  1. I really like the maze/haunted house area. Good color choices there, what do you think about making the maze and the path/park area in front of the haunted house more interactive?
  2. That looks GREAT! One of the best NCS stations I think I have ever seen. Now stop slowly drifting away and get back to work! Please don't leave this park unfinished.
  3. Were you working on a Launched Lift Hill or testing/running a Cable Lift at the time? If so, ALWAYS save your game before doing either of the two items above. Both can cause unexpected error trappers. Launched Lift Hill example: so you built a launched lift hill and you decide you don't need it to launch as fast as it currently is so you go back and try to remove a few of the launch sections. If your not careful and hit the launched lift hill while building backwards it will error trap and close the game. Always build forwards when using a launched lift hill track peice. Cable Lift example: you built your hill and placed the cable lift at the top. Notice once you place the cable lift section that the look of the hill changes all the way back to the station completing the cable lifts course. If you go back and alter the lift hill, the section you altered will be different looking than the rest of the hill. The cables guides are missing! If you do not go back and replace the top of the cable lift so that the cable guides are put back on ALL sections of the lift the game will error trap. The best part is you never know when it will do it. It may error trap right away while testing or wait till you open the ride or worse yet, it will work just fine for several hours and then error trap. Always replace the top of a cable lift hill after altering the hill. As far as I know there has never been any "in game" coaster types that have had animations altered or new ones added to them. There have been many new coaster types made by people like AE, JA and others but they all are just re-skined versions of coaster animations that already existed. To get a new animation added to a track type would require the changing of the G1 dat file. In turn that would require anyone who wants that animation to build with or view a park with the new animation in it to also have the new G1 dat file installed.
  4. Always wanted to see someone winning one of those giant toys, usually see a few being hauled around the parks. He made that look so easy. Maybe I will give it a shot next time I am at Kings Island... who am I kidding it would cost me a $100 to make one in. Welcome to TPR and WAY-TO-GO using the ...and Other Randomness part of the Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness forum on your first post! A part of this forum that is sadly very underutilized by myself and just about everyone else.
  5. ^^ are we looking at a preview of next months micro entry? ...looks good no matter what it is or is trying to be. Do the animations exist in the game for a hyper-coater train to go vertical or is it going to do the surf down the hill kind of thing?
  6. ^, I have a question. In XP the system lets me pick what Windows version I run programs on all the way back to Windows95. Does Vista have the same options?, if so and you switched what version you run RCT2 with back to XP would that have any affect? What I am hoping for is if it's running in XP mode then maybe the screenshots would be placed back into where they should be instead of some weird hard to find locker. Meant to say this earlier, welcome to posting in the forums and am looking forward to seeing your work. Like your avatar, was surprised to see the ears were gone when I went to DCA a few weeks ago.
  7. ^ Why would running Vista cause them to go anywhere other than where they usually go? Then again Vista is one messed up system to try to run RCT2 on or at least it seems to be by all the questions/problems about it here. RCT2 by default puts them in the main RCT2 folder under Program Files. In my case running XP it's; My Computer Local Disk (C:) Program Files Infogrames Interactive RCT2
  8. For the most park I like what I see in this park so far, the entrance area is clean and simple but is does seem a bit repetitive. The coaster I like best right now would have to be Phoenix. It's layout is GREAT, a very nice change from the usual, it also reminds me of my Monkey See - Monkey Do coaster in one of my parks. Blue Comet is good but as mentioned before I also think it is over supported. I like the Beast, it's a nice little out and back but unfortunately it looks like you built yourself into a corner with it. I know it would be lot of work but I really feel it needs to be moved back a few squares so that small curve can be removed and leave a gap between it and the edge of the park. The power shot towers are nice, looking forward to seeing how you finish them off. I do have one question, why would you build another big coaster of the same type you already have?
  9. Sorry to go off topic of your new park but I have a question about the Six Flags park you posted. How did you get the boomerang coaster in that park to go all the way up the second hill like that? It goes all the way to the tip of the track just like the lift side does and travels backwards at just about the same speed as it did forwards. Whenever I make one of those (or the face/off kind) I can never get it to go all the way up the second hill and always goes much slower on the way back. Anyway it was a nice start to a park, can't wait to see the SFMM version.
  10. I have no idea what parks entrance that may be but it sure does look nice, as does all the other pictures on that page and going back a few pages. Everything looks fantastic.
  11. Sorry, didn't see your question. The park will be out very soon. Again, I can't tell you all enough how much I appreciate all your support for this project!
  12. I really like the scenery you used around the wooden coaster, very simple yet effective and it looks great. Now if you would take that approach to the rest of the park I think it would all look much better.
