ParkTrips
OK today was a little better - I hung out with the In The Loop guys for a while, and even sat in during their recording. Here are some photos from today... Chris from GCI stopped by too! No Joe though, sorry Elissa =( Well that's all I've got from today, it was much slower on the floor. I hope you've enjoyed the photos!! Hm, I don't think I know who that is... he sounded like he's from France or something... so, the guys had to do their podcast, and had some random people stop by... I loved the finger game!! ... as does Will... Clint plays some games... I met some well known "coaster people" today, including Duane Marden of the rcdb! Justin Garvanovic of the ECC ran at the sight of my camera yeah, I rode it today. Nothing like seeing the skyline of Atlanta upside-down! ..But hopefully they have it working by next year Hey! Castaway Cove! They can't get theirs to work either... This play area seemed incredible kiddie Did Lagoon ever announce this? Not sure if this is new or not, but the Moser spring rides can have water which didn't seem to be choreographed too well ... and man-boobs that rival my own. Let's get this started right... cleavage with nipple action, awesome! here I am going down... hey since I'm "media" for the week, do I get to ride in the bad-ass humvee? It was a little nicer out today
DailyBugle_JL
Thats all we get today that sucks. No juicy rumors about small parks making deals or anything. Boo. I know who that guy is, the one with the french accent, in the photo for ITL. He use to work for intamin
Mark Rosenzweig
Make sure to stop by the Zamperla booth and ask for me- I've got espresso shots and kangaroos with your name on 'em! -Mark
the sound
I sort of expected more snooping around the booths, then looking at people creating podcasts. That was, sort of boring. The pictures at the start were pretty cool though! If you are going tomorrow, remember to go to the Pinfari booth. See what new pain machines they are designing. If shows open for us gonna make me wanna try every kinda restraints to see how they work so mechanic and one more I wanna do: ridin' on big thrills in showin' area then gotta scream out loud! Screamin' Swing's what I wanna try most I guess.....

The espresso shots are a nice offer, but missing out on a kangaroo is disappointing! I don't think I can make it tomorrow I sort of expected more snooping around the booths, then looking at people creating podcasts. That was, sort of boring. The pictures at the start were pretty cool though! If you are going tomorrow, remember to go to the Pinfari booth. See what new pain machines they are designing. Sorry that you didn't like that, but that's what I did today... and honestly I thought the people were more interested in the Walter Bolliger and Chris Gray part of the photos anyways I don't even think Pinfari is in the business anymore! That orange flat ride looks awesome. Were you able to ride that? No, it was not taking passengers
Meteornotes
Thanks for the photos. Did you spot any odd food at the show? Knoebel's always seems to add the strangest stuff at the show to their menu the next year... dt
Rider117
That orange ride is in Ocean City, NJ. It is the most painful ride for guys because of the restraints, I did not like it at all.

buttonman700
Is it just me or does there seem to be fewer people in attedance this year? Mark, you would know, is the show less attended? We need more shots of the Zamprella booth, I want to know more about the new portable river ride!

bigboy
Is it just me or does there seem to be fewer people in attedance this year? This was my 5th show in the last 7 and my 2nd in Atlanta. It seems like the attendance is lower than Orlando, but it's hard to tell since Atlanta has to spread the show floor out over 2 exhibit halls. One of the show daily newspapers listed attendance for the last 10 years or so and it has declined from near 30k in 2001 down to 22k last year. bigboy61483
the show was pretty decent. the people were friendly. had a chance to talk with b&m's lead designer for Goliath at sfog. zamperla should've brought disk-o this year. It was good. could be better. oh, joe, those were good pictures throughout the thread.

exmouse
Although attendance has been down, a lot of exhibitors have said that the quality of the attendees has been higher. ie. less people going for a mooch round and more people going to spend money. Plus without other distractions around like Disney parks people are spending more time on the shop floor. I believe the Screaming Swing on show is actually a travelling version designed for carnivals/ fun fairs. Not sure if this is the first one that was at the State Fair of Texas back in October of it is another one off the production line. Not sure why B&M need to come up with a new concept in coasters. They seem to be doing pretty well with their current offerings. They built 6 new coasters this year, only 2002 was a better year with 7 new coasters. OK Vekoma and the like sell more coasters than B&M but Ford sell more cars than Mercedes.
