiating was terrible though, Knuble got SMACKED, not just hit, smacked in the eye which should have been a five minute major because he was gushing blood, and then they call a one-handed tap on Perreault. And they call a BS goalie-interference penalty on Hendricks when he was CLEARLY pushed into Fleury. But we managed to play good even though the officating was clearly favoring Pittsburgh. Carnage
The officiating was terrible though, Knuble got SMACKED, not just hit, smacked in the eye which should have been a five minute major because he was gushing blood, High sticking drawing blood is a double minor penalty, not a major penalty. It has to be intentional to draw a major penalty. Looking at the replay, I'm guessing they called it a shot follow through. If you hit someone with the fallow through of a shot it's not a penalty. It was not the follow through of a shot. The Penguins player was trying to hit the puck out of midair and missed and hit Knuble right in the eye. But, about 5 minutes later he scored a goal, so that was kind of like a payback thing.
DiSab
Huge win for the Jackets tonight, though I hope a lot of people don't write it off because the Pens were playing without Crosby or Malkin. Either way, a win is a win, and the 2 points was definitely needed tonight.

DiSab
Now, give us some credit, we've got a good team this year. We went through a bad stretch, but we've played good hockey the last few weeks, and we started out the season playing well. It's only a matter of time, I think we'll make a serious push the rest of the season.
Yamez
Coach Bruce is criticizing Matt Cooke for his hit? Doesn't he remember-(Snip) http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=matt+cooke+hit&aq=f Really? The issue is not that Matt Cooke did it, its that he does it around the whole freaking league, and doesn't seem to care one way or another about it. When the guy has a 5 minute highlight reel of his dirty hits, that's a problem.

phantomfan93
True, Cooke is dirty. But he treated him like he was the only dirty player.
