thomas2 Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Right now I'm reading IT form Stephen King. Great book so far!
Luxo Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Currently reading The Crying of Lot 49 by, Thomas Pynchon
CoasterFreakZac Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I'm currently reading the Leven Thumps series. I know super kiddish but I like fantasy books. My favorite book of all time is Inkheart by Cornelia Funke.Inkspell wasn't that bad either.
HCONerd Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Ugh, I am currently reading A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens for a summer assignment for Adv English. It isn't as bad as I heard it was going to be, but I am losing interest in the book. Very quickly.
BigBird Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Well I recently read Midnight In the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendnt, and I thought it was really good, espescially since I had recently been in Savannah.
fictionalxxfiend Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 I'm on this huge Clive Barker kick right now. But I also have read "The Neverending Story by Robert Ende, which is just wonderful. To Kill A Mocking Bird by Harper Lee (pure awesomeness) and I am starting Anansi Boys by Neil Gaimen...
Théo the little french Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 I'm going to read The girl who loved Tom Gordon, written by the FAMOUS Stephen King.... I love Stephen King's books! The way he writes, speaks, describes the scenes.... It's really realistic, and the lyrics is like our thoughts if you understand what I mean......
Freefallbestrideever Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 ^ Good book, i'm waiting for the entire Edgar Allen Poe collection
Théo the little french Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 I know who dies in the 7th Harry Potter book.  Please, do not say nothing at all!! It would completely destroy the mystery arround this book!
Freefallbestrideever Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I'm not sure if i'm right, but from what i heard it would be pretty obvious to guess who dies ^
Théo the little french Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I'm not sure if i'm right, but from what i heard it would be pretty obvious to guess who dies ^  Even if it's obvious I don't want to know As a lot of people I've a lot of theories, but most of theme is not about the one who'll die, but more about what's going to happen.....the horcruxes, the mysterious RAB.....
CoasterNut17 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 ^Can't wait for it to come out! Â Anyway, I read adventure/mystery books, stuff that really gets you into it. I also like scary books, even though the effects aren't as good as watching a movie. That's what I like to read.
cprocks22 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Right now I'm reading Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt for a summer reading project for honors/intensive/advanced L.A. So far its a great book, but really depressing.
AllenA07 Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Did not have enough time this summer for another book in the Jack Ryan series, so I started the Jason Bourne series. That alone should clue people in on my favorite type of book.
SonOfBeastSucks Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 I've read three books lately. I had to read The Devil in the White City for school, which I hated. I also had to read Reading Lollita in Tehran for the same class, which I liked. Â I finished Snow Falling on Cedars yesterday...and I loved it. It has actual meaning and has the possibility of...changing you.
Jojo19799 Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 The last book I read was Water for Elephants by Sarah Gruen. I'm currently reading Uglies by Scott Westerfield and my next book will be The Kite Runner by Kahled Hosseini. I'm glad Christmas break is coming up, I'll have more time to read, but after that I'll have to go back to reading text books.
Bucket Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Anything by Chuck Palahniuk. I love his writing style and the eeriness/humor to his books. Anyone read Palahniuk books? My favorite is definitely Haunted.
AllenA07 Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Over the last several months in my free time I've been reading my way through the Jason Bourne series. If you ever want to read a book that has absolutely nothing to do with the movie based on it, get the Bourne Supremacy. The book and the movie could not possibly be any more different.
onewheeled999 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Today I finished a book called 'Fire Star' by Chris D'Lacey. It's the third book in a series, beginning with 'The Fire Within', then 'Icefire'. The first was painfully boring, the second was somewhat exciting, and the third is excellent. But the worst part is that in the end of the third book, the main character dies. Â So many answers unrevealed, yet no opportunity for sequel.
CoasterCrazy88 Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Right now, I'm in English 101, so I'm required to read On the Beach by Nevil Shute. Has anyone here read this before? It revolves around a group of people waiting to die because of a nuclear war. You read all the people's different views on the fact that they will all be dead within three months. It's kind of terrible to read!
Bucket Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Currently re-reading an old favorite... Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince).
Manny In England Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I'm reading the Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z now. If (by which I mean when) it happens I'll be ready.
