Photo TR: Defunct Mountain Park
MrMorgan replied to Token Yankee Guy's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
thanks for the cool pics. isn't it wierd visiting defunct parks like that? i had the chance to visit idora when the jackrabbit and most of the wildcat were still standing, and it was so creepy! it's also sad to see everything just falling apart. -
manhattan express. at least i'm in vegas... would you rather only be able to sing instead of talk? or only be able to skip instead of walk? (consider singing your way through a job interview, or, skipping away from a dangerous situation.)

thanks! i searched and searched for a cast list and found nothing. i think it's kind of strange that none of the cirque du soleil shows list their cast on the official websight. those poor artists get no recognition!

hi. is there anyone out there who has seen KA and has a program with a cast list in it? i'm asking because i saw a promotional video for the show recently, and i'm pretty sure i recognized 2 performers that i've worked with in the past. their names are alvin tam and christian durocher. if anyone has a program, can you look and tell me if they're listed? thanks!

Hey everyone. I was checking out this link http://www.mousetimes.com/pictorials/displayimage.php?album=38&pos=59 and had to laugh at the terrible grammar. I mean, I had to read it a few times to understand what the heck it meant! In case the webmaster graduates from 6th grade within the next few days and corrects it, this is what it said at the time of my posting: "Now it the pictures won’t go in order since I rode it 3 times having it brake down on my second time around. Which since it’s a test I think they did on purposes to test the CM on evacuating the ride. " Maybe we should start a thread for "Worst Grammar In A Sentence"?

verrrry interesting. lots of speculation, though, and lots of "alleged" and "insiders say". that always makes me suspicious. any time i read a story where it says "insiders say....", that basically means who ever wrote it made that part up.

i'm an actor, (swing), and the assistant dance captain in the hamburg production of "mamma mia!", the musical. i'm an original cast member and have been part of this show for over 3 years now. as swing, i am responsible to know several different roles and be ready to jump onstage in a moments notice in case someone get's sick or hurt. my duties as assistant dance captain include rehearsing with new cast members to teach them the choreography and blocking, some scheduling, and very often dealing with hurt egos and diva complexes. www.mamma-mia.com

hi elissa, (and everyone else). i found a funny video clip that i know you'll like. here's the link: http://www.muchosucko.com/video-atwinenginemr2.html WARNING! although the video itself is not R rated, this sight seems to have only R rated advertising, so if you're too young or will be offended, don't click.

POV of Timber Falls' Avalanche!
MrMorgan replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
i loved this ride, too. after looking at pictures of it, i though "how lame. it only has left turns.", but OMG, it is so insane and SO MUCH FUN! i rode it with my little sister about 10 times in the course of an hour and we just laughed and laughed and laughed. she's not an enthusiast, but she was amazed by the air time and said that for most of the ride her butt is not touching the seat. on about the 3rd ride, she starting yelling "not touching" on the top of every hill. it was hilarious. i have some onride footage and some altogether fun footage of our little trip there which will definitely make it into my video for the next TPR video contest. oh, and about it being too short. with the crazy way that ride is paced, do you think you could take much more of it? it has so many laterals and we laughed so much, it was like doing 100 sit ups every ride. -
Backyard Rides

that looked so great! too bad he had to tear it down. the article says that, even though it was only being built for his personal use, he didn't register it with the "building department", and when they found out about it, he was forced to tear it down for fear it was unsafe. geez, you'd think he lived in america, or something. hehehe -
Lincoln Park (Comet) Discussion Thread
MrMorgan replied to Canobie Fan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
awesome. i've always thought the comet looked like a great figure-8 twister style coaster, ala coney island cyclone, (especially with the turn over the first drop heading back to the station). has anyone ever seen a video of it anywhere? if so, please post the link. -

Backyard Rides
MrMorgan replied to Angry_Gumball's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
hey, does anyone remember or have the link to that backyard woodie that that kid was building someplace here in germany? it was like 30 feet tall and the shape of the first drop looked very "millenium force" like. anyone know what i'm talking about? -
ah! i watched this yesterday and thought it was so cute. however, today i can't get the link to work. anyone know if it's on a different sight/server, or did anyone download it?

got my dvds a few days ago. thanks! i wasn't expecting that. oh, and yes robb, i just LOVE the first song on the new dvd. who was that written by? i don't think i've ever heard it before... must be some new group. can anyone tell me who that is or where the song came from, like if it's a cover version or something? teetle hehe. looking forward to watching the rest of the clips over the next few days. thanks again, and can't WAIT for the next video contest. you will not be disappointed, master jedi.

i thought it was fun. it almost rides like a smooth woody. the first drop past the hotel and into the tunnel is cool, and then the final helix inside the fake mountain and around the log flume is great and suprisingly fast. it's been 2 or 3 years since i rode it, but i remember liking it. also, you board inside the air conditioned hotel and the lift exits the hotel through the roof. i remember being overcome by the intense nevada heat as we exited the hotel. it was like riding a coaster into a sauna! the "park" itself is strange, though. when i was there, it was empty. i mean, we were practically the only 2 on every train or every log or every car of everything, and all the employees were russian or georgian, or something. not that that matters, it was just a strange atmosphere. by the way, i have the same calendar.

you guys are all so creative! i'm laughing. hey smallish, is that a picture of minnehaha falls in minneapolis? -
don't worry everybody, we're not talking about you. hahaha. captain, feel free to get in touch whenever you want. oh, and by the way, i was on a private trip, not the ECC trip. bis dezember!

that looks great. what a mystery. is it just me, or does this look kind of like expedition everest without the fake mountain around it?

i could definitely do a mini trip report, but i don't have many pix because i mostly made video, which will be skillfully edited together and set to music. are you interested in hosting a video or two? i'll post some pix when i get them from joe. i'm sure there'll be some funny stuff. we always have a good time together. he's the guy from my "best movie ever" video in munich and kopenhagen.

hey. just got back from my trip a few days ago. it was AWESOME!!! thanks for all your help and advice. we had a blast. the only disappointment of the trip was RAGING SPIRITS. it's just as lame, if not lamer, as indi in paris. imo, it's like a boring looping galaxy and will always suck, no matter what themeing they build around it. and i have to disagree with you guys on a few points. 1st) i loved fujiyama! the last stretch to the station throws you around so much. thank gawd there's no ots restraints, right? we loved it. 2nd) white canyon at yomuriland: loved it! it was rough, but it was like "traditional woodie" rough. i was just in the dells a few months ago and found zeuss to be WAY rougher than white canyon. one unfortunate thing is the wierd-ass trains that they always load from the front so you can't sit in the back. it was really empty, so we never made it further back than the 5th seat. we even tried flirting with the ride attendants, but they were strict. haha. just kidding. anyways. i would rather ride that again than regina. i found the roughness on regina more of a problem than white canyon.
