  1. I'd count an alpine coaster, but not an alpine slide.
  2. I'm re-playing Mass Effect 1 right now, as renegade Fem-Shep, the opposite of my first playthrough.
  3. I like the park index, with a linked forum topic for discussion. That way the comments aren't interspersed throughout the trip report. The forum format is fine, though, as long as there's an index at the top of the first post.
  4. King's Island - Drop Zone Cedar Point - Millennium Force SFOG - Goliath Dollywood - Thunderhead Holiday World - The Voyage Six Flags St. Louis - Mr. Freeze
  5. 30 degrees, although I would have liked it to be 180 DEGREES!!!
  6. So this new "ride" just opened in Chicago. Apparently it costs $5, which is actually less than I was expecting. I think it looks pretty cool. Since it both tilts you forward (like a Smooth Criminal) and dangles you over the edge of a balcony, I would have called it "The Michael Jackson Thrill Ride." Unfortunately, the name was already taken.
  7. The train lights look really awesome, but does anybody else think the on-board headlights might detract a bit from the out-of-control experience of riding at night?
  8. The pacing on this ride looks great and that airtime...
  9. Pleasant surprise: Boss at SFSTL I didn't know anything about the layout before riding, so I was surprised by the sheer size of some of the drops, and that double down at the beginning was totally unexpected. It's a great ride in the back seat, if you can tolerate the roughness. Pleasant surprise #2: Space Mountain at Disney World. I was expecting a tame little kiddie coaster, but I was surprised by the amount of airtime I got in the back seat. The last drop REALLY took me by surprise, with headchoppers that came out of nowhere in the pitch blackness and a drop that felt like it went on forever, even though it was probably only like 20 ft. lol Unpleasant surprise: The Beast at King's Island I was really not impressed at all. I'd heard such great things about the ride, but to me it just felt like a large mine train with long, drawn out sections and very little airtime.
  10. My prediction is that some park will want to build the world's first wooden vertical drop some time in 2016-2017, and RMC will be the one to do it. Then launched woodies will follow soon after. (At least that's my dream )
  11. When they asked for the Skydiver's signature on the marriage license, she just rubbed some bearing grease onto the paper. Now let's see if she tries to file a joint tax return with her new spouse. At something like $3-$5 per ride, I'd imagine it makes a pretty decent salary.
  12. I call dibs on the inverted stall.
  13. Reminds me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHlPcvJnM6E Also that Skydiver in the picture... looks safe; I'd totally still ride it.
  14. Umm, I'm not giving him my information. lol
  15. ^Lolwut? Why does that book even exist?
  16. All the rides at Opryland (most of which I never even got to ride)
  17. Holiday World is long overdue for a new coaster.
  18. There's always that one teenage girl who attempts to "flirt" with the ride operator by asking dumb questions like "Does this ride go upside down?" and "Is this ride scary?" even though she can clearly see the entire track from the queue. Of course, she never actually waits in the queue, because she can just tell everyone in line that her friend is waiting for her up ahead. Then she proceeds to put on her duckface and waddle on past the 2-hour wait up to the station, leaving a thick orange cloud in her wake as the wind blows away her spray-tan. ...Yeah, you know the one
  19. *drool* I want to live in that station. lol
  20. Either Kentucky Kingdom or Dollywood.
  21. I've always wanted to go on a zipline with no restraints or harnesses of any kind. Sounds awesome
  22. Kentucky Kingdom is probably the least photogenic park I've visited, but it still holds a special place in my heart for being the park that got me into riding roller coasters. I hope they're able to get Twisted Twins back up and running, oh and T2 (which I honestly didn't think was that bad when I rode it in the very back seat).
  23. I read "Waikiki Wipeout," and thought they were bringing back Quake. lol
