  1. ^ While I don't think it's really spam, it is definitely not cool! JK is a member of this site and has quite the following when he posts here with his projects, so why would he ask you to come here and ask for members of TPR to come to NE when he could do it himself? I highly suggest you read the TOS for this forum, #5 inparticular.
  2. Check your PM box, and let me know if it worked!
  3. CSS20.DAT = Martian Style (2:19 min.) I cannot for the life of me figure out how a music item is stopping your game from loading.
  4. So you are going with a Spider Man theme, would you like some Spider Man(s) and a few of his enemies to go with it? I have 2 different Spider Mans and Dr. Octo, Hob Goblin and Green Goblin. Might have a few other items around here somewhere? Will have to do a DAT search, over 17,000 file in my folder at the moment.
  5. In the first picture it almost looks like there are shrubs/trees inside the building. I would suggest using different land colors to set the buildings on (rock, or mud) to help define the space they occupy. The coaster turned out great, and I am on the fence with the carousel at the moment. You chose the double version and you cannot change it's color and it is very colorful as-is. So you would think the area needs to be colorful also, but then again it really can stand on it's own without any type of color surrounding it. Some clean grass and nice shrubs around it instead of tents and flowers might be the way to go. I am going to have to wait till I see what kinds of structures you place in the area before I really can say I am liking or not liking what you have already done.
  6. I liked the black section of track also, I think if you tone down the red with a less shinny color of red the black will work, as for the tress and such in the area I like those also but I would add in some pines. The water area looks perfect. Unfortunately it's really hard to say where would be the better place to put in the building you mentioned. Your just going to have to put some time in on it and try it in both spots and see what looks better. Off hand I would say the area around the cobra roll but really both areas would work.
  7. Thanks for sending the park. The only problem with the NE bench was the using of the "OWN ALL LAND" function on 8cars. Once you de-own boarder land the entry works just fine. As soon as you own all land again it messes up again. This function of 8cars has always been a hit or miss when it comes to parks. Sometimes it works without a problem and sometimes it doesn't. 99% of the time it really isn't needed, all you have to do is invert land ownership and make land alterations and build rides and then invert land ownership back. Problem solved just so long as you never put a path outside the parks boundary. Staff and guests will not cross the boundary while walking on a path, however they will cross if they are walking on a ride station or onto a flat ride placed outside the park, the key is to make sure the rides entrance and exit are both inside the park. If you go into my Thunder Lakes park and look at the Side Friction coaster you will notice part of the ride is outside the parks boundary while other parts are not. It works just fine. The easiest way to see what parts are where is to use the restore boundary fence and then remove the scenery. Stoksy, I sent the park back to you fixed and the path connected to your ride through the building with balloons in it. So anyway for those you out there who also use the Geewhzz Bench here is how you fix the guest entry issue. 1) There are 3 sections of path at the entrance area. Remove ONLY the one inside the invisible entrance! 2) Exit to 8cars and hit De-own Boarder Land and go back to the park. 3) Reattach the path inside the park and continue the path to where you want it go. 4) Open the park. The little guys & gals will start entering the park in a few minutes. I really like the layout of the coaster, however it does go a bit slow through the barrel roll, and there is not enough track at the end to realistically run 3 trains. There should be enough room on the track outside the station to hold the 2 extra trains. If there is a break down you don't want a train stuck at the mid-course brake run. Mid-course brake runs are only there for emergency stops and to slow trains down for the second part of the ride. They are not used as a storage area for trains at night or to hold a train full of guest until a problem in the station is fixed. As it is now you need to have the dispatch time set to a maximum wait time of 38 seconds to keep a train with guest on it from coming to a brief stop at the MCBR, if there were enough storage for the 2 trains outside the station the dispatch time could be set at a minimum of 42 seconds with a maximum of whatever you want it to be allowing extra time to get the trains full. The 42 came from dividing the number of trains (3) by the ride time (2m 7s). Oh, and where's my on-ride photo?
  8. That looks very nice, and cool story to go with it OK, went over to NE and the only Geewhzz Bench I could find was from 2008, its called Geewhzz_Bench_V1. Opened it up and put in a couple rides to see if the guests could get in... boy did they! They came in and made a mess of the place in less than fifteen minutes. Even had to put 2 of them in time out! *see picture below Anyway, the bench opened up to guests just fine, so you must have version I couldn't find, so if you could send me the bench your working with I will try to see if I can fix it, or just send the coaster. I will have it fixed or let you know I can't fix it in less than a day. Absolutely EVIL little monsters!
  9. Which NE bench is it? I will see if I can fix the guest issue and if so I can fix this also. Been messing around with a lot of map entrance issues lately with mixed success in resolving the problems with various parks.
  10. I agree, it does look very nice. I don't care for the block elevation on the second picture, but I think I see what your were trying to do. My suggestion would be to smooth some of the blocks out and keep others with edges showing. Mix it up a bit. From what I can tell the station looks great. Block-ish buildings are not always a bad thing, some look very nice. It's all in how you mix up the blocks. My only other suggestion is to not worry about your skills and go ahead and start your park. Your skills will get better during the building of the park, you can always go back and update previously done areas with the newer skills you learned working elsewhere in the park.