  13. So glad to see such a coaster put out. Side Frictions are so hard to build, well not really it's just hard to make one look nice. You have managed to take a very underappreciated coaster type and put it in the kind of positive light it should be. Well done! Great use of NCS also. Hope this inspires more players to add this coaster type into their parks. I have always loved how the lift chain sounds on this type of coaster. It has such a classic ting, ting sound to it. Best lift sound in the game if I was to pick one. For your next release could you please post a small park with the ride and all it's scenery sitting on it instead of just a TD6 (track) file? The reason I ask is that it would be much easier for everyone to just open a park to see your work rather than having to go into the editor and making a park just to view it.
  14. As always the park looks great and as always I am looking forward to seeing more. *dmaxsba hopes that nin's other parks are not left to die. He realy would like to see the Six Flags and Zoo parks completed.
  15. Hi again everyone, this time I have tried my hands at switching over a complex expantion pack item. It is the anamatronic space ranger. In order for me to relpace WW/TT items in the park I have to keep both packs running on my computer till they are all removed... so I need someone who is not running WW/TT at the moment to load this item into their basic RCT2 and see if it works. If this works it is game on and this should go rather quickly. If not it's back to the drawing board. Anyway, thanks to anyone who gives it a shot. SPACE01c.DAT
  16. ^ Page #9 I believe is where you can find the ParkDat tool. I suggest you make several backup copies of your park before you start playing with the ParkDat. It can really mess things up if you don't watch what your doing. Pay attention to the #'s and don't go over any limits. Copy the picture on that page to your computer or print it out. It has all the number information on it. Don't forget to download the object previewer on that page so you can see what items are in your objectdata folder. Be patient with it, it temperamental. You have to give time to load or it will freeze up, you will know when it's finished because a picture of the first object will show up on the right. The only other way to replace senery is to go back into the scenario editor with your current landscape. If most of your coasters are not hacked or had "0" clearance used on them to make a section of track fit, it is really simple to save your coasters and just place them back where they belong after your finished in the editor.
  17. Just got back a few days ago from our extended park trip and wanted to send you a huge thank you from myself, Alex and Sharon for all the fun we had on the party bus. Robb and Elissa, you two put together a great mini trip and also a big thanks to your crew, mainly the bitch twins and the that damn small penis JEW. Everyone was so helpful answering all our trip virgin questions. Look forward to the day I (we) can make it on a longer version.
  18. Great TR, some if nicest photos of KI I think I have ever seen.
  19. I know I posted about this park over at NE but I thought I would repeat my thoughts about here so quoting myself here are those thoughts... To add to what I said at NE, the only thing that brings this park down is that huge tower hotel and it's not the structure itself it's just it's location.
  20. ^ Did a search for this item at the RCT2 Object List site because I had never seen or heard of what your looking for and it is listed there but has no picture. Since no one here has posted it yet you might what to join up over at http://www.rct2objectlist.com/ and try your luck there. Hope your quest for it works out.
  21. I really liked this, it was so nice to see an old Arrow type coaster win "Design". Congratulations My only complaint is in the area of the transfer track. The coaster hits the brakes so hard and in my opinion is traveling way to fast in that area even after the brake slam. Hope this inspires more giant loop Arrow coaster in parks down the road.
  22. 100% agree! I really think you have all the skills needed to make this park into something better than what it is. You seem to have an eye for selecting the right scenery to use. The problem is the way your using it. For example with the hills added in the picture above it totally changed the way the coaster looks now if your take some time and change out all those castle towers and replace them with a castle it will bump this coaster up another notch. Scenery takes time to make and can really make or break a ride and sometimes a park. My only real advise for you is to slow down and think about ways to use the scenery ideas you already have and build off them to make each ride something special.
  23. That shipwreck and wall w/clouds area a few pages back is AMAZING!!!!!!! Really like the domes, well done. Water Coaster = Been gone for a few weeks happy to see you have released the older park, can't wait to get home and view it. EDIT:Tried to get the park open this evening and was stopped my a missing object... BRTSPKIL
  24. These types of issues usually only occur when double (or bigger) wide paths are used. 99% of the time it is fixable. I have seen lots of GREAT parks with guests stuck all over the place and ratings as low as "0". In a few hours I can have all the issues fixed and the rating back up over "700" usually "999" without changing how the park looks. If you would like I can take a look at it and fix a few areas for you and send it back so you can fix the rest. If interested please check mark "Export Plugins" in the games options tab and include any unusual custom rides and also please zip the park. deltzroth@woh.rr.com
