Terry, can you please point out the location of said Stacy in the photo. I don't know who she is. I'm assuming she's in the bottom right side of the pic in the sweat-shirt jacket. -

because legolands's hookers have std's while the hookers at Thrope Park have free beer. welll that's what I'd like to think is the reason. One of the best posts ever... although someone needs to read the post about spell-checking and using proper grammer whenever possible -

"The castle turns into a mood ring once the sun sets. " Hilarious. If you rub it to make it warm, does it change colors again? -

Wow! Really cool to see this stuff. It looks like a lot of money is spent on themeing, but not a lot spend on the actual rides. Some of the coasters and slides and stuff looked so run down, but the themeing around them was awesome. Thanks for posting! -

Philrad, Your comments about why there are no extra seatbelts, stapling, etc are SPOT ON! You've got the right idea about the European attitude of "Well, did you think to LOOK to see if the train was coming?" or "Did you not know that if you stand up on a logflume, you might fall out?" Great trip report, and funny captions, (especially about the long haired blue Santa Garcia JC Superstar figure). And, if you miss Oktoberfest, you can always check out my 2 part "Unofficial Guide to Oktoberfest": Part Eins: Part Zwei: Enjoy! (Note to monitors: I'm not sure what the policy is about posting links to Youtube at the moment here on the TPR forums. I DID try to post them at Coastertube, but the sight is apparently down now?) -

Shock of all shockers, I just sent in a deposit for the Europe Trip! Here's hoping that the stars and planets stay aligned to actually allow me to join the trip. It seems reeeally far away at this point... I'm really excited about visiting Miribilandia. Was there about 15 years ago and the park was closed because it had rained in the morning! Seriously, I was there at the gate with lots of other people and the only explanation the gave was "Sorry, because it was raining, we thought no one would come." Nice. Also excited about Ringracer, (if it's open), and maybe, but just MAYBE working my way up to an official membership in the Flamingos. -
I'm so glad I read this report! I've been wanting to head over to the Spreepark sight since I moved to Berlin a few years ago. This gives me a good reason, (no more worries about breaking and entering). And I totally agree with: Unfortunately, Halloween is not a big tradition in Germany. I've lived here for over 11 years and it's one of the American traditions that I miss the most. I've never even been to a "park haunt", (like Fright Nights or HHN). Somehow, I missed that whole trend before I moved, and it didn't really blossom until the last 6 or 7 years, I would say. ANYWAYS, this would be a PERFECT place for a haunt! Maybe I'll head over there today and talk some sense into the owner... Thanks again for the info, video, and pics!

Oooh, I remember the Bullet! Thanks for posting this vid, Robb! This ride was really insane. the g-forces in the front and back car were out of control. Check out how high the front car is in relation to the top of the loop when it hits the spike on the "way out", then imagine the speed it actually has going thru the loop in relation!?! This would be a great back yard coaster. Someone with a big back yard, (and cheap access to electricity), should make Flamingoland an offer!

Robb & Elissa's Transatlantic Cruise!
MrMorgan replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Oh man, why would anyone do that to themselves???!? I'm just like Elissa and that would have made me totally fricken sick. Props to Elissa for getting the credit anyways. No me gusta! -
A friend of mine just let me know he saw a news story about R'n'R being on fire at DLP Studios today! Apparently they were doing some work on the roof and the building caught fire, causing them to evacuate the entire building as well as the surrounding buildings. I found this article: http://www.spiegel.de/reise/aktuell/0,1518,616995,00.html which confirms all that. Neither report mentions that anyone was injured, or how much damage has been done. Anyone know anything more?

We were at Cypress Gardens 2 weekends ago, (all the way from Germany), and the f-cking Starliner was down all day for "maintanance". Couldn't they have worked on maintaning it during the week, when the park was closed? I was ueber disappointed, (and that coming from someone who lives in the land that invented ueber). We did get Triple Hurricane in, though. Anyways, out of frustration, we decided to drive down to Busch Gardens, where we ended up having a great time and totally forgot about Cypress Gardens. Funny side note. By some freak incident of gravity, my man's sunglasses flew off on Fiesta Express at Cypress Gardens. I'm not kidding. We couldn't figure out how it could possibly happen, but it did.

Theme Park Review's 2008 Asia Tour!
MrMorgan replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I totally know what you mean about monotonous. I really enjoyed Balder, but after riding it a few times, I was like "OK, this is a lot of fun, but it's just the same thing over and over. Turn, fly, fly, turn, fly fly, turn, fly fly, turn...". That's not to say I'm criticizing anyone who puts it at the top of their list, It's just missing a few things to become my favorite, (like laterals and a tunnel). But anyways, the topic at the moment is still T-Express and it certainly is porn for the coaster loving eyeball. Damn! It seriously looks like a matte painting in some shots. -

Holy Sheisse! Space Mountain ERT? Is that a first? I mean, I don't ever remember hearing about any other clubs getting ERT at any Disneypark. -
Really??? Wow, It's so hard to imagine that those huge resorts can be filled! But, it is Disney. I'm going to book Coronado Springs, (love the landscaping and late-night nachos and margaritas), and see if we can upgrade at a later date. I was thinking about changing resorts in the middle, but it might just be all hassle and not worth it. Anyone done it and have advice on how to make it go smoothly and not take up a whole afternoon?
