  1. At No Coaster Con, S&S said that a screamin' swing was being built in the dells, but they didn't know where... I was in the Dells with Director_Guy and even in the smaller wavepool at the wilderness, it was hard to stay above water in the 5 ft wavepool. I'm guessing that they won't allow tubes into the 9ft wavepool. If they do, then I'm sure that there'll be problems.
  2. The only way I know is by buying a coaster train from the manufacturer.
  3. She isn't cheating, she's just encouraging her fellow coaster enthusiasts to vote for her. I voted for you 10+ times, but I only watched the video once.
  4. The tire driven lift hill things look cool, but overall I think the ride looks tame. A tame coaster will be good for a mall setting.
  5. We were watching extreme coasters which is basically a lot of magic mountain and california park's coasters. They were interviewing people about Goliath (@ SFMM) and Robb was on there with his ace jean jacket with lots of patches. At first we didn't notice that it was you, because the movie is from 2002 I think.
  6. SFGAM- 35 minutes Dells- 3 hours Go Bananas- 10 minutes
  7. Yeah, we definately don't have that much to offer them. I'm just trying to figure out if we go up there with the usual huge group of people on a crowded july saturday or if we try and drive up there and back on a weekday from chicago. I got the whole idea, because Mt. Olympus called us at home to ask if we would be coming again next year with our group. So I was thinking that I could call them back and say that we weren't 100% sure if we could make it or not and then say that I have a coaster site and all that other fun stuff.
  8. I recommend the Disney parks, Islands of Adventure, and Busch Gardens the most. There are some smaller parks in the areas, but they aren't nearly as good as the ones I listed. I've been to Seaworld a few times and I didn't think much of it. If you're interested in sealife then I would recommend going for that, but the coasters there aren't much to rave about in my opinion.
  9. I was wondering how you went about asking Mt. Olympus for ERT on Hades?

    ACE

It's kind of funny that you bring up ACErs thinking that CP is the best park, because when I went to CP back in 2002 I hated it and didn't plan on going back until they got a few new coasters. And I know what you meen about people on message boards being "snobby" or acting like they know it all. Nobody's opinion is better then someone elses and when people argue about what someone thought of a coaster/ park it gets really annoying. The $65 yearly fee isn't too bad I guess, because you get some free magazines and newsletters with that and then you can get into events. I've only been to one official event (no coaster con) and two other non-official events (condor re-opening and HH construction tour).
  11. That's kind of funny that the old guy locked him in, because even though Six Flags Over Georgia isn't my homepark (I live in IL), both times that i've gone there (both trips a year apart) the old guy has been working on Georgia Scorcher.
  12. Well if you think about it, if they were to have it filled with soil, etc, then if the whole mountain collapsed, then all of the dirt and stuff from the mountain would slide right over the wall, because it will have already been filled with soil. But if there isn't anything there, then if the mountain collapses, all of the stuff fills up behind the wall and doesn't kill some innocent Tatsu riders. Now if the wall isn't strong enough to hold a landslide of Tatsu soil, then the people who just rode Tatsu and happen to be walking by are in trouble, because not only will they be buried alive in soil, but they'll have bricks on them too. I think the wall is a good idea overall. Hopefully they won't need it ever and it'll just be there as a precaution.
  13. My dad is 6'6" and we were told by a friend that is a park regular at PKI that the middle rows of each car have a little more leg room then the other rows, so we tried it in 1;2. Then we rode it in the back row and he had to squeeze in. After the ride was over he was stapled really badly and could barely get out. I think that the loop was cool, because it was the only looping woodie in the world, buy besides that it was stupid. If the ride wouldn't have been so painful because of those trains, I could see parks adding all sorts of prefabricated steel inversions to woodies just to take records and it would ruin the wooden experience.
  14. I think that a lot of people who have issues like coasters because it gets them away from there problems and it takes a lot of guts to ride them the way that we do. With that said, I like coasters because it takes my mind off things (even though I usually don't have much on my mind) and gives the awesome feelings of weightlessness and acceleration. I also met a lot of cool people riding coasters (my girlfriend too).
  15. I agree that they shouldn't build any more coasters for awhile and they should just focus on improving the park. I also think that they shouldn't turn into Geauga Lake and knock down a bunch of their coasters just because they want to focus on things besides coasters.
  16. I would count it as a credit, even though it has a very short coaster portion. If you think about it, some things count as credits, some don't, so overall even if you count a few extras, you still have missed a few in the process, so it sort of evens out in my opinion. I usually just count what coastercounter and coaster fanatics have as coasters, along with RCDB. Anyways, I think that this coaster will be sweet. I haven't been on Kentucky Rumbler yet, but I think that the two look similar, even though that they're done by different companies. Does anyone have a NL recreation or anything showing a POV of the ride?
  17. This coaster looks like it'll be a lot better than my original expectations. If my trip to Spain for next year works out, I'll be sure to write a TR.
  18. I don't know how to ask this without sounding like jerk, but what parts of Africa are dangerous for tourists to visit? Also, are either of the parks in Africa in bad areas? I doubt that I'll be going to Africa just tor ride coasters, but maybe if I get a job that brings me there then that will work... Also, great TR, the log ride looks like it has some good
  19. With the Cold Stone idea, they could be building a seperate stand for just Cold Stone at SFNE and at the other 5 parks, they'll just sell Cold Stone's ice cream in an already existing stand. They've done this for awhile at SFGAM, they sell some brand of ice cream in firehouse pizza while the main product that they sell is pizza.
  20. I can see why they would remove S;TE, but I still need those two credits!! I also think that this whole thing could be fake, considering that it's selling for so cheap.
  21. I think it's a cool idea besides that they're only gunna have vekoma coasters. They probably worked out a deal with vekoma, so I don't blame them on the financial end.
  22. There seem to be two side to the whole SF "family" retheming thing: 1.) You want SF incorporated to succeed and get excited when they announce/ make a big deal out of little improvements that aren't even noticed at other parks. 2.) You could care less about little improvements that SF makes, b/c every other park in the world makes these types of changes and nobody makes as big of a deal out of them than SF does.
  23. American Eagle (when trimless at bottom of helex) @sfgam Thunder Road Son of Beast Blue Streak Robin; The Chiller Manhattan Express (it wasn't rough when I went on it last year)
