^^^^Did you learn that from Al Lutz...err, I mean your imagineering friend? I don't think there is a ride in the entire history of amusement parks that can say it has been open all the time and/or had all of its effects working. That's just what happens when you cycle things every 30 seconds for 10+ hours a day.

So a gay guy makes a comment on what he thinks about pride festivals, and Joe makes a joke...and their ignorant? But saying, "you guys aren't 21, you obviously don't know anything about Mardi Gras" isn't? I won't even comment on how 2/3 of your post really has nothing to do with pride festivals and is just a very loosely connected tangent, but that seems to be OK, yet a simple joke a site with a disclaimer about having a sense of humor isn't OK (or a comment on topic that you don't agree with for that matter)... Keep on partying like a rhinestone cowboy and enjoying Pride festivals. If you think it's fun, great! But realize that just by the nature of those events, not everyone is going to think the same way about them. Just lighten up dude. Don't get upset when someone else doesn't share the same interests or opinions as you... (this is why you can't talk about religion, politics, or sexual orientation on a message board)

^Oddly enough, SFMM's is probably the most modern of the group! They may have done a horrible job, but in the early 90's they actually upgraded all the electronics on the ride.

Disney did this for the same reason you can't wear costumes to any "Haunt" events: they don't want the guests confusing the other guest as an official park character. Doesn't seem far-fetched to me...

^Exactly. And plenty of streets have different names in different directions. Even theme park streets! Universal Hollywood Drive is Campo De Caheunga Way in the other direction. Although I think just "Auto Center Parkway" is a better name for the street if they are going to change it...

^^^Psycho isn't a world famous movie from a world famous director that defined the horror genre for ages or anything like that. Nope, it's just an old movie that is boring by today's standards because there isn't enough death or effects.

1. 351 acres?!?! The entire property is only 415... 2. Downsizing? They will actually be expanding the lot...and the theme park by at least 80,000sqft (which as screamscape is pointing out...is not very much, but it's something), noted in the plans that the Amplitheater may be removed to accomodate further growth of the "entertainment (read: theme park) area," and the studio tour would be revitalized again... 3. Los Angeles may have plenty of houses (and plenty more under construction), but there are not very many developments that are positioned in the heart of a key employment area (Universal/Burbank/etc=production central!) next to a transit hub (the metro station). Just look at how Downtown LA is being revitalized. Better public transportation+jobs=booming condo/loft market for an area that previously no one really wanted to live in... I suggest everyone freaking out take a visit to www.ucvision.com and realize that this plan is far from final. They have to present it now to be ready for the expansion over the next 25 years, instead of waiting till it is too late to get the permits/fights with public/etc. out of the way. So relax. Wait until they actually start bulldozing those sets before you freak out.

Just ride in the front at night. And take plenty of pictures in the station. Then it'll be an awesome ride.

^^I just downloaded the blueprints for a 10,000sqft mansion to be built right in the middle of Disney World. It's totally going to be the house for next years TPR "real world" trip.
