robbalvey
Sorry about not having photos from last night, we were having WAY too much fun in the pool....but you'll have to buy the "adults only" DVD to get that footage!!! Anyway, so we started the day off at Cypress Gardens and then ended up at Busch Gardens and their Howl-O-Scream event. GREAT DAY!!!!! Onto some photos..... The TPR gang says "Thanks Busch for a great night!" Full photo update and videos coming soon! Keep the hot chicks coming!!!! There can never be enough T & A at Halloween events! Don't worry guys.....scare actors don't jump out if you're wearing a pink shirt.... Scorpion at dusk makes Joe quiver and shake...oh, wait a minute...he does that anyway! Death, destruction, and despair...people dying everywhere! Elissa was our un-official tour guide for tonight. "Everyone cough up an extra 5 bucks!" TPR was very color coordinated tonight! Martha Stewart? "It's a MAN baby!!!!" Control-Alt-Deseased kept us entertained until the park opened. And we kept talking about it for the next two days. It left quite an impression on us! "Two free balls for buying the VIP passes....." Reed's balls are blue. Jahan has "Kumba Hair." SheiKra....Awesome! Busch Gardens Tampa has one of the best selection of coasters ANYWHERE! You gotta be an "ArrowFanMan" to appreciate Python. Still one of the *BEST* Roller Coasters in the world!!! Kumba had a nice new paint job. Yay! Busch Gardens!!!! On the way to Busch Gardens, we found a "note" that entertained us all for the next two days! Cypress Gardens was dressed up for their Halloween event "Phobia." Next year, we'll add this to our itinerary! They are smiling now.....but not for long! It spun so much it made us all stupid...even MORE stupid! The had one of them spinny, spinny raft ride thingys. Cameron "I don't ride kiddie coasters" was the biggest whore of us all!!!! How many hurricanes was it again? Everyone gets a woodie credit! Yay! Roller Skater credit! First Aid station with skull & crossbones flags. Heh! Glad to see they have a sense of humor! "Hey guys...what park are we at?" "Um...not sure.....Michigan's Adventure?" ParkTrips
begin photos Day 1 - Disney Day 2 - Universal Goodnight Universal! And that concoludes the first 2 days of the report for me I didn't take many photos at HHN, but I just wanted to comment that Bill and Ted's was awesome.. and horray for new friends Cameron chose Ice... he sucks I still choose Fire I've never taken that shot, so its at least exclusive to me! ... and totally a credit I skipped Ripsaw, even though its very awesome Meanwhile, in another Marvel Superhero Island location, Melanie found some balls to play with Hulk is still really sweet If only I had time, it would be funny to make it look like Dave is swallowing hte water The trolley ride was only AWESOME!! horray for new credits pretty awesome mmmmm.. Mythos yea, it may not be our Dino, but he does have a bigger mouth than me They don't look TOO wet! whores This is why I managed about 8 rides in the morning YAY the Dragons are running! I'll sit back here for a while waiting for the others to catch up yeah, I finally got my flyers credit What am I doing in Camp Jurasic? EXCLUSIVE!!! here is what it would look like with my face instead of the IOA logo... scary, eh? The lighthouse, as never before seen publicly I love meat... don't misinterpret that. It was Soren's birthday.. HORRAY! oh yea, btw this part is from EPCOT now only if they could replace that with a saturn one of the best movies ever! At one point, we hoped over to MGM and did several things. Sweet car show included. Loading a train with Robb and I on the same side made me a little uneasy yea, no new credit for me since we rode the right side again The Yeti caused me to grow an exhaust pipe omg, a pic of me with Soren NOT in the German Pavillion I suppose we could ride this... Here I am in front of Disney's shopping district, the Mall Kingdom It wouldn't be a Florida trip without a stop in Gainesville.
aro26
Howl-O-Scream is much better that Halloween Horror Nights. I went to bot and HHN was crowded and u couldnt get in the haunted houses or some of the rides, but HOS on the other hand was very open and much scarier(I almost pissed my pants ). I rode all the rides 4 times and walked all the haunted houses at Busch Gardens Africa. Overall, Howl-O-Scream is much better, hands down.
