So, you're saying something like this could happen? If so, that would probably be the best way to put in a new coaster without taking out another one.

Yes. That's at least what I've heard about it from the employee chatter. The funny thing is, the box of cones was slightly smaller then the one in the picture, and it almost perfectly bordered the flood boundary now that I look at where the flood boundaries are! The line of cones never past any of the boundaries listed above, I never noticed that until now!

Just wondering if anyone has seen this, on Valleyfair's webiste, under Thrill rides, they have listed that Excalibur will close September 14th. Is this normal or will it be removed? Thoughts?

It's very normal. They haven't updated the site from last year in that area yet. Valleyfair closes thunder canyon and excalibur every year when haunt starts. Why they have already announced it now? I don't know. But it's pretty normal for that to happen.

I know everyone thinks we will most likely get an invert as our next coaster but what do you guys want the color scheme to be and the name? Reply to me what you guys would pick. I would do black track with aqua supports and name it the angler

I would pick a white coaster with blue supports named Avalanche. Or a purple tracked coaster with black supports named mysterio. Again, we shouldn't count the chicks before they hatch

If it is an invert, I think it could possibly be called Falcon: Bird of Prey because that was supposed to be the name of a B&M invert that would have come to VF in 2002 or 2003 and be in the spot where the Dinos are now, but was cancelled for some reason. Falcon would be a cool name, but I agree with the above post, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.

Certainly hope it is not an invert, nothing all that special about an invert.

I personally would rather see a few other coaster types before an invert like a Chance Hyper GT-X or a really awesome Intamin, but I just think an invert is the most logical option because it is just what the park needs: a modern steel inverting coaster that will bring in the crowds, and it would probably be the best or 2nd best coaster in the park (don't know if it would beat Renegade).

Just a thought, I think that Steel Venom should eventually switch to not counting down the launch and do a fake-out instead. That's what Vertical Velocity at Six Flags Great America does, and it makes the launch a lot more exciting when you don't know when it's coming. Or, is there a VF park policy that would prevent that?

There only B&M's best ride

Exactly! At least when done right like Banshee and Raptor.

Totally agree. The Jokers Jinx at SFA did great fake-outs. I was stunned when they launched Steel Venom on the count every single time. Faking out on launch coasters increases the thrill substantially for free!

Any three or four color combination of the following colors: blue, light blue, dark blue, purple, white or silver and it would be called The Blizzard or Polar Vortex. I could also support reviving an old coaster name from the park and call it 'Wild Rails', that way you could use any color combination you wanted to support that name with theming colors.

Wild Rails sounds like a great name for a mine train or something really tight and compact, where the track looks like a great knot. Would love to see that name on a spaghetti bowl coaster of some kind.

That brown may actually be a rich red color that shows up more in bright sunlight. The colors in the concept art look like dark red, dark orange, light orange, and a pale yellow (or is it green? Not sure ).
