Best Looking Park From A Distance
exzantia replied to RollerC's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cedar Point, nothing else comes close to matching it. You see the park long before you arrive, all that steel just dominates the view, it's amazing. -
Top Thrill Dragster
exzantia replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well seems as it's been bumped I was actually laughing like crazy when I got on TTD, I think I was just happy I fit (may have had an embarrassing MF incident earlier). It's a good ride, but to be honest I'd take Magnum XL-200 over it any day. -
http://www.bluefirecruises.com.au/ - Failed validation, 133 errors. http://www.bluefiregrill.com.au/ - Failed validation, 178 errors. Fixing the errors seems like a good place to start. I was using Strick HTML 4.01. Removing the absolute horror of table, tr & td tags in favour of CSS would also be great. The javascript can also take a hike. The colors are very, ick, but I guess their logo will have you tied down to them to some extent. In general I'd remove the clutter from it, they are layed out in a very slopy fashion at the moment. The cruises site doesn't look terrible, it could be salvaged, the gille site looks like a bad menu designed in MS Word, kill it. Whatever you decide to do, best of luck with it.

What was the Last Sporting Event you Attended
exzantia replied to LOVE SFKK's topic in Random, Random, Random
Unless the sprint to a parks best ride counts as a sporting event, I have never been to one. Yeah, yeah, I'm werid. -
Sweet delicious Coke-Cola. *drools a little* Used to have 2+ liters a day. I have had to bad myself from it (and all the other sodas) in some form of a half-a$$ed attempt to get a little healthier (and Intamin seat-belt compliant!).

Doug all the way! And now the theme tune is stuck in my head, great...

They would be Tiger Woods and Michael Schumacher. Am I the only one who finds these 'wages' sickening? Maybe it's just the jealousy talking.

ARGH! Child Proof Caps on medicine jars/bottles. When one is sick, one usually isn't very strong, how in the hell do they expect me to open them!! *whinges*

1. I <3 Knott's Berry Farm! 2. I have problems managing anger. 3. I usually suck at making new friends. 4. I travelled over 5,000 miles to work at USH in 2005 (best job ever). 5. I am 3/4 of the way through my software engineering degree (being a total Apple fanboi).

*WHINGE* $599, they will have me in the poor house!

Any park operator would be brave to take on Magic-less Mountain. It's in dire need of a massive overhaul. It needs to a huge scale back, less roller coasters (just loose the crap ones), more flat rides, staff that are out of diapers and a big injection of anti-apathy medicine. MM is the park that makes you want to hate Six Flags, Great Adventure is their saving grace, concentrate on it. Perhaps using some of the wads of cash from selling the other parks.

Roaster Coaster A-GO-GO!
exzantia replied to speedracer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I wouldn't go on that thing if my life depended on it (what would be the point, it would just kill me). I wonder what the rider:vomit ratio is. -
USH's Back to the Future opened in June '93, two years after Orlando's. USJ's opened in 2001 and such I can see it being around for a lot longer. They are pretty much the same ride, but as far as my bones and head are concerned the USH version is quite a bit smoother than the older Orlando ride. The buildings are very different (I prefere Hollywood's, but then again I'm very biased towards the park). I am sorry to see the ride go, but not very sorry. It has a lot of problems, horrific loading times, uncomfortable motion, the franchise isn't anything close to what it used to be (not to many kids are big BTTF fans anymore) and of course it's less than graceful aging. I will miss the ride, and I will be highly irritated if it's replacement isn't a damn good one.

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
exzantia replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Gwazi (Lion), Busch Gardens Africa, about 10 days ago. -
^ Again! You people are awully hard on Knott's! Living in Ireland I don't have a home park (ignore RCDB). So I'll take the one that's easiest for me to get to, Blackpool Pleasure Beach & Wild Mouse, it would have been the Grand National, but apparently that's runined now(I'm almost afraid to go on it).

What Are Your "Coaster Goals" For 2007?
exzantia replied to jappi's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Somehow, I have never been on an SLC, so I need to go try out Blackpool's new/second hand one Ignoring that, my goals are the same as they always are, visit more parks this year than I did last year -
Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"
exzantia replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
God you people are very hard on Knott's Worst ending is The Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, the whole thing is slow and boring, but they really went all out to make the ending awful. Best ending has to go to either Magnum for it's totally insane airtime (lets just ignore the bit into the station), or Blackpool's Wild Mouse, never ever have I had so much fun (and pain) just going around two corners. -
Okay so it wasn't technically a ride, but I worked on Shrek 4D in Universal Studios Hollywood for the summer in 2005. It was (depressingly enough) the best job I ever had. Hell if my college course fails (or if I fail it) I know what I am going to end up doing We didn't have to do much in the way of 'operations', just smile lots, try to be super nice and run the thing as efficiently as possible. Usually meant shoving 450+ people into every show and getting at least four shows an hour. Well I'm sure none of that helps, but I like to reminisce Barry "want's his old job back" Flannery.

:'( Really, I was hoping they wouldn't make such an impact. It was/is one of my favourite roller coasters. Didn't get to ride the last time I was in Blackpool, they were testing the new trains and didn't seem to be interested in having me as test subject. Anyway, most runined roller coaster I have ever set foot on was Revolution. It was horrible to ride it, I wish I hadn't. If I had the money I'd buy MM and re-fab it back to it's old glory.

Wearing glasses on a coaster
exzantia replied to jbuck's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My glasses went on everything in Cedar Point bar TTD and they stayed on just fine. Of course I can see pretty well without them, if I depended on them to any degree I'd probably not take the chance. -
Sadly I meant from Monday through to the new year Epic levels you say... hmmm... may need to get front of line passes... Thanks
