  1. Actually Stengel does pretty much everything from checking for design errors, making improvement to designing the complete coaster.
  2. ^ I thought penis/sexual conversations where what TPR was all about... I'm pretty sure that's the first limit Robb removed when he opened this forum.
  3. I've been there once. It's one of the best zoo's I've ever been to. I just wouldn't advice sitting in the back row of the parrot show.
  4. ^ You obviously don't understand the problems with the Muslims in Europe. I know most Muslims are honnest people that just want to improve their lives, but there are also a lot of criminals here who are just running from the law. This isn't just something Europeans think, but something even the honnest muslims agree on. An other problem is that the more radical Muslims feel that they must do everything possible to convert europeans to their religion. In Belgium we even have a political party that wants to make Arabic an official language. These people want to take over this country and that is something we can't allow. And the biggest problem (mostly to the Muslims themselves) is that the good, honnest Muslims don't show themselves in public much. This way is seems all Muslims are radicals and criminals, and the recent terrorist attacks didn't really help improve their image either. I am not saying I hate Muslims, but I'm just showing how a few rotten apples can make their entire religion look bad.
  5. ^^ One of the regular ops of the ride in WW is an enthusiast and he likes to opperate it manualy. His rides are much more intense than the normal setting.
  6. I just got home from school and my mom was zapping. Suddenly I saw an ad for a cool new movie about an attack on the WTC. It really was a shock when I realised it wasn't a movie.
  7. Today the Belgian police held raids in several military bases and arrested several members from a group called "blood & honour". This is a group of neo-nazi's who were involved in illegal weapon sales and other criminal activities. The police also found evidence b&h was planning terrorist attacks in Belgium. Finally, someting good that happens over here!
  8. Worst cakewalk ever! Hey look, a Vekoma in the bushes! Why does he have to take the exact same picture? I know that tower! (To bad it isn't a Gyrodrop ) First drop from devil's Mine again... EGF is better! End of the line! Some people take pics with branches in the foreground, but I had to try something more original. 5 PM, time to go home. The entrance to Fort Fun. The entrance to Fort Fun with flowers in the foreground! The end!
  9. Long qeue's for the food stalls! Those supports are so cool! Now that hurts! To want ride this, you have got to be completely screwed up! Just an other hungry guest. They did a really bad job trying to hide this. BTW, did I mention how high the Alpine Coaster was? The view from the top of the hill. But we're still not on the highest point of the park! Happy trails! To bad it was stuck! This is where Danny got scared. Still not bad for someone who's afraid of heights! This is what Danny looks like from the top of the tower. Nice view! Just a little clouded. And I'm still IN that park! Going down. At least the ride opp on Dark Raver was wearing a costume! To bad the theming sucks... Time to ride the good ride again! Worst darkride ever!
  10. A friend and I went to Fort Fun on sunday. Fort Fun is a small park located in a valley. Because of that it's not verry wide, but is is pretty long. Besides the bottom of the valley, they also use one slope for an Alpine coaster, a SkyGlider and a chairlift and on top of the hill there is also an Observation tower. This year Fort Fun Also opened a "new" ride. Dark Raver is the Roundup that was in its sister park, Avonturenpark Hellendoorn, until last year. Besides moving it, they also added a building, light effects and onride music. The building and the lights don't ad much to the ride, but the atmosphere set by the music, a kind of African drums/hardcore remix, is pretty good. The park also has 3 rollercoasters: Wirbelwind, a VeCOMA () Whirlwind, Marienkäferbahn, a Zierer Tivoli Large and Devil's Mine, a Vekoma Costum Junior coaster that thinks it's an Intamin! And now the photo's: Danny was driving... Really slow... Flash test. Nope, this one isn't sensitive to it. Here he is. The Dark Raver! The Flume is pretty long as well. I believe I can fly... What's that hiding in the trees? WOW! Still going up... And now the Vekoma in horror theme! First drop! I didn't know they had Vekoma's back than! This room isn't exactly level. (I think...) Look who's dead now... Is he screaming cause he's being electrocuted or because he's tied down below a Vekoma? (Click here for the video.) The park also had a few ugly spots. (I'm talking about Danny, the building was meant to look like that. ) Oops! Thirsty anyone? This is what happens if you suddenly hold the cam over your shoulder and push the button. Just chillin' in the West.
