TheArchfiend Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 If they DO by chance announce something different from an aquatrax, it's in fact a cunning plan by cedar point to throw the fanboys off the scent. The REAL announcement will come in November. -James "Aquatrax" Dillaman I now fear that this will still be mainly an Aquatrax thread even after the announcement. Yeah, then everyone can join in without speculation once this puppy is announced to be an Aquatrax.
niiicolaaah Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 ok so what's THIS part for? http://www.pointbuzz.com/gallery.aspx?i=5360 I mean the big straight section with parallel supports. Lift hill?
goleafsgo Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 ok so what's THIS part for? http://www.pointbuzz.com/gallery.aspx?i=5360 I mean the big straight section with parallel supports. Lift hill? station?
TheArchfiend Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 ^^ My guess is that it is one of many pieces that help support the structure of the entire ride and keep the train from crashing into the ground. But I am no architect so it could be part of a lemonade stand for all I know.
redunzelizer Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 ok so what's THIS part for? http://www.pointbuzz.com/gallery.aspx?i=5360 I mean the big straight section with parallel supports. Lift hill? That's the boat refill area. After all we know, it's an inside out Aquatrax even! Since you will sit right within the water (approximately up to your chest), these boats will spill a bit during their course (as well as due to fanboys splashing around...). The next riders naturally will want a boat that is refilled to its original level though...
niiicolaaah Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 ^^LMAO....... ^I hope so! I loved that section on Colossus. It felt like I was in a tornado or like... blender without the sharp metal blades.
Carnage Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 My best guess would either be two launch runs, or a launch and a break fun. Or possibly a heart line roll section. It's not the station, as the station is most likely farther back from there. The lift hill I think is most likely going to be above that section. (you can see the likely footers for the lift supports from some arial shots).
Jumboshrmp Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Ummm... how about a launch? Since this looks to be a launched coaster, a bunch of straigh track makes sense to be a launch
CP_RULES Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 It felt like I was in a tornado or like... blender without the sharp metal blades. This is why Im a Nicole fanboy.
Superdasher Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Aquatrax, Aquatrax, Aquatrax, Aquatrax, Aquatrax, Aquatrax, Aquatrax, Aquatrax, Aquatrax. Oops... I forgot one... Aquatrax. Maybe it's a Powder Keg-like coaster...I mean, they're both launched and have a western theme...oh yeah, and Powder Keg's got the splashdown. I still think it's an Aquatrax with inversions. What's so bad about an Aquatrax anyway? A launched water coaster made by Intamin, the first of its kind in the US, sounds cool in my book!! Super "We'll see who wins, we'll see" Dasher
redunzelizer Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 New track laid, for guess what... http://www.pointbuzz.com/project2007mv0829.htm
Jumboshrmp Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 New track laid, for guess what... http://www.pointbuzz.com/project2007mv0829.htm I have no idea. Launch? Not likely. Wow. I want to know how some people came up with aquatrax
TopThrillz Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Okay so I found this picture (out of all places) on facebook. It just says its a possible layout, but here ya go: It really doesn't look like anything too special
Wes Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 It looks like they are building a pond or lake. WHY would they be building a new water feature for this coaster? Hmmm....HMMMMMMM....
TopThrillz Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 well there is only so much you they could really do just by putting it over water. i mean for all we know it could be mist like on iron dragon. although i think theyd actually do something a little more intresting.
HCOSurfer90 Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 What type of track is the weird looking track, the piece with the big gaps in them?
tinflowers Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 ^ Aquatrax, obviously. Obviously. From that image, looks like a fun little coaster. Especially if that is a launch up a hill for airtime over the first drop, then a second launch at the strait section to make the train go even faster. Fill in a stock of trees and water and we have a winner.
jedi1 Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 i think it will be like storm runner , only this one will have two launches. maybe, a lift hill and a launch. either way i live in ohio . 2007 season pass time.
DarkStitch626 Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Why can I not wait till page 404... LOL. Powder Keg+ Storm Runner+Atlantis Advenutre+ Western theme =
rosscoe Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Maybe it's not a coaster, it could be a kiddie ride..
jedi1 Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 to tell you the truth, italion job is a family ride and i think its cool. same thing with beaver creek mine ride and most mine rides. the kiddie coasters can fun too.. i just took my nephew to geauga lake and he rode everything he was big enough for. we had a blast. i dont like gl much but tickets were a gift . i had alot of fun seeing him on a coaster scarred out of his gord. afterwords he asked for more coasters he only was big enough for two of them. my point even family rides can be fun. 2 launches on something big . im in bliss.
