savemagicmountain Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Six Flags is bringing "Wiggles Worlds" to our parks, with three debuting in the 2007 season including one at Six Flags Great Adventure. The new "Wiggles Worlds" will include specially themed rides and attractions for families with kids ages 2-6, including The Big Red Car Ride, Dorothy the Dinosaur's Rosy Teacup Ride and the S.S. Feathersword Pirate Ship. The areas will also include shops selling Wiggles merchandise and a restaurant, the Yummy Yummy Café. Each "Wiggles World" will be populated by The Wiggles' cast of supporting characters: Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus, who will pose for photos and perform in daily shows. The Wiggles themselves — Anthony, Sam, Jeff and Murray — will make an appearance and perform at each of the parks where "Wiggles Worlds" are being launched. I think this is a good idea by Shapiro. This will definitly help with the family ties to Six Flags.
weeow Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 The Wiggles are awesome! They're a Disney show though...isn't that treason? Or clever marketing? I wonder if it's really going to be the real Wiggles performing. I don't want to hear an American accent singing, "Fruit salad, yummy yummy!." If it's not I'll be disappointed even though I shouldn't be. It's Six Flags! Everything is a rip off!
GMAN962 Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 So it sounds like it's going to be similar to camp Snoopy. Hopefully a credit involved eventually? They should also probably have a day care center or something.....and charge them like 2 bucks to drop they're kid off until whenever they want...something like that. ~Mike
rbpia Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 ^I don't think I would trust my kids with Mark Shapiro himself let alone an hourly Six Flags employee. If they brought in Supernanny I might consider it. But it's Six Flags, that would cost $125 an hour. rbpia
SharkTums Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 ^LOL!! Such a good point! The employees would be too busy talking about their break schedule and text messaging friends to actually watch the children!
DATman Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Magic Mountain ought to get one, though I think we all know it won't. I mean, it's kiddie area is the most craptacular I've ever seen. SFGAdv has two nice kiddie areas, so obviously they are the park to get a new one (yes, I know it is replacing their craptacular one, but still...). SF's logic astounds me.
the sound Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 ^ What logic. I didn't believe they had any. May i add, that the wiggles World at Dreamworld gets a "Ryan Ultra-Super-Special-Cool award" It is very nicely themed, but Six Flags are sure to ruin it. BTW, i've seen a WIggles concert. Also BTW, you won't be seeing the yellow wiggle preforming at any of the parks. He got sick and retired. Now that got a new guy!
Gav Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Haha, sounds like a complete clone of the DW version, thought i wonder if Maquarie Lesiure Trust (DWs owners) will get some sort of commision for selling their idea. But a word of warning, the big red car ride is NOT worth the "credit" (if you could call it that since its not a coaster) if it is anything like the DW version. It is a horribly kiddie ride, you feel like a pedo lining up for it and a pedo riding it and dont even think about buying an onride photo with kids in the other seats Personally i am opposed to the Wiggles, its terrible how Jeff makes a mockery of the serious condition of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Oh god WHY!!!!!! The wiggles suck!!!!!!!!
Canobie Fan Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 ^ Watch out... SFNE might be getting one down where Colossus was. :-\
DerekRx Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 I don't know how it will be at the other parks, but at SFGAd, they're just retheming 1/2 of Looney Tunes Seaport. Adding a few more rides that go around in a circle isn't going to bring in the families like Disney does. Think Six Flags, what does Disney have that makes them so popular? That's right, rides the whole family can enjoy together, not 30 different rides that are exactly the same for your 2 year old to ride while dad and the teens go off riding the big people rides. I doubt this retheme will survive much past 5 years.
Satoshi Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 every kinda Six Flags don't need to get wiggle park aka one for kids cuz they've already got tons of kids themed stuff like looney park! i guess too much havin' kiddie parks would not gonna bring us big thrills but just for the family fun! i'm not gonna say wiggle sucks though.

For kids lets say from 5-12 there is absolutely nothing for them to do, except maybe ride mine train or teacups lol. I'm glad they're getting a new area, but please, bring us FLATS or FAMILY attractions!!
Guest Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 The Wiggles aren't disney, they are however, play on the disney channel. The Wiggles are produced by Hit Entertainment. This is a great idea by Six Flags in my opinion. Smaller kids can have a lot of fun while their parents have fun to. The yellow wiggle got replaced by one of their other back up singers who is quite excellent IMO. He sings opera. Glad to see Six Flags doing more then just thrills.

pvcoasterguy Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 ^LOL!! Such a good point! The employees would be too busy talking about their break schedule and text messaging friends to actually watch the children! One bad apple spoils the whole bunch, in terms of Six Flags parks. There really are Six Flags parks out there with attentive, friendly staff and a family-friendly atmosphere. They truly do exist: Six Flags Great America, Fiesta Texas, Over Texas, Over Georgia... Magic Mountain may be really crappy (along with a few others), but don't allow those parks to spoil your view of the entire Six Flags chain. Six Flags always gets ripped on this deal--they seriously have some good parks. Most of the bad parks are just bad because of the neighborhoods in which they are located.
Zen Coaster Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Will be quite bizarre to see non-Australia based Wiggles Worlds when I'm over there next year. The yellow wiggle got replaced by one of their other back up singers who is quite excellent IMO. He sings opera. I know! Personally, I can't wait for The Wiggles to now cover Nessun Dorma.
christianscoasters Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 This is a good excuse for my aunt and uncle to take me to Six Flags! Their kids love the wiggles.
