  1. Fun TPR. One question: why no pics of Ghost Rider or California Screamin?
  2. I wonder if a gyro tower would fit, though? I'm assuming they'll be placing it so that the highest part of the tower goes up to one of the "higher" parts of the roof, and a whole gyro tower carriage wouldn't fit. You can see what I mean in this pic: http://www.rcdb.com/ig2508.htm?picture=17 I think an S&S tower would fit better, and I really don't think it matters that Valleyfair has one, as well. A fun ride is a fun ride, know what I mean?
  3. Hey, this made me want to go back to Vegas even more! Thanks for posting.
  4. Ach du schiesse! That would be awesome. Too bad it's long gone by now. Yes, that would make the afternoon break during lessons go by a little quicker! (By the way, i'm hoping Kim Clijsters will win the Australian Open.)
  5. That's too bad. The clips I saw of it looked really cool, (and not just because of the boobies and stuff. hehe.) Then again, I just noticed that you're probably about a year short of being allowed into a place like that anyways. Well, now you'll have something else to look forward to for the next visit besides the new Universal park!
  6. It's funny I should come across your PTR because I just finished watching a 5 part television documentary about the new "Crazy Horse" Cabaret in Singapore. The original Crazy Horse is one of the famous topless show bars in Paris, (like the real Moulin Rouge). They have high class dancing shows with mostly nekked woman... but it's not trashy at all, it's very arty and beautiful, (I mean, of course the girls are all hot as hell, but anyways). Do you happen see the show at the Singapore Crazy Horse?
  7. Thanks for reviving this thread and posting the pics. Looks like they'll be throwing this thing up lickety split!
  8. Well, there are of course exceptions to the rule! I was there last year and yes, the shows are VERY good. The talent is amazing and the concepts and everything are great. However, in comparison, the shows at Disneyland Paris are horrrrrrrible. Ever been?
  9. Being an ex-theme park performer myself, it's always nice to see that there are people interested in the live shows at parks. That's one thing I really miss about the big parks now a days: it seems like the quality of the live shows has gone down drastically within the last 10 years or so. Anyone else agree?
  10. OMG This pic is from the DCA part of the Christmas party weekend: And this pic is from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Something looks strangely familier here, but I can't quite put my finger on it...
  11. Thanks for the pictures. You made me consider getting down to Paris and DLP again. I haven't been there since the Studios opened. The castle looks so pretty! I also miss the fantastic Space Mountain, (even if it doesn't have the cool soundtrack anymore).
  12. "See guys, it wasn't so hard getting that bunion ripped off Robb's big toe afterall.... and, it's rich in nutrients that my growing baby needs!"
  13. I'm so confused. I'm a season pass holder to Heide Park, and I check TPR and Screamscape almost every day, yet last night was the first time I heard anything about this coaster! How did this slip past me??? Anyways. I'm excited about Heide park getting Germany's first rocket coaster, and the themeing looks interesting... even if it is a Rita clone.
  14. Good point! My guess is that Valleyfair probably has to build a huge concrete base for the entire part of this ride outside of the floodwall, which is basically on riverbed type land that often floods in the spring. Other than that, I can't think of what would make it so expensive in comparison. Ja, and don't worry about Renegade being possibly "bad". I mean, by looking at a picture of the Knoebel's Phoenix, for instance, you have absolutely no idea how awesome the ride is because it just looks kind of "meh". Renegade could turn out to be the hit coaster of 2007, who knows? I think we should all wait until we ride it until we start reviewing it.
  15. Thanks for the lengthy reply! I've already found a way to produce the small "show" I've been imagining. It will be presented to 12 people at a time in a dark room underneath the theater that I work in next to the huge machinery that makes up the airconditioning system. They will be made to wear headphones to "drone out the noise of the machines". If everything goes as planned, it should turn out really cool. I'll post the finished product as an mp3 when it's all finished, although any spoken text will be in German so it might not really appeal to everyone here.
  16. If you search Youtube for Riverview Park, you can find some clips of a great documentary about the park, including lots of Bobs footage.
  17. oh my gosh you guys. Compare these photos: Is Soeren pregnant, too???
  18. Thanks, but that's not really what I'm looking for.
  19. Hi TPReviewers. I'm looking for sound engineers or Imagineers or whoever who have experience recording with Binaural technology, or anyone who perhaps has a copy of the original recording for Alien Encounter, (send me a PM if you don't want to admit to that here ) Here's the reason: I'm producing a private Halloween event and I wanted to create a short "audio presentation" about the power of imagination, and that sometimes we force ourselves to believe in things that we know cannot be possible because the fear somehow gives us a kick. Does anyone know of any sort of "binaural haunted house recordings" that exist, or would anyone be willing to produce one for me? (I have a budget, meaning I'm looking to have it professionaly produced). I did a google search, and didn't find much of what I'm looking for. Lots of normal stereo sound effects, but nothing binaural.
  20. Wow, I didn't think that any parks here in Germany were open past dark! The latest Heide Park here in northern Germany stays open is 8:00.
  21. Thanks for the PTR of this somewhat out of the way park. Oh, and happy birthday! One question: is Miribilandia easy to get to with public transportation from Venice?
  22. I'm so jealous! Thanks for posting the play by play. Like I said, I'm obsessed with this ride.
  23. Wow, I honestly didn't know you could make coasters that were that realistic with Knex. The other ones I've seen look like toys, but this one looks more like a scale model.... almost.
  24. I think you mean BANDIT and not RAPTOR. We were there the day before they started running the backwards train. They had posters announcing it everywhere, and the extra train was already backwards on the transfer track. I can imagine the helix being reeeally nausiating going backwards!
  25. Great photos of TDL and TDS! I mean, TDS is so beautiful that a blind toddler could take great pictures of it, but your's are seriously nice to look at I was there this time last year and took tons of video footage, which I then lost in a computer crash while transfering data, so looking at your pics has brought back lots of nice memories. What did you think of White Canyon at Yomiuriland? It's heavily debated. I thought it was a ton of fun and, yes, rough, but fun rough.
