Thunder Lakes - RCT2
dmaxsba2408 replied to dmaxsba2408's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I would think this in no more of a copyright infringement than any other item altered in the Object Editor. 99% of all so called user created objects from walls and roofs to altered base blocks are based of off in game objects so just about all of the content available for the game is a copyright infringement. These stall all have been altered by me and had their properties changed just like almost all of the custom content that is available. However with that said, if the management of this site does feel this download is in bad taste by all means remove it. The items will still come with the park when it is released as with all other exported content. -

Any chance this version will be released "as is" before the start of the new one? -
Thunder Lakes - RCT2

Hi again everyone, ever since I found non WW/TT versions of the rides I used in this park I have been wanting to switch them out. So over the last few days I have swapping out rides all over the park and finished up yesterday. Then It was on to the WW/TT stalls used in the park. Well I couldn't find any of them so I started working on converting them over myself. Now all the stalls are done and I have replaced them in the park. Next up will be trying to find versions of the scenery I used. If I can't get everything I need I will make converted versions of them myself or try to find suitable replacements. If anyone is interested I have included the stalls in a zip file attached to this post so you can put them in your parks. They have been tested and work fine. Since they are so theme specific I went ahead and made them all multi purpose stalls so you don't need to put in a un-themed Drinks (soda) stall next to your themed Neptune Sea Food stall and so on. I did not do the 2 tent style stalls in the game. If anyone wants those let me know and I will add them in. If you downloaded these stalls prior to 6/29/10 you need to do it again, a labeling error was made on one of them. SORRY FOR THE PROBLEM! Just a heads up, I don't think the videos posted in this thread are working any longer, or should I say I can't get them to work. If you want to see videos of this park visit my YouTube page. Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

I really hope CF is giving SOB just a few seasons off and waiting to see what happens with the Texas Giant. If that coaster can be saved so can this one, and they can put the loop back in. If disposing of the lumber used to build the coaster is so expensive (as stated in an earlier post) then you add in the cost of demolishing it and building something new in a few years I really think it should be cheaper to keep it and just re-track it. The bad PR can be overcame with clever advertising and word of mouth. -
Lands of Enchantment [RCT2]

Looking forward to seeing be better shot of the coaster, that second picture is really throwing me off, I can't tell what's going on with the scenry. Don't get me wrong, it looks great but it is confusing me. Rows of walls?, sides of buildings?, lots of nature intermixed with everything?, different land heights?... I just can't make sense of it. -
My old project [RCT2]
dmaxsba2408 replied to Fooz's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Very true that some members here are member there, but there are still allot of people here and there that are not members of both. So please keep the double site postings. Just like NE there are a lot of people here who would love to see what your up to in your park(s) but may never comment. Thread views mean more than posts. There so many people in these forums (and NE) that just never get the nerve up to comment. I love to see what's going on at NE been going there for many months now but have just recently started posting there. Think I'm up to huge total of 4 posts there at the moment. I did not notice this posted at NE so I am so happy you posted it here also or I would have missed it. -

Any plans to get back to work on it? or post it as an unfinished park? Those are some really inviting pictures. -
RCT2 Lost Objdata Help Thread
dmaxsba2408 replied to Stoksy's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^ ...at the moment I have 12,895 items in my objdata folder and I still can't get it to open. Good news is I still have over 1400 parks I have downloaded to open yet so everyday my data count goes up maybe when I get through them all I will be able to get it open. -
Even with all the clouds tying to make this park dreary it has to be the most colorful place I have ever seen.

That fence is interesting, haven't quite figured out what it's made of yet. Great job on those supports and the color choices on the little building. -
I agree with the comments that have been made. The only thing I can think of is if you make the shuttle loop longer put in an on ride photo before the loop the capture the g-forced faces of the guests. Really liked the park overview picture. Can really tell the difference in areas with that shot. The park is so colorful, then you have the dark hole that is Gotham. Well done!

RCT2 Downhill Breaking?
dmaxsba2408 replied to Retro_Gaga's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
If it definitely works on flat track it should work on slopped tracks as well. My experience with it just gave me no results that of course means nothing. I can't get toggle chain to work either when most others can. When it comes down to it just about anything is possible in RCT2. It is all is just a matter of figuring out a way around the games built in programs using a one or more different hacks to achieve the goal. When (or if) you get it working post a "How To" about it I am sure many players could find it useful including myself. -
RCT2 Downhill Breaking?
dmaxsba2408 replied to Retro_Gaga's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Wouldn't the backwards track cause the ride to error trap as soon as the train hit it? Tried to get a chain on the back spike of a Face Off type coaster once using the backward track idea. Once I was able to get the error trapper to go away when the train hit the chain and should have been lifted to the top. Instead it just ignored that the chain was there and reversed course just like it normally would. Was very disappointed. -

Really nice non CS park once again, seems to be a lot of these lately. Love the water features on the building in the 3rd picture and the use of Mine Scenery on the roof in one of the others. Both your junior steels coasters look great and the steel looping looks like a fun hillside ride as does the log flume. I like the mouse/mine coaster but it isn't very wild mouse-ish in the traditional way one should be. Doesn't matter though if you were not trying to make a tradishional one. It still looks good. -

^^ There is info for support removal on page 22 for a NCS park and info and a object download for CS park on page 21. ^ I have a Geauga Lake park. I have no idea who made it or how good it is, haven't gotten around to seeing it in game yet so sorry if it is junk. Also in the Objdata thread you were asking for some scenery items from Doctor Who (I think). Anyway I searched at the database for both doctor and who and came up with nothing that would match what your looking for. 's Wildwater Kingdom.SV6 -
Unamed Park [RCT2]
dmaxsba2408 replied to Zebra's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I think you should keep the maze and just change it to the wood look walls. Add in some empty spaces and put so scenery inside the maze, as for the rafts, definitely bring the land up to the ride. Those rides never look good when you see the supports. If bringing the land up will cause cliffs to happen because of other items around build in some retaining walls. Really liking the colors of these pictures. -
Unamed Park [RCT2]
dmaxsba2408 replied to Zebra's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I agree with both comments to a point, really liking what I see but at the same time the colors are bothering me. So with me being torn between liking what I see and not liking the colors, I should just shut up about how it looks now and see how it all turns out. This is trivial but I want to bring it up, I hope you take the time to do is figure out how long the water rides are and adjust how many rafts/boats they should have instead of just leaving in what the game allows. People always leave in to many. They need to be spaced out just like coasters need to have there times adjusted to match how long the ride is and how may trains are used. It's a simple math issue. Ride length divided by ride vehicles equals minimum wait time. Ride is 2min and 34sec long with 6 boats. 60+60+34=154 154/6=25.6 Minimum wait time should be 26sec (Full Load) Maximum wait time should be anything you want past 26sec (I unusually use 120sec). This formula works with every tracked ride. Keeps things running smoothly and spaced out realistic manner. Setting times on Flats keeps rides from running for no reason and causing them to break down faster. Sorry for the ramble, while my new ObjData folder is under construction, I have been downloading a lot a parks just to have a look around and one issue with most is the builder never takes the time to make the park run efficiently. -
