  1. I personally think they are both excellent choices. I respect both members.
  2. I not looking forward to riding this ride, persay. The subs have long waits provide a rather claustraphobic expirence. However, I am glad that the subs are coming back. The Subs, Monorail, Autopia, and the Peoplemover all contribute to a kinetic energy which resonate(ed)s throughout Tomorrowland. Reestablishing that energy in necessary to revitializing Tomorrowland. Not to mention, the ride is simply another thing to do in the park. Also, it may not be an original ride, or an original ride system, but its a nice size for a "filler ride", and should hold me off until Disneyland gets a new e-ticket---whenever that is. -Jahan
  3. Mmmm.....steakhouse beef dip......mmmmmm. -Jahan "Quiznos" Makanvand
  4. Sorry man! Goliath was really pre-coaster enthusiast for me! If you can change, I suggest covering SFMM's 2001 additions. Twisted Rails has a great archive of the construction of Goliath Jr., Dejavu, and X, which can be found here. Or you can cover the construction of Scream, here. But still, I know nothing of Goliath. Sorry I couldn't be of greater help -Jahan "Just practicing my 'But I know what you can do' skills!" Makanvand
  5. Wow--thats very interesting. You know, I personally think that it wont take this raven turn the same way it takes X's raven turn. The strange shaping and sudden fluctuation of the 3rd and 4th rails leads me to believe you may flip at the top or something. No clue, just an idea. -Jahan
  6. X's is really annoying! And B:TR's actually has station music now (, again)! -Jahan P.S. I gotta agree with you on the totally sweet CalScreamin music though.
  7. Perhaps I am the wrong person to ask, but, of course! -Jahan
  8. I admit folks. I didn't mean to watch the video. I was pressured into it by my peers. More specifically, Mr. Six told me to see it. He said "Come on, man. Its cool. Everyones watching it." I was nearly weeping when I watched it. Lol...I only checked out the video, as it will be years before I can ever get on this thing. Might as well see what its like, as it wouldn't be ruining my expirence. I forgot what I did in school today--I'm pretty sure I'll forget the details of this ride. -Jahan "I forget my last name" Ma.......hmmm.
  9. Rollermonkey. Is it weird for me to say I love you for these updates. Thanks for the pics! Is that an inverted lift? -Jahan "No, you dont need a restraining order " Makanvand
  10. The ride is enjoyable, but was depressing when I knew it was all I could get on and that I wasn't able to actually go into the park. -Jahan
  11. ABC News: http://abcnews.go.com/Business/story?id=1536674&page=1 Yup...its kinda like that. I'm a bit sketchy on it, but then again, I know nothing about business! All I know is that I am guarenteed more Pixar films, so I am cautiously pleased. -Jahan
  12. This is the first video I saw, and I'm ok with the ride. The ride seems to suffer a bit from "not knowing what it wants to be", if you know what I mean. Part of it wants to be a ride big on story, like Splash, Indy, etc. And the other part of it wants to be big on expirence/ride, like Big Thunder or the Matterhorn--therefore, it has trouble identifying with either style. And it just isn't long enough to establish "a league of its own". Lol...but I am definitely still looking forward to it.
  13. I usually shout "hell yea!"s, or "wooohooo!"s on rides, rather than screams, but I dont really mind it, so as its not just done to be "funny".
  14. You party pooper. Lol...eh--its an interesting fact, and its the offseason. So as far as i'm concerned, party on Garth.
  15. Na--I can tell that it isn't directly a mirrored-clone of X. Look at the "lift" supports--the footers are consistent up the drop--there is no truss, like on X. That means that the brake run and transfer wont be under the lift. In fact, you can see that the brakes turn away from the lift. Also, the "turn-around" goes all the way around the station/lift--there's track on both sides of the lift. On X, the course stays to the left of the lift. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if the element order was similar to that of X's.
  16. Awesome TR! Looks like you had a great time! Although, that's all that you did, eh? Thats cool... -Jahan P.S. Your gonna love that 6-CD set. --I know, I have it too.
  17. Na Twister--I like it too. But you gotta admit, its bumpy. And to me, its only fun when you're with your friends. I too think that Viper is better in the back. It feels as if it was designed around the back. Also, you get cool g-force effects in the loops! I forget the last time I was at Mooseburger. Is it worth the cost? This was a great TR! I agreed with you on a lot of your ride-commentary. Thanks for postin', Jahan
  18. Yea--the NL competition we just hosted on Coasterforce was to "reinvent the boomerang", thus causing me to have to find pictures of essentially EVERY boomerang! Lol...so I saw that one a couple months ago. Pretty crazy, and while some people don't like the look, I actually do.
  19. ^ There are houses practically across the street from the DLR. Probably, assuming Google Earth is correct, about a 1/3rd of a mile away from Maliboomer. Aparently they were getting complaints from their neighbors that the screams were audible all through the night. So, they installed those sheilds, which essentially absorb/deflect your scream. Listen--you honestly can't hear any screams--even when IN the park. BTW...I don't believe that those green 1/2 tunnels on Screamin are scream sheilds--They are simply there to "block" Anaheim out of the ride.
  20. ^What scream tubes? Looks like you had a fun day! I so wanna go back there. Yes...even DCA.
  21. ^The idea is to force them to stay inside, thus, they are always around your sources of revenue.
  22. ^ I have no evidence of this, but I believe that the trians on Powderkeg are an adaptation from their, never made it to existance, inverted-wild mouse on drugs. I think that was called the Bat, too. Any idea of this?
  23. Vekoma. But why would I say that! There is nothing about me that would hint that I show any care or appreciation towards Arrow! That's for sure! -Jahan
  24. I was talking to a few friends--aparently they knew he was coming for weeks! They said that they cleaned up all of their stations, game areas--they were freaking to put on a good show for him! Which tells me two things. 1) If he still complained after they put on a show like that, then there really is some problems with the park (we already knew that)! 2) That bums me out that his meeting was announced--he didn't get to see how really crappy the park was...he only saw a bit of the crap that leaked through their show. I always read about how Walt Disney would go out into Disneyland with glasses, a hat, and a trenchcoat, to make sure everything is alright, and that he seems like a normal guest, and so they dont try to impress him. I wish this dude would do the same. And I dont know if has been said or not, but I was speaking with someone who works in foods, and attended the meeting. He claims that the guy didn't just speak of bringing in sponsors--He said that he wanted to completely replace SFMM food service with outside vendors--get food off their backs. Has anyone else heard this? -Jahan "11 dollar cheeseburger" Makanvand. P.S. Supposivly the Papa John's team has already inspected the Pizza vendor in front of Batman, in order to get an idea of how they will set up shop.
  25. Thanks for voting for me guys! I really appreciate it! And thanks to R&E for stagin the comp. And a big congrats to Loopy, too! ....*sigh* ...at least because I got first, I didn't "waste" my initial idea of actually making a Roller Coaster II. -Jahan
