dandaman Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 ^Okay, so there are three! I forgot about the one in Etobicoke. The other I was thinking of is the one highway 7. Must be nice to have them that close. *goes to corner and cries* Oh, and last time I went (July), they had all the names I could ever think of, except mine. Dan "Who wants a 'Daniel' chair anyway?" Smith
CoasterFanatic Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 It would be even more fun if you got to use power tools! That reminds me of the best piece of advice i can offer regarding IKEA furniture assembly. Buy the tool kit they sell (usually at the entrance to the warehouse) for like $6. It has all the bits you need to assemble IKEA products using cool tools like cordless screwdrivers. It sure beats the hell out of turning that little Allen Wrench until your arm falls off. // thanks to IKEA, this is hanging in my living room
Wes Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Elissa - Man I bet you were wishing I was there to put all that stuff together for you! I put those freakin lamps together in less then 4 minutes! Tops! ELISSA: Please buy another bar stool and make Ryan assemble it. And video tape the entire thing.
SharkTums Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 ^Yeah that sounds like a plan! There's a big difference between screwing 3 pieces of a pole together and putting together an Ikea Bar Stool! Although, I don't think I'd really trust Ryan to put anything important together!
jedimaster1227 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Ikea is really great (plus an Ikea with the TPR Crew is amazing). Oddly enough, my family has skipped out going to theme parks and attractions in Canada at least one day every year when we go, so that we can make a visit to Ikea (as that is the closest we ever get to one-that is until Orlando's is finally built! YEEHAW!!!).
Carnage Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Oddly enough, my family has skipped out going to theme parks and attractions in Canada at least one day every year when we go, You come to Canada every year? Can I ask why? I hope you got family up here, otherwise I can't understand why you'd come from Florida for our mediocre theme parks.

I almost built you shelving units! So I mean..come on! I just read...somewhere..i dont remember where..that you can buy an Ikea tool set thing to put those things together! Did you buy the set...?

SharkTums Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 You have to remember that Ryan can barely read! Anyways, no, we didn't buy the Ikea set. We have tools and had no problem! (Aside from Jahan forgetting the important 'righty tighty lefty loosey' rule!)
Ryan King Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 The only thing Jahan knows how to do is fly planes into buildings!
Wes Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 The only thing Ryan knows how to do is play with his lightsaber of justice.
Meteornotes Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 ^Fo' Sho'! Our house is filled with Ikea stuff. Every piece of furniture in my office (two desks, two chairs, table, 7 bookshelves, TV stand) is from Ikea, and our CD shelves upstairs were also purchased there. There's an Ikea about 10 minutes from our house. There are also TWO Carrabba's within ten minutes of our place. I just like pointing that fact out to Elissa over and over... dt

Freestyle Vekoma box escalator, anyone?

I hope you got family up here, otherwise I can't understand why you'd come from Florida for our mediocre theme parks. We go to Canada to ski in the Spring. Normally we go to Mt. Tremblant. This Summer, we went back to Canada to see it without snow (and we did go back to Ikea). I was able to see much of Montreal that I hadn't seen before, including La Ronde. I loved Goliath!
bgwfreak Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 *still waiting for Charlotte to get an IKEA*. Looks like you guys had fun. Yeti Ball is just globe trotting these days.
arrowfanman Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 4) Why am I so turned on by Jahan's big noodle? ...In that case, allow me to introduce myself... -Jahan
Guy T. Koepp Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 How did I miss this thred? Spookbaby, get Jahan now while you can still train him how to please a woman. You don't want some behemoth ruining him for the rest of the female species. PAID FOR BY FRIENDS WHO DON'T WANT TO SEE JAHAN WRECKED SEXUALLY!
arrowfanman Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 I have lobbyists?! Awesome! Thank you for your efforts Guy, but they need'nt be necessary. ...well, they are. But lets keep the organization on the down-low, and then in Summer of '08, we can start the attack ads. -Jahan
the sound Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 We have IKEA. IKEA is not as much as a theme park as Bunnings! Australians will find that funny. You can practically by equipment to make a roller coaster at bunnings! Chainsaws, Motors, Metal, Hot tubs, yup! You could make a roller coaster out of stuff at Bunnings!
robbalvey Posted November 18, 2006 Author Posted November 18, 2006 ^I got your back, wigga! Someone's got to! And Jahan, if you end up getting laid by either Guy or myself's assistance...we get video rights!!! --Robb "That seems fair, right?" Alvey
Guy T. Koepp Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 ^Between yours and my video camera collections. We could stage a whole series of "Cherry popin' coaster geeks." Collection. Dude! We could make soooooooo much money with this series! CPCG 1 Jahan explodes... ...twice! CPCG 2 Ryan's 10 seconds to glory. CPCG 3 Joey's Joygasm! etc. etc. etc.
TheLastGunslinger Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 IKEA has never looked like so much fun before.
VegasCoaster Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Is there a new Window's Media version or codec or something I need to see the videos because none of them are showing up for me. Looks like you guys had a great time from the pictures. I love IKEA but the stores are too big, they take about 1-2 hours just to walk through. Good stuff there though, good and cheap.
GURZU Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Woooo, enter to Ikea whit a TPR people.. is.... an Adventure! xD Really fun! xD
