  1. LMAO! Wes, your hilarious!
  2. Ehh, no offence but Stealth breaks down every 5 minutes, so the chance you where there that exact same day is pretty slim. On topic: Cobra @ Good old Walibi Belgium! I love Boomerangs!
  3. So what your actually saying is that people would get stuck all the time? ok, lol. Seriously though, i would ride ANY coaster in the world but i still wouldnt ride THAT! It looks way to dangerous, sliding thru a loop on your body, i would freak out if i got stuck!!!
  4. Nice TR! Looks like Oktoberfest is alot of fun! I'm hoping to get to Oktoberfest next year and ride Olympia and Eurostar to! Anybody know if and when these coasters pass thru Köln in 2007?
  5. A couple of times last winter during off-season i felt like i dindn't care for coasters anymore, but that never lasted long. I have only been a coaster enthousiasth for 2 years now and i hope i never get bored of it, its a great hobby, really something i can enjoy! (for example, you can't "ride" stamps ) I do understand people who get tired of their home parks, i'm also slowly starting to get tired of Walibi Belgium even thow its a great park (but i'll sure be there when the new coaster is finished!). If you really love coasters but are bored of them, just wait a (few) month(s) and you'll start wanting them back eventually.
  6. Thats how i used to count credits, but i changed my mind since most of the time every installation has its own small differences. Good idea thow, not counting clones. I still keep a count of the lay-outs but i focus on the "different installations" count. Maybe we should have a "how do you count" topic? Anyways sorry for the off-topic here.
  7. Here's a cool hard-to-get credit: this little park in Belgium called "Plopsa Coo" has recently been bought by a bigger company (Studio 100) and will next year be transformed and re-themed, to attract more guests for this year they temporarely added a Reverchon Spinning Mouse (from a Belgium showman). The coaster will only be there for a few months this season (i'm not sure if they removed it yet) and i got over there and got the credit! I wonder if any other coaster enthousiasth got this "rare" credit. Here's the RCDB link: www.rcdb.com/id3522.htm. Thats the only "lost coaster" credit i have so far.
  8. Wow nice pics, sio! I see you also went for the cose-up pic of the first drop, i must have tried that pic over 5 times, luckily i eventually got my shot. I found Black Mamba a rather hard coaster to take pictures of, but then again i might have just been a bit to obsessed with getting the perfect picture...
  9. Nice Pics! Phantasialand is a great park and Black Mamba is a great coaster! I can't say wether or not Black Mamba beats Nemesis since i haven't ridden Nemesis yet, but i can say for now that it probarly comes very close! And aside from the great theming this is also a pretty forceful B&M!
  10. Black Mamba - B&M goodness! The biting ride!
  11. Road Runner Railway (SF Great Adventure)
  12. OMG that vid was hilarious! Sorry Elissa...
  13. Yeah that was it, i watched the show alot this summer becouse there were like around 3 episodes or more with coasters or coaster enthousiasts.
  14. Maybe Silver Star's trims have something to do with the slower speeds?
  15. This coaster looks great and hopefully it will make this little park worth visiting again! This project looks like one of the best 2007 addittions along with Griffon, Maverick and Mistery Mine! Its strange that sometimes there are so many negative reactions to this coaster and to the other 2007 coasters (Griffon, Maverick). Why don't some people realize how great these coasters look? I'd go nuts if they would put anything like those coasters here in Belgium! GCI coasters (especially the ones with millenium flyer trains) are known to be very good, this is a high coaster + from the looks of it it will have a great first drop and lots of fun hills & turns, so all that plus the fact that its a GCI should make this a great coaster!
  16. I just remembered, there was this thing on TV this summer about an old lady who visits Plopsaland (a park in Belgium) almost every day becouse she likes the "feeling" of the park, she doens't ride anything she just enjoyes the mood. It was her ??-th birthday and the park threw her a special birthday party.
  17. There's these really weird people obsessed by riding all the coasters in the park including the kiddie coasters and talking about stuff like "beeanem" and "veekoma" or somthing...
  18. I never really liked El Condor, its way more rough then Vampire (WBB), and when running only one train the capacity really sucks. When i went this summer it was also closed for a short time, maybe becouse its a prototype SLC it tends to break down a bit more often then regular SLC's (although Vampire has had its share of break-downs to).
  19. Walibi Belgium's Boomerang (Cobra) provides a great view of the inside of Aqualibi (the indoor waterpark), its not an "OMG i can see my house from here" kind of view but i always enjoy watching those slides in action.
  20. Excactly, its a valid question but its just not clear what exactly he was asking, so its not necessarely a dumb question.
  21. The question here, assuming he is asking about the "dip" before the lift, is not a dumb question, its just poorly posed, so actually he should just have been more specific. Or be a Shuttle type coaster.
  22. My favorite is X:\ No Way Out at Thorpe, it probarly isn't the most intense dark coaster but it was fun and the fact that you're going backwards makes it more disorienting, it was also the only coaster that scared me ever since becoming an enthousiast (2 years), the whole idea of going backwards on an old Vekoma is frightening! , But is was fun. I think the best ones out there are the Space Mountains, i haven't ridden any of them but from hearing people talk about them and seeing pictures, i think they're probarly the best. I recently saw a documentary about Paris's Space Mountain and it looked a lot of fun!
  23. OMG I just have to visit dubai when this project is finished! An Aquatrax, Roller Soaker and a huge park like that, this thing is going in my must-do list!
  24. OMG i laught my ass off after reading that! But seriously, racism is a big problem, especially here in Europe where most immigrants are Arabs, and the terrorist attacks in various countries the last few years don't exactly make them look good. And to add to that, there are a lot of young Muslim criminals and Muslim racists here to, wich doesn't exactly improve the situation. I have no problems with the people who actually come here to try and have a better life, these are often nice and friendly people, but i do with the criminals that come here and make our neighbourhoods an unsafe environment.
  25. Awsome! I HAVE to visit that someday! If only it was finished a little earlier, 2011 is a long way from now.
