^ Sideways (man, that was an awful flick) "What an a**hole. Didn't you see Boyz N the Hood? Now one of us is gonna get shot."

^ Two.

^ Considering they could have been robbed on any given day when they were all away from the house, would you suggest they put everything in bags each morning and hide them for the day until they return home? Sorry to hear about it, crispy. I've had stuff jacked before too, and it's one of the worst feelings in the world, period.

^ Yeah, the age thing was part of what made it so humorous to me. This is the kind of product that VH1 will bust out 15 years from now, and have B-list comedians cracking jokes about on "I Love The 2000's." And everybody in this thread who admitted they used it will watch and cringe in horror. Kind of like me once owning a pair of parachute pants. Scott "yes, the marketing team deserves a big raise" B.

^ Largest in the world now. And it's about a 15-25 minute drive from SFOG? Locals, am I about right on that? You can see downtown ATL (where the Aquarium is) from Goliath, if that helps any.
-
Not sure the was needed? I'm just saying that your post made it seem like you were at the aquarium a few years ago, when in fact, it's not even a year old. Scott "man, I'm nitpicky today for some reason" B.

Call me crazy, but your Sea Otter pic looked more like a Sea Lion to me? Maybe you just labeled 'em wrong. Anyway, nice report. I'm dying to get down to this thing soon! EDIT: ^ Nicole, you mean you were in Atlanta a few years ago, right?

apollo, you've got the longest arms I've ever seen! Well, besides Kevin McHale (Google it, non-sports fans).

Yet they remain undeterred.

^ Thanks. I was leaning towards that assumption, but I wanted to be certain. All the more reason to visit a German fair now. -

Okay, I've got a curious question for our european friends. Regarding German fairs, how do your "carnies" (or traveling fair workers/employees) rate in terms of....um, let's see...."social status?" I guess there's really no easy way of putting it. I tried to be as gentle as possible, but basically, I'm trying to picture American "carnies" putting Euro Star together. And honestly, I'm pretty frightened by that thought. Here in the states, the "traveling fair workers," or "carnies" as we call them, are not the most desirable people to be around if you catch my drift. Many times, they resemble homeless individuals, haven't showered in days or weeks, and on some occasions are even drunk while operating rides. I'm pleading ignorance on this one, which is why I ask, is the situation involving your workers different than what we are used to over here, or is it pretty much the same situation worldwide? Scott "man, I hope that didn't appear too insensitive" B. -
^ ^^^ ^^^^Ah yes, SoFla in August/Sept.....one thing I do not miss at all!!

No, but it does mark the first time Cedar Fair has willingly destroyed concrete. -

Was that the newly repainted Chang you drove by? And I agree with Nicole. It's always nice to see more than just coasters. -
People who simply can't fill out their profile information correctly. How difficult is it to put where you actually live, and how old you really are? Seriously, is it that tough? For instance, if you live outside the US, and your english grammar is a bit sketchy, wouldn't it serve you better to show that you were a foreigner? People would be more willing to cut you some slack that way, right? Is it just me, or is all this stuff rather annoying? Trying to be clever, like inserting "location: in front of my computer" is just lame, IMHO. Scott "SERENITY NOW!!!" B.

Coaster Mania - Cedar Point
BeemerBoy replied to gregster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well if you haven't been to Coastermania, then how much of an authority are you on the subject? ERT does generally mean shorter lines......at other events. We visited CoasterMania in '02 and '03, and I can honestly say that ERT didn't exactly translate into what I was expecting. ERT at CoasterMania (at least those two years) generally meant that you got maybe 1-2 extra rides on both MF and, um, Raptor, since TTD was closed for the event in its first year. Heck, I never waited less than a half hour for any of our MF rides. I have heard that it's better to plan on going to the park the day before the event, and then attending the event mostly for the Q&A (if you're into that stuff), the added picnic lunch, and a few extra rides during "ERT." -
^ Wow, a shot at Dollywood. That's definitely the first one of those I've seen. Heck, although a bit campy, I rather enjoyed Mystery Mine's build-up. I also liked Griffon's first teaser. I guess any teaser trailers are cool in my book. Cedar Point's '07 project has the most unique though....a hilarious 100 page thread on TPR.

^ Yeah, I've seen that place on the Travel Channel before. Cool to see it in a TR. I'm curious, has that carousel ever operated, or was it just constructed for looks? -
Photo TR: Whoring across Ohio!
BeemerBoy replied to CoasterFanatic's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
lol @ Pink Floyd stage designers. Great report Ted! I guess "scenic" Ohio provides a few more whoring opportunities than I imagined. Looks like a possible '07 CP trip may include a few more side credits. -
Although I disagree with you on the GA Cyclone (a bit too brutal for my taste), I'll add to this with The Voyage. I think it's a perfect example of fun "aggressiveness."
