My old Spacewarp set pics
MrMorgan replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow, looking at your pictures brought back lots of memories for me! I used to make some crazy creations with my spacewarp, too. My biggest complaint was that you couldn't make realistic recreations with the kit because the marbles don't act like huge 5 ton coaster trains. As far as I know, my kit is still sitting in the storage room at my mom's house back in MN. -
That is awesome. I've always thought it would be cool to crawl around the tracks of a coaster, (but then I touched some coaster tracks once here in Germany as they were assembling the "Olympia Looping" and realised they're all greasy and paint chippy and actually not nice to have your hands on at all...)

I would love to get one of those and give it to my (female) boss for a joke. Think that'd go over well?

I heard about this storm already today because i'm a big fan of the WTA, (womens' tennis), and the tour is in Dubai right now. Play was suspended all day long. That's bad.

I guess they're less popular than I thought.

Please do. I've been always been very curious about that ride, too. It's one of my favorite dark rides.

TPR's 3rd Annual Coaster Video Contest
MrMorgan replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
YAY!!! I've been waiting... You won't be disappointed. -
Hey, April 16th is my birthday! Anyways. I've never been to Joyland, but I've often thought that these small traditional parks are way more fun the the major parks. It would be a pity to see Joyland bulldozed for apartments, but I guess it makes sense from the business side of things. Oh well. What can we do?

After endless hours of searching for a bday present for my dad, I came across these ecosphere things. My dad has everything he'll ever need, very few hobbies, and doesn't listen to much music, which somehow makes it diffucult to find christmas and bday presents for him. Anyways, I thought he might like this so I ordered him one before really thinking about it. Anyone who has one care to tell a little about it? They seem cool to me.

Very retro TR: Opryland!
MrMorgan replied to USRoadTripper's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Awesome old pics! That's definitely one sad thing about the closing of Opryland: no more "get your picture taken as a dulcimer" cut outs. The world needs more of those. hehehe -
Wow, that was fast! Thanks. I guess I can understand what people mean. It does kind of ruin the illusion, doesn't it? Of course, if you can't see it from inside the park, that's a plus, but if you've already seen it from outside the park, I can imagine it would kind of stick in your head. Well, whatever. Thanks for posting.

I've read a lot of complaints about the unfinished backside of Expedition Everest and now I'm really curious as to what it really looks like. Does anyone have a pic they can post? However, if looking at the unfinished butt of EE is going to be full of spoilers, then nevermind, I don't want to see it. Oh, and by the way, I DID try to search for it first and got 248 threads, some of them with over 50 pages! I then thought it might be easier to just start a new thread specifically for this pic, or pics.

American Adventure Park UK Complaint
MrMorgan replied to CherylStarUK's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well, it's not really fair if you only show the mails that the park sent you and not what you sent them! Do you still have them? Please post them if you do. -
Hades [RCT3]

the pic looks great. -
hello from germany. if you're flying into cologne, then you HAVE to go to phantasialand! it's right outside of cologne, it's a cute little park with some very unique rides and coasters, and they are opening the fantastic looking "black mamba" this summer. also close by is "movie park". heide park and europa park are way far apart from each other, and both in opposite directions of cologne. they're both good parks, too. (i would have to say actually that europa park is one of the best non-disney resort destination theme parks in the world). anyways. for a one week trip that's not too hectic, my advice would be do either phantasialand, movie park, holiday park, and europa park or phantasialand, movie park, heide park, and hansa park that way you can have travel days in between and really enjoy the parks. just my two cents.

Looking for Alpengeist layout photos
MrMorgan replied to ECZenith's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
hey. can anyone point out to me on that overhead picture where drachenfyre used to be? i was there in 94, but i can't remember. i'm assuming it's that somewhat empty looking field directly across the river from big bad wolf. is that correct? -
pardon me, but am i the only person here who doesn't want to know anything more about expedition everest before i actually ride it??? all these videos and trip reports and descriptions that are popping up are no fun, if you ask me. it's like telling someone, "dude, you have to go see the movie 'the 6th sense' cuz bruce willis's character is actually dead throughout the whole movie, even though you only find out in the end." now, before i get flamed, i don't mean people should stop posting their videos, and i know that i don't have to watch them. i'm just asking out of curiosity: am i the only person who wants to be suprised by my first ride and wishes there wasn't so much temptation to spoil it all by watching a video of it?

Tokyo Disney Resort Discussion Thread
MrMorgan replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
OH NO! the castle tour was so cool!!! why would they close it? i'm glad i saw it, too. -
that's the problem. i just can't decide which video i would enter into the contest, and which ones to post here. if i only had one video, it would be much easier, but i have like 9 done at the moment. i'll see what i can dig up...
-
hi R and E. first of all, GREAT! i really really want to up load some of my videos. HOWEVER, there is a complication: will there be a TPR video contest this year? if so, then i'm not uploading anything because i'm afraid it will ruin my chances with the voting if everyone's seen my stuff already. know what i mean? please clarify and suggest. thanks, morgan

thanks everyone! it's great to have a bunch of other people supporting my snack food binging i wish they had single serving bags here in germany, but i can't even find them at walmart.

ok, this is really random, but that's why there's a forum topic called "random, random, random", and if people can make a post saying they're in dire need of help because they can't decide which color gamecube to buy... then i can make a post to ask the following question: is it bad to eat an entire bag of microwave popcorn in one sitting? i'm 31 years old, in really good shape, and have a very physical job. still, there's something in me that says "morgan, that's quite a lot of popcorn. maybe you should take it easy." the problem is, it just tastes so damn good, and if i don't finish the bag all at once, i end up throwing the rest away a few days later, and that's wasteful. i'm counting on you, the themeparkreview forum readers to help me with this dire dilemna!