  11. While I agree that NL would be better suited for this type thing, I think RCT will work well enough, the game does have force readings available with graphs and so on, they may not be as realistic as NL but still very informative. Very nice looking coaster there Stoksy and a really good job on the supports so far. Happy to see you went with a standard cobra roll instead of the unrealistic flat section versions that are so prominent with large coaster like this. The only part I don't like is that little up section of track right before the first corkscrew. But this is RCT and that's just the way things go with games limited track choices.
  12. ^ Here's your park with all the custom rides removed. Export Plug-ins is still checked so the scenery will still load. Just wanted to say, I remember this park and I liked it the first time I saw it and I still do, you did a great job building a fun and interesting little park. I renamed the park so it does not conflict with the other by adding '_ncr' on the end of the title, meaning no custom rides. tivoli_gardens2_185_0_ncr.SV6 No Cutsom Ride Version.
  13. ^ Here ya go, export plug-in is now checked and I have included a zip file with the 6 non-exporting Harry Potter rides that were in the parks ride list. The were never used in the park but are still needed to open it. If you want I can remove the Harry Potter rides from the park, it will keep you from having this non-exporting ride issue in the future, if not you will always need to keep the HP rides in your objdata folder in order to open the park. Let me know and I will upload a HP free version of the park. tivoli_gardens2_185_0.sv6 Your park with export plug-ins checked. non-exporting rides.zip The Harry Potter Rides
  14. ^ If I am understanding your post correctly you just want a list of DAT names for all WW/TT items so you can find them on your computer and put them back with the game. Is that correct? I have all the WW/TT items separated by pack on my PC but it will take some time for me to type out all the DAT codes for each version, there are 712 WW items and 638 TT items. Copy and Paste will not work because it tries to copy not just the DAT name but also the file itself, so I have to do them one at a time. I can and will do it for you but I wonder if it would even work to just put the DAT's back in the objdata folder, don't you need the installer from the disc to allow the content to function? If you are just wanting a copy of all the DAT's I am sorry, that kind of thing is not going to happen here at TPR, it would be illegal. You can more than likely find both packs on eBay for less than 5 bucks and replace your lost discs.
  15. ^ If the coaster is hack free and by that I mean no clearance issues also, you can save it and it's scenry, then place it into any park you like at any time.
  16. I totally agree, save under different names also, like park(a). park(b), park© and so on. So you always have a version of your park saved at different stages so you have something to fall back on if something really bad happens, like an error trapper loop and by that I mean you built something in the park and saved your game. Well right after you saved it error traps and now every time you load it it error traps as soon as it opens before your can remove the cause. Your park is lost forever! Error trappers are RCT and RCT2 way of saying stop messing with me. I am not user friendly. The Drexler Patch solved most of the issues for RCT. No one has ever bothered to make a patch like that for RCT2. I wish I knew how to do stuff like that because whoever makes one will be the hero of RCT2 fans everywhere. Can you imagine how nice it would be to put cars that don't belong on a certain type of track and not have the ride breakdown every five seconds, or add a few extra cars to a coaster train and have it stay that way instead of always reverting back and so many other little things that were so common back in the days of RCT.
  17. ^^ the coaster looks fun, the only park I would change is at the end. I would use that long banked diagonal section to get up to station height and use the up area you have after the final turn to add in a longer brake run/transfer area. ^ good layout on that woodie, I like the angles of it.
  18. ^ Most likely it is an issue with the lift track, you need to remove the cable lift from the top of the hill and replace it. What is happening is that there is a section of cable lift track missing somewhere on the hill causing the game to error trap. When you remove a section of cable lift hill there is no way to replace it unless you re-build the top of the lift. When you do that the game replaces it automatically.
  19. Thanks for the compliment but I am sure you can do it also. As for the guests stuck at ride entrances, they will leave the line if you hit the construction buttons on the rides. Then they will leave the park. They really are not hurting anything though, so leave them be if you wish. Interesting use of a land section to make the inside corner of your building, never would have thought of that.
  20. Are those water slides that I see? Do they work? Going to sound stupid but I really like that white sign made out of wooden coaster supports.
  21. ^ that is does. You sir have a great story going here. Like how your putting up pictures of the building materials that in itself is time consuming. Well Done.
  22. Good choice with the Sky-way placement and using the Jungle Rafts around the island was also a good choice.
  23. If I understand your English correct your saying things in the park can be done better. < YES - very true! You altered (fixed) 3 items in the Medieval area of the park. < That sounds interesting, please put up some pictures. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I love playing around in others peoples parks and changing things that I think need fixed, it's so cool to me that someone is taking the time to do it with one of my parks. Makes me smile.
  24. Man I love that flying elephant ride, always have but for some reason I never use it. Well whatever is going in that little spot better be good or else! < you at my comment. < me at my comment. < everyone at TPR besides you and myself. Anyway, I am going to enjoy seeing how this park changes. It's always fun to see how a relatively new person to the game alters the way they play the game after working with it for a while. This is not only a time line type park but a skill line as-well.
  25. As always your posts leave me wanting more. *dmaxsba is still not happy with Six Flags taking over the park and would like to organize an protest sit-in at the parks main gate where we will all gather around Dolly Parton's boobs as if they were a campfire and sing songs about backwoods living and the proper way to run and develop a southern amusement park.
