  1. Goudurix, it's one of the most beautiful coasters i've ever seen yet the roughest i've ever been on, you go down the first hil and it goes from shaking on the top to punching you in the ears at the bottom. Even when they added cushions to the headrests it still hurts like hell. Sooo beautiful yet sooo rough yet sooo beautiful yet sooo rough yet...
  2. I remember somebody asking this before in another thread, here it is: www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19660&highlight=tilt Seems like an interesting coaster, but only becouse of the tilt & vertical drop, the rest is just your average Vekoma "smooth-as-a-baby's-bottom" sitdown looper, i guess.
  3. When you come out of an water ride and your soaked and instead of going "wow i'm soaked!" you go "this was NOT a Dan-approved water ride!". When your really tired and your family's screaming at you to get off the computer and its 23:20 hours, but you ignore all of those things to one last time go and check the TPR Forum (and write this useless post) whilst you just went to the Forum less than half an hour ago... Okay, i'm talking about me, but its the first time i've been here so late...... I swear!
  4. ^ its an old thread from back when SD2K's future wasn't looking so good, back then there was a lot of rumors going around saying it would be scraped, someone must have responded to his thread and it ended up back with the newer topics, so it isn't actually a wild rumor, its just an old one someone brought back to scare you .
  5. Awww that sucks, another clone... Not that i'm not happy that Heide Park is getting a new coaster, its just that for some reason i'm not interested in this project anymore. I hope they at least theme it properly.
  6. Well thats sad, it seemed like a pretty decent park, if they close it i hope they relocate most of the coasters and don't scrape any of them, especially the rare Arrow Launch-Loop "Sidewinder". Hopefully the better ones of the 6 "maybe-to-be-put-on-sale" Six Flags parks stay in operations.
  7. Well, i know German schools start somewere in August and you're going on a monday so crowds will most likely be light to medium. There is no Fast Pass service that i know of, but you probarly won't need it anyways.
  8. Okay i'm interested, i would love to go on that trip! The only problem is i don't have the money and i won't be able to get enough money by then, so count me out... But be sure to tell me when you're doing something like this again later, i'll be sure to try and join you then!!! EDIT: Hey wrebbit, if you dont mind, maybe i can at least meet up with you guys at Walibi Belgium? PM me with the dates if the trip goes thru, ok?
  9. Great TR! And nice photo's! Gröna Lund looks great and so does Tusenfryd, Scandinavia sure has some nice coasters and i hope i can get up there soon, maybe even on the TPR Scandinavia trip!
  10. I was just gonna say that, i went there yesterday and it was running very smooth (for an SLC) and very fast, i rode it 4 times!!! An SLC!!! 4 times!!!
  11. Wow, theres some funny stories here, i know a few (probarly not as funny but still funny): Waiting in line for Tonnerre De Zeus (the CCI woodie) at Parc Asterix this french guy goes like "What?!?! this one doesn't have any "loops"???" i wanna go ride Goudurix (the Vekoma death machine). Yesterday at Walibi Belgium: you wait in line for Turbine while we go ride the "Six Flags" (goes to the log flume). I thought that was pretty funny.
  12. I've been on both Space Shot and Dalton and i must say Dalton Terror is better. Space Shot is fun with the launch but you only get a short burst of airtime at the top, Dalton Terror doesn't lauch but you get airtime all the way down (on Space Shot but much less). But they're both a lot of fun, so i guess it all depends if you like to be launched or if you rather hang in the air in exitement waiting to fall to the ground. (i prefer the latter)
  13. Mine was on Turbine, a Schwartzkopf Shuttle Loop in Walibi Belgium, i swear the launch and the loop are extremely forceful and the only reason i like an Intamin Hyper better is becouse Turbine was way to short.
  14. Well, that would make me verry happy but i don't see that happening, yes its true Walibi Belgium gets a lot more visitors, but it just doesn't have room for a coaster like Goliath plus they just put in a new coaster thats giving them enough trouble as it is... I'm sure Goliath is there to stay, i just think the next investment in Walibi World will be for kiddie rides, and thats good to becouse they need the extra guests to keep the park profitable and keep Goliath open .
  15. I loved Walibi World and i loved Goliath, but i think there are better parks out there, thow there proberly aren't many better coasters then Goliath out there... And about the visitor numbers: I went there a few weeks ago and crowds were very light, the only wait more than 10 minutes was El Condor (and thats becouse dumb people think more inversions means more fun), Goliath only had a 10 minute wait and was running one train (!), and remember: it was summer and schools were closed so i was expecting huge crowds. So yeah the park really doesn't get enough people with their current ride offer.
  16. I find it strange RCDB only sais 1 inversion, doesn't that weird spike count as an inversion? I mean you get inverted right? Anyway, the coaster looks fun, PAX's Wild Train Coasters are very good from what i've heard (ask: viking86) so hopefully this one's as good to...
  17. Yeah i saw that episode a few weeks ago, and i also saw Ultimate Flight instead of The Escape! I guess with all these Superman Coasters that National Geographic got them mixed up, but its still a stupid mistake, i mean S:UF totally doesn't look that fast...
  18. Great TR, i love to hear about this park and it looks great, unfotunately i havent visited it yet and won't soon. You seem to find many coasters rough, i've heard of Euromir being kind of rough but all the others i've heard to be smooth. Anyway i can't wait for the foto's, and thanks for the great report (of an equally great park)!
  19. If it is a Rita clone then thats just sad, a little creativety in designing wouldn't hurt, if it is just a clone i hope that the theming will at least change the experience of the ride, if so its not a total loss after all.
  20. ^the link doesn't work, i get "Das Thema dass Sie anschauen möchten existiert nicht oder ist für Sie nicht einsehbar" every time. You say it's a Rita-Clone, but that seems highly unlikely from what i've seen, those initial drawings (see first page) totally don't look like Rita, and okay maybe they've changed the design but why would they copy Rita? I mean they have a lot more space to put it in and no serious height restrictions, plus why would they change their original ideas, they look realistic enough to build.
  21. Okay that was kinda weird... i don't think i like it that much, besides they could of at least shown the COASTER Black Mamba, since that what's the song made for... At least it had those hot Black Mamba opening day girls in it, thow i don't get why the snake eats them and then puke's them back out... weird... Thanks for posting it thow, i have yet to ride the coaster but i will some time this summer.
  22. Awwww cr*p i was soooo looking forward to riding this thing like next week, and now... And it looked so much fun to, oh man...
  23. Hey i was there when Nemesis Inferno broke down on the 6th, I rode it twice in the morning and when i came back in the afternoon they had closed the ride and said it would re-open later but it never did! (lucky for me i had gotten the credit that morning!). Later on they closed X:/No Way Out and Tidal Wave to. And Stealth was closed the entire day to, but thats not so unusual... (Man, I had a bad day!) Luckely they never closed Colossus so the day wasn't a total loss!
  24. Wow i didn't know a Boomerang pulled 5,2 G's! The strongest forces on a Boomerang i ever expirienced were in the front seat when going backwards thru the loop, on the top of the loop you get pushed into your seat, but i thougt i'd be like 4 G's or something. Anyway, this actually makes me love Boomerangs, unfotunately the front rows are the most popular with the gereral people. The Typhoon at Bobbejaanland has a maximum of 5 G's, the most intense part is the first drop into the loop and the loop itself so thats probaly were you get the 5 G's. www.rcdb.com/id2229.htm I don't think there are many coasters going over 5 G's, but i guess its no trouble if their not sustained...
