  1. Well, at least now we know why there's nothing going on:
  2. Remember...they have secret business deals happening behind the scenes that they are not at liberty to discuss because that's how business works. Or something like that.
  3. He was the top rated Junior College QB and received a "5 star" ranking from the major recruiting sites. I suppose it is all just a coincidence he wanted to go to MSU with his former OC, but his dad chose Auburn for him right around the time his church received a donation large enough to fund renovations in order to stay open...
  4. Cam Newton=Reggie Bush 2.0 -Shady person trying to cash in on star athletes talent? Check. -Father mysteriously coming up with a nice building he couldn't previously afford? Check. -All sorts of denials while the NCAA "investigates?" Check. All that is missing is the Yahoo investigative report, which is surely underway as I am typing this. And will probably be published right around the Heisman ceremony or his bowl game to drum up maximum exposure.
  5. This article is a little old (2004), but I get the feeling that this probably has something to do with it... http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20040626/news_1n26bpark.html I'm sure it will be settled soon now that it has been brought out into the public. Both sides have too much to lose.
  6. As someone who has worked Halloween events at theme parks for many years, there seems to be a strange phenomenon that all people getting kicked out are NEVER guilty. No one is ever smoking an illegal substance (despite being seen doing so), no one is ever visibly intoxicated (they've only had a few), and no one ever hits a monster (despite being caught on video and/or positively ID'd by that monster). Weird. The bottom line is simple: You were on private property. They have every right to ask you to leave if they felt it was necessary. I highly doubt you will get anything back from them.
  7. ^I'd really like to check out HKDL for Halloween. They were the first ones to do Ghost Galaxy, AND they have those houses! Sounds awesome! As for what halloween events I hit this year.. -Knott's Halloween Haunt x2 -USH Halloween Horror Nights -Queen Mary Dark Harbor -LA Haunted Hayride -Forbidden Haunt (independent haunt in Sherman Oaks)
  8. Just take the 5. It's Sunday morning and not a Holiday. No reason for it to be congested unless there is an accident or construction.
  9. "You're my new BFF"---Piers @ Howl at the Moon. Best. Wingman. Ever.
  10. ^^6,700 is probably the amount of tickets sold.
  11. Am I the only one who thought of the Institute of Future Technology when reading about this latest marketing campaign?
  12. I wonder what would happen if someone snuck on to the property and injured themselves on her ride? I doubt she's thought about (or could even afford) insurance for that matter...
  13. BTW, the New Zealand dude who paid for the ride has now dropped out of the project: That didn't take long...
  14. It would be fairly difficult for there to be a collision with only one train...
  15. It's not going to happen because USC is going to win a shootout vs. Oregon in two weeks.
  16. I would actually hate to go over that hill without trims. Dodonpa was painful enough.
  17. You can rent a car if you are under 25. Just have to pay a little bit more.
  18. What about the games against opponents like McNeese State, Louisiana Monroe, Georgia State, Arkansas State, Chattanooga, and Appalachian State? Playing crappy non-conference games rightfully cost Auburn a shot at the BCS title game... I've said it before, and I'll say it again: ultimately every conference is built in the same way. There are a couple of traditional powerhouses that always hang around the top and rarely experience down years, a couple of second tier teams that usually hang around the bottom of the top 25 and occasionally do better, a couple of 3rd tier teams that surprise about once every 5 years, and then there is the bottom of the conferences that are never good. Although I totally agree that Ohio State will find a way to choke if they do make it to the BCS title game...
  19. The exact wording was "...I was told this is not going to be like the Spiderman ride at Universal Studio." That's FAR from a confirmation of anything.
  20. That was part of the Terror Tram in previous years. A little mini sheet maze. The neighbors complained (there are houses in the hills behind that area) about the noise, so it is no longer on the path.
  21. That's actually not true. They still have to do all their manufacturer required inspections/maintenance, otherwise the ride won't be allowed to open when it finally is ready.
  22. So he wasn't involved with Cypress Gardens or Freestyle Music Park? It was just his company?
  23. ^I have to walk through Main Street to get to Toontown...
  24. We've all had our fun with this...I think it is best if we all just move on. Acknowledging anything anyone chooses to do or say only adds more fuel to the fire. And just for the record, whether or not anyone chooses to believe it, the whole point of the parody was to point out how amateur the save the big dipper effort comes off as. I am sure many TPR members would gladly support the cause if the "project directors" would be willing to address the concerns we have here and did not leave themselves open to such jokes. TPR is the #1 theme park website in the world, so you would think someone from the project would want to post on here instead of referring to us as "villains." Believe it or not, they would actually be welcomed here if they presented a solid plan that made sense. In fact, I would argue that most of the ridicule comes from the fact that they chose to write off TPR instead of addressing us.
