^ Well, there's certainly no mistaking what the operator yelled. That's for sure. Thanks for the information. I'm glad someone could pretty much confirm a sighting outside of Florida. I'm not sure if that will help me any in the end, but I do appreciate the feedback! Scott "I always liked that whole War Eagle thing Auburn has" B.

Nice report, and great pics! You forgot one very important thing that you may have been unaware of: Hi Joe. Scott "always here to lend a helping hand" B. -
I'm sad to see it go as well. It was my first inversion credit, and holds some good memories. Like colin said, it's not exactly the death maching everyone makes it out to be. With a little understanding of how to ride, it still delivered a mild thrill for a what was always a definite walk-on credit. Heck, like Barry said, I can remember when it competed with Scorpion for best coaster in the park (I'm suddenly starting to feel old). Yeah, back in the early 80's when the line was two hours, and there was still a brewery in the park. This is one of those that is definitely expendable in the name of progress though. The real question is how did it survive as long as it has in a world class beemer park?

You did rate DBH fairly well, though, right? Trust us, don't rush to judgement based solely on what Gwazi did to you. The answer to "will I ever like other woodies?" lies in post-Gwazi GCIs. Scott "woodies never rated very high with me either until I went further north" B.

easytoremember said it best. Depending on how tight security measures are at the time of travel, this side trip may be literally impossible. I wish you the best, but I wouldn't put any money on you pulling this one off, unfortunately.

I saw 10 minutes of it once. Flavor of Love on VH1 now has a strong contender for the worst use of airtime on American television, IMHO. Scott "waiting to see what other nonsense will step up to the challenge" B.

I'm having a tough time believing that I could get my CCM bag in the passenger seat, yet alone anywhere else in that go-cart. And what good are 3 hockey bags if you have to open a window to fit a stick in the car. Scott "I won't believe any of these claims without solid evidence, your honor" B.

^ There ya go. That'll be the side bet. I got non-launched at 15/1, and launched at 1000/1 that it will stay open all summer. -
^ Yeah, I used to live about 2 minutes from that hotel, just over the bridge near the beach. That's why I was so amazed when you said you actually walked from Lauderdale! Come to think of it, I'm still amazed. Anyway, glad you enjoyed the DBH. In the end, it does lessen the pain a bit after a trek like that.

Okay, now the question should be: will it open on schedule? I'll set the line at 5/1 odds that it does open on time. -

You're right, it could be an Aqua Trax instead. -
^ Sounds like the perfect sitcom.

Hey, maybe it's an Aqua Trax. -
I finally saw it last Sunday. It definitely deserves two strong thumbs up. Growing up in SoFla, I was a HUGE Miami Vice fan from the begining, and I can't tell you how happy I was that this TV show-to-movie didn't get the Ben Stiller treatment. It was also very nice to see Michael Mann take the controls for the big screen version. If you go in looking for anything similiar to the TV show, you will be disappointed. Mann did a virtual 180, and decided to give it the dark, gritty, and very real look it deserved. Gone are the sweeping beautiful aerial views of South Beach, and glossed over look that made the country fall in love with the city of Miami in the mid-80's. The movie is a very accurate depiction of how things might really go down in this line of work. Don't take it from me though, director Michael Mann doesn't just show up and start shooting any of his movies. Months of preparation and research go into producing the most realistic look possible. Each actor became well versed in the role they would be portraying before the cameras even began rolling. And IMHO, that's what makes Mann's work as great as it is. For instance, he made Robert DeNiro and Val Kilmer takes months of training to prepare for an epic shootout scene in the movie Heat. The same plan was in place for Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell. They were made to follow real life agents for weeks in an attempt to get into character. And when it comes to authenticity, the locations chosen were spot on. I guess I could go on for awhile about this one, so instead I'll simply say that if you're a fan of any of Michael Mann's work, then this flick is a must see.

Can you do me a huge favor then? I need to know how the stock will do over the next two years. Thanks. Oh, and no pics of Mat Hoffman or Fabiola? What a rip.