  11. ^There isn't just one of them. They can be found all over the world by now, even in the US. Here is a link to the builder's website: http://www.wiegandslide.com/alpine-coaster-bobs.html There is also a reference list on it with the location of all their instalations. I rode the one in Fort Fun, Germany last year. It was fun, but I still prefer the regular tobogan slides. About the video: Those girls have got to be complete morons to crash into the other car. These things only need about 4 feet to come to a complete stop.
  12. Part two Schwarzkopf by night! Althou the theming made up for that. To bad the ride wasn't that good. It's an indoor KMG Move It. Out of Space had a really cool "gate". I really doubt this one can go any faster than it already does! I really enjoyed that ride! A hint: If the opp askes if you want to go again, yell "Nein". As a punishment, he might let you have the extra rounds at an ever higher speed than normal! The "Herr der Lufte" was there as well!
  13. Yesterday I went to the Cranger kirmis. The main reason I went was because the Olympia Looping was there, but since I was there anyway I rode a few other rides as wel. ADMIN NOTE: After checking out Wishmaster's awesome photos, download the POV Video of Olympia Looping in the members only section: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21986 An other great ride. I just skipt it because of the long qeue. and a yellow one. a green one... a red one... a blue one... A black one... Olympia Loopings! And then there were loopings! It spins really fast and keeps you hanging upside down for a long time. What more do people want? Vortex is a great ride. I just wonder why there were so few people on it.
  14. Happy Birthday Mary! I hope to see you again sometime.
  15. Artist: Lordi Album: The Arockalypse Price: Don't know, don't care. Number of tracks: 12 Rating: 3.5 Album art
  16. I prefer gothic rock, but since it's not in this poll, and I also listen to most other kinds of metal, I voted on heavy metal.
  17. First name: Geert: Low German and Dutch form of GERHARD > Gerhard: German, Dutch and Swedish form of GERARD > Gerard: Derived from the Germanic element ger "spear" combined with hard "brave, hardy". Middle name: Jan: Form of JOHANNES. > Johannes: Ancient Latin form of Ioannes (see JOHN). > John: English form of Iohannes, which was the Latin form of the Greek name Ιωαννης (Ioannes), itself derived from the Hebrew name יוֹחָנָן (Yochanan) meaning "YAHWEH is gracious"
  18. A few months ago the German band Se:Side made a song for Black Mamba, the new B&M inverted in Phantasialand. Now they also made a video for that song. The video itself looks pretty amateuristic, but the good part about it is that it is shot completely in Phantasialand itself. Don't expect to see any of the rides. Not that there aren't any in it, but you probably won't recognize them if you don't know what they look like. The video can be viewed here: http://www.music-lounges.de/seside/video_kamboleo_cut_04_00_high.php
  19. I don't think it's meant to have thrill. I think it's more like a rollercoaster version of Sourin'.
  20. Happy birthday Tom. Sorry I'm so late with my reply but I haven't had access to a computer the last two weeks.
  21. They don't even know themselfs. It all depends on how crowded it is. No, but you don't need them anyway. The rides have a really huge capacity. It is always busy in EP. Some qeues may even get up to 30 minutes.
  22. ^^ And when did you visit Alton Towers and Phantasialand? I don't mean this in a bad way, but I think you should see both of them in real life before you say which one is best. On pictures they are very different from the real thing.
  23. ^ This is the best pic I could find. The wheel is behind the trees in the center of the pic. copyright: ThemeparkVision They don't use the wheel anymore because it breaks down often and it is to difficult to evacuate people from it. It doesn't need new parts, it was just a bad design to start with. The wheel itself isn't that special. It's just like any other Feris Wheel. If you like to know what the drop is like you should visit Phantasialand. They have a similar ride but with a vertical lift instead of a wheel.