ParkTrips
I don't think many people would agree with you. The actors at HHN work so much better than the ones at HOS. I mean, yea its crowded, but being from Florida you can be a little more selective as to which night you choose to go, and damn them for being popular

Just reminding you to stop at the Playboy Outlet Store in South Georgia darn, it just HAD to pour all over Valdosta. No Wild Adventures for me today.. I still need some credits down there =( back on the road... lame Ryan heads in for some brunch... I think we pleased! sorry Kraken, I needed to get home - only one ride for me today. simply marvelous credit I think I still like it better than Phobia awesomeness Good morning other Busch! Goodnight Busch! lame carnival.. too many freaks an ok house with a neat concept.. I liked the ending HOS just doesn't stand up well against HHN meh CTRL + ALT + Deceased == awesome Elissa guides us with her lightsabre of justice.. Derek was playing the role of the bodyguard This was a good house! The rest... eh, not so much ... the ride is also killer at night, Rich and Melanie checking out the sunset Not quite Kumba, but still a killer ride! Kumba is also still amazing Smokehouse rocks, damn Mcdonalds for filling me up Sheikra still rocks yes, they rode in the back car. But they also said it wasn't too bad so yea "Hey Joe, why don't you hop in the open seat up here?" no thanks. It wouldn't be a TPR trip without a stop at McDonalds.. and WOW check out the new ordering system! man this ride blows more credit ho'in now THIS was a credit for me.. #3 on the trip, yay! OK maybe not THAT good I already had the credit but its an ok ride It looks like Rich is thinking "why am I riding this?" Hey Tom - we didn't get stuck this time!! You mean Cypress isn't scary enough?? Carlos and Ryan.. lame caption Yup. And this picture says "I'm pathetic" for all the whores oh jeez, does that say Cypress Gardens? I probably should have left him sleeping, oh well This trip, I was enlightened to the abundance of butts in the ride sadly, there wasn't 12 people to a boat for us... but we did have fun yessssss... candy I never rode the "old" Pirates, but I liked the "new" one Philharmagic pretty much rocked! bet youve never seen that photo Eric and Chuck tagged along! Finally, I get to ride Space Mountain!! Riding Stitch wasn't enough, these guys wanted to BE Stitch Yes.. MNSSP.. I'm still not sure what the acronym means I had no problem slaughtering several animals on my plate mmmmm meat If God went to WDW.. he'd eat at Ohana's lol, Joey. See.. I went on the Tusenfryd trip Nemo was a cute ride I guess Conditions were sweel for us to be able to ride (bad joke) EPCOT has a new attraction! I rode all the rides 4 times and walked all the haunted houses at Busch Gardens Africa. Overall, Howl-O-Scream is much better, hands down. The fact that you didn't buy an Express pass, like all knowledgeable HHN attendees do, doesn't make HOS a superior event. It makes you unprepared. There's a reason Howl-O-Scream is a lot less popular.
BarryH
^I go to HHN and HOS pretty much every year and I see good and bad things about it. However, I see the events as two sides of the same coin. If you like one, you'll probably enjoy the other. I can tell you the pluses and minuses about each event... HOS + Cool houses + Got scared in the Scarezones + Less crowded (except on Saturdays) + More shows + Coasters in the dark + Generally cheaper than HHN + Sort of an old fashioned haunted house - Scares are more of the "Boo!" or people jumping out and screaming at you - 3rd Dementia and Freaked were "dud" houses - Not as popular as HHN - Traffic is terrible around BGA during the event HHN + Popular and well-known + Houses are generally magnificent and some are movie-quality + Scareactors really get into scaring people + More "creative scares" + Bill and Ted! + Very immersive -- immersive storyline to the entire event and the houses + Coasters in the dark (when the event was at IOA) - Way crowded! - Needs more shows to dispurse the crowds - Pricey - More drunk people - Scarezones don't really scare me - Dungeon of Terror was a "dud" house - People Under the Stairs was a borderline "dud" house Heck, I'll go to both and have fun! disneyfan1313
The best way to sum up the differences between HoS and HHN is ... HoS - All startles as scares with OK Makeup and Costumes with great looking sets in the houses (although the have the same ones each year). HHN - Actually tries to *frighten* you and uses movie studio quality costumes, makeup and f/x and lighting. HoS was a fun event that would be amazing if it was anywhere else in the country (except perhaps SoCal) where you would not compare it to HHN.
