  1. "Peter Piper" - Run DMC
  2. Ah, sports...now we're speaking my language. I've played a few in my time. I used to play everything quite frequently, but then I got married. Guess that's how it goes, huh? Anyway, this thread inpsired me to go a bit retro and pull a few pics: Yes, those are socks on the beach. Fort Lauderdale sand in august is scorching hot! A little indoor high school action (or non-action judging by this, the only pic I could find). I'm #16, and somewhere in that group is a kid that turned into one of the top 3 players in the world! There he is. George Roumain. A freakin' monster. Even in the pool. Sorry, bad pic. The only hockey one I could find though. Throw in surfing, golf, bowling and racquetball too. Couldn't find pics for all those though. Anwyay, thanks for humoring me on my trip down memory lane. I feel like one of those athletes sitting at their retirement press conference and reliving glory days.
  3. ^ I bet the dolphins didn't. Seriously though, I've seen some small dolphin tanks in the past ('70s + '80s), but wow, I've probably been in hot tubs bigger than that! And the sad thing is, there's plenty of places around the world still operating like that. Anyway, sorry to stray into that mini Peta rant. The old park pics are always great to see. Thanks for showing 'em.
  4. 200??? oh good Lord! I didn't even bother to look. Well, I agree....here's to another 200 pages!
  5. It is truly amazing after 170+ pages, just how many don't "get it." Scott "how many days again 'til the aquatrax is announced?" B.
  6. Excellent work! Needless to say, there's some beautiful architecture there, and you captured it very well. I guess I don't ever need to visit Merida now. Just kidding. Couple random questions. How far are you from Mexico City? And, what's the coolest temperatures you get throughout the year?
  7. ^ OMG, was that as big as the dolphin tank was, or did it extend beyond what was shown in the picture?
  8. Excellent job. Helping someone out is the single greatest feeling a human can ever experience. That was a really good turnout you had for the VBS. Those people are really gonna benefit from the work you guys put in, and it looked like you had a really good turnout for the VBS. Funny you should post this today, because my wife and I just just attended a function on Sunday where this couple spoke about a planned mission trip to Ecuador next year. We are definitely considering it. I just hope they don't have any run-down zoos like you showed....there's really not much more depressing than that is there? Anyway, again, nice job.
  9. Hmmm, I guess if that Larry Bowa is mint, you've got a deal. My offering card would of been worth much more, except I was traded prior to the '86 season for a kilo of coke and some jerri curl activator. They had to make sure Doc Gooden was well taken care of.
  10. ^ Final offer......this one, plus a Dale Murphy "Diamond King" for your 1988 set.
  11. ^ WOW. That small building is really coming along now! I wish they'd hurry up and announce what roofing material they're gonna use.
  12. ^ A better question would be....has anyone spotted track like that yet?
  13. ^^ Well, I don't think we're all claiming it's illegal. Maybe it's just me (at least it seems to be lately), but this just continues a somewhat disturbing trend on the boards. The Photo TRs seem to be turning into more of a contest to see who can be more risque than about theme parks, coasters and fun. Kids, you don't need to emulate the adults on the site in order to fit in and have fun. This wasn't BlueOctane material (a 13 year old drinking beer and watching porn in his trip report), but it doesn't do anything to discourage even younger viewers from acting the same way, or worse. And honestly, that's just frightening.
  14. ^^ They do look like the same supports. However, at the trax's connecting point at the support in the foreground, it appears to be angling inward towards the support, whereas, at the background support's connecting point, the trax seems flatter. Maybe it's just an optical illusion, but I'm leaning towards what Paul sees.
  15. 2nd place: Katun 3rd place: Montu 4th place: Black Mamba 5th place: everything else
  16. Relax everyone. If anything, this list should make you all feel smarter for knowing what's really good out there, right? The fact that Balder wasn't anywhere near the top, or the fact that SOB was even mentioned should give you reason to be thankful you know the truth. You're not considered part of the "general public," so be thankful you know better.
  17. This isn't so much a rant, as it is a simple prayer. Lord, thank you for blessing me with a brain. It is the single greatest earthly possession I have. Amen.
